Ah, not sure about this. Most prisons in Taiwan are very overcrowded (just look at how many people in one cell in the last scene), and many don't even have bed: you have to sleep on harden wood floor for years with temp at 30C (about 90F) every night.

For a country with an economy smaller than most, they have a seriously humane jail system. Don’t let your government tell you that they don’t have enough money or capacity to treat people decently.
i hear ppl saying us prisons are worse, which they are. difference is in these countries u get lengthy sentences for simple crimes where as in the us u have a chance of getting out
Taiwanese prison grounds look a lot nicer than actual taiwan. No one is driving scooters around where you walk, no open sewers, and the buildings are wired internally.
super humane prison, everyone is accommodated based on merit. Looks super chill overall, but i do wonder how guards maintain the inmates being so well disciplined and behaved...
We have a very low crime rate compare to most country, according to some reports probably the top 3 lowest crime rate around the world. 70% of the inmate in jail are drug-related. But there is another reason behind the low crime rate, most common crimes are organized white-collar intelligent crimes which is highly professional not only very difficult to catch but also hard to prosecute. Other than that, Taiwan is a pretty safe place to be, just dont easily trust anything you see on the internet or text or you might get scammed.
in asian prison mostly yes u can smoke if u got someone pay for it. ive been in that taiwan prison, doesnt bad, the food is good, more like men camp and rehabilitation. and now i am a better man, with good job, spent 6 yrs
Allowing outside food EVERYDAY is just ? I mean, like first of all, my first thought is the security risk. It's so easy to smuggle things inside. Second of all, it's clearly an area of corruption. Lastly, they're in prison for punishment. As much as you'd like to treat them more humanely, it looks like a maximum prison for grave crimes. Plenty of ways to treat them more humanely that doesn't involve that degree of a security risk + corruption.
