I hope these young bucks can learn from you because this is straight up business school. As someone who grew up doing manual jobs with my dad and family, I regret all the little lessons I missed for being young and dumb.
Nice work fellas. I do all my installs alone with no help with the room already fully Pre-wired by the general contractor for 2k. With 3 bodies and a gang of fishing and stud cutting you're not doing your company justice especially going into '25 with the cost of living. Been doing this work residential, commercial, and industrial for 25 years and I'm about burnt out on it but hard to turn down 2k for 8hrs of work. One tip for getting those studs out the way for the inwalls, use a good hole saw and drill the studs out in increments. For me it's easier to control and you take a bit less of a risk damaging drywall around it. I like the laser method but stopped using mine years ago, I just find a spot to measure from trace and cut. Actually just knocked out a 7.1 with a 150" screen yesterday and because my price is reasonable the customer doesn't mind helping me lift the screen onto the brackets. I've got a dealer account with Benq and a few other brands so I can do and all-inclusive for around 4-5k and make money off the product and install. A few jobs a month and I'm gravy with supplemental coming from selling the products I developed that I make from home. Keep doing your thing, good to see others sharing the passion.
Yeah see that’s crazy. I feel like I’m the greatest of all time with this installation thang. It’s like watching myself on tv. Huge fan of ourselves, my G.
OK, I just have to say this I understand sometimes scheduling doesn’t work out and the customer should communicate better, but I don’t know if you communicated with the customer either but no one should be calibrating. The audio in that room without the carpet lay down the screams, true lack of knowledge and unprofessionalism if you did not communicate that with the client if so then the client can get what they get lol
