  • G'day friends - In this episode we are exploring the Margaret River region in Australia's South West. Known for its wineries and beautiful beaches, we visit a Rockpool called the Aquarium, take a coastal hike to a waterfall and stay a sneaky stealth camp near Margaret River and then in a pretty epic donation camp, that was just a little bit different!
    We also deal with a small mechanical repair on the van - thankfully Nigel had this one under control!

    The water in Nigel’s mask when he was snorkelling really got me 😂😂 haha
    And also those horses were so beautiful 😍 reason enough to risk going to the nudist camp 😂

    Ahhh that was a lot of tough sand walking for a frog and a leech - eek! Glad Nigel got to do his 'special' dive at the beach anyway 😉 I bet the water was cold... OMG that enormous spider thing in the very rustic loo would have scared the life out of me 🤣🤣🤣

      Yeah thankfully he warned me about it before I went in there!! (The spider)

    Oh, I'm so showing that bush dunny footage to the other half!! 😂 Cannot stand leeches either Sue, wont tell you why, let's just say a 'memorable' encounter that'll just freak you right out! 😅 Usually carry a small baggy of salt or bottle of vinegar with me when out hiking now. Loved the Nigel dives, wouldnt be a swim clip without one!

      Oh no! That sounds ominous !! (The leech) yes I have a small container of salt in the first aid kit in my backpack. Didn’t even get a chance to grab it though!
      And yeah those fives are like his signature move now

    Okay so I’m jumping in at the point where you asked with the waterfall be dry or flowing. If it’s a seasonal waterfall at this time of year it’s likely dry due to the low rainfall over summer. If it has a good water supply then maybe it’s still running. 😂

    • @LynneCarey
      @LynneCarey 2 роки тому

      Haha. So it must have a good water supply. Nice waterfall though. Would be very interesting to see it in winter. 😊

    • @nigelandsueadventures
      @nigelandsueadventures  2 роки тому +1

      Yeah just a trickle!! I don’t think it rains much in this part of the country. Everything is so dry. I can’t remember the last time it’s rained more than 3 drops. Maybe that one day at the beginning of September

    • @LynneCarey
      @LynneCarey 2 роки тому

      @@nigelandsueadventures yes. Summer is the dry season so it doesn’t rain much at all. It rains a fair bit during the winter months but when I say a ‘fair bit’ it’s not like up here in Qld. Rain down there is often drizzle. You do get some heavier rain occasionally of course but mostly it’s just miserable weather. It’s enough to turn everything green though. The areas around Denmark and Albany (and I’m sure all around that south west tip) become lovely lush and green. The annual rainfall is not a lot though compared to some other places in Australia.

    Nudity = liberty. It should be forbidden to force people to wear swimsuits.
