Ninja Foodi Burgers (Stuffed and Unstuffed)

- Hi there! You know I had to do a video on Ninja Foodi burgers! My husband LOVES burgers and usually I let him cook them, he's better at it.
Now, with the Ninja Foodi, anyone can cook a perfect burger!
Ninja Foodi Burgers are a game changer! I have never cooked a better burger than the ones done in the Foodi. The best news is, they are simple to make!
I stuffed my Ninja Foodi Burger with sauted onions and blue cheese, my husband had his just with cheese. They were both perfect.
The Ninja Foodi cooks the burger perfectly and all the grease is collected in the inner pot. So much better than pan frying where the burger is sitting in it's own grease. We loved them and won't cook burgers any other way. Give them a try!
Here is how I made the burgers:
These cooking times are for 2 - 8oz burgers that are done to medium. Please adjust the time based on the size of your burgers and how you like them done. If they are thinner burgers, skip the decreased heat and just go with the second heat of 400° F.
Preheat the Air Crips function on Ninja Foodi to 325° F or 400° F. (depending on the size of the burger) for at least 5 minutes.
Form 1 pound of ground beef into 2 equal size patties. Avoid overworking the ground beef or it will become dense and you may end up with a dry tough burger. If not using a burger press, press a spoon into the center of each one to depress the middle slightly. This will help them to cook flatter and not puff up.
*If you want to stuff your burgers, press ½ of the ground beef out into a burger shape, put no more than ¼ cup of desired filling. Form the other ½ of the ground beef into a burger shape slightly larger and put on top so the meat goes around the sides. Firmly press the ground beef together on the sides so no filling is peeking through. Flip and make sure there are no visible seams or the filling may leak out.
Season the outside of the burgers on both sides with salt and pepper or any seasonings that you like. Place burges on rack in the high position. You can use the basket as well, but I found it was harder to clean.
Cook the burgers @325° F for 5 minutes, flip and cook another 5. Increase the heat to 400°F and cook for 3-4 minutes, flip and cook another 3-4 minutes.
If you want to add cheese, do this with 1 minute of cooking time to go. Remove the burgers and let them rest at least 5 minutes.
Toast bun on the Air Crisp while the burgers are resting. Slather on your condiments and add desired burger toppings, place burger on the bun and ENJOY!

While you can certainly form your burgers by hand, I find the Burger and Slider Press from Pampered chef makes the best shaped burgers for even cooking. I use it all the time, here is the link:

The Pepper I used is Restaurant Pepper or Table Grind Pepper. Here is the link:

I love Burgers. They look so good. Thank you Louise for sharing . God Bless.
Thank you!
That is a big burger. I cook burgers all the time in my Ninja Foodi all the time and they always come out great! Of course not as thick as yours. One of my favorite things that I like to add to my hamburger meat before making it is Lipton onion soup mix. The best tasting burgers I ever made and had. I will have to post it in the site.
But if you never tried a Sous Vide burger. OMG it is done to perfection perfect of course if you do not mine waiting
.
They are big burgers!
Roland Gadue we have done Sous Vide steaks were great. Haven’t done burgers yet, how long and what temp do you sous vide on?
It depends upon how you like your burger.. a medium burger would be about 137° for 1 hour
That’s is so good “Lipton onion mix” such great flavor
Awesome as always!!!!!!
Thank you so much!
DAMN! Ive had mine - still in the box- for a year now. Im breaking it out tonight. Thanks for the cooking lessons. I'll be needing every single one. You Tube and Ninja Foodie, together revolutionizing my diet!
Geeze Louise!!!! That’s a beautiful burger!!!! 👍🏾👍🏾
Thanks!
Just a tip. Season the burger in the press and you don't have to flip it to season the other side.
Great tip!
You know I’ve never thought about a stuffed burger before what an amazing idea! It is an American favorite.... Yes!
Maggie Miller Thank you!

Thank you so much! Just a note that since doing this video, I have changed my technique for burgers and switched to using the broil function. Either method works great though!
The Salted Pepper Are you going to do a video on that change? Just wondering how it’s done. New to Foodi
super looking burgers
Thankyou, Iv'e had a burger press for a while and not had much success, your cooking instructions made a real difference, the seasoning was key and they turned out juicy and delicious.
I'm so glad to hear that!

Thank you 😋
It looks delicious.
Thank you 😋
Boy Oh boy am I so glad I found you!! I got the 8qt 12 in 1 Foodi for Christmas and it is still in the box. I have been over whelmed with the info out there, You make this sound so easy, I love watching and listening! Thank you I will be watching all!!! 💖😊
You are going to love the Foodi! Let me know if I can help with anything!
I just bbq grilled ribeye steak in rainy, windy, 40 degrees, weather. I devoured my ribeye like it was cotton candy. Now I'm watching you eat a burger and my mouth is salivating like Pavlov's dog! I just might get a Ninja Foodi for the Winter months when my grill is buried in snow. But I'm torn between the Foodi pressure cooker and the Foodi Indoor Grill. I own 2 electric and 1 stovetop pressure cookers so it seems to be overkill to add another.
The Ninja Foodi is more versatile in my opinion.
I cook with our new ninja foodi while watching your video recipe. you make it less terrifying ! We had a pressure cooker years ago explode (no one injured, just scared)...... so you take the fear out of this for me and I love having quick amazing food . thank you for taking your time to share and help us
Thank you so much!
Your videos are very instructive. I have been cooking for many years, but I really have learned so much from each of your videos. Thanks so much.
Thank you so much! That means a lot to me!
Great video , love it ..

Thank you! I love Burgers in the Ninja Foodi!
Another GREAT video! Made burgers for dinner. Normally my husband makes all of our burgers on the grill. I made these myself! Super easy and they came out great! He loved it! Your videos are very thorough and informative 👍🏼 thanks for another delicious meal 😬😬😬
I am thrilled you liked them! My husband (I'm not good at the grill! LOL) won't ever grill another burger after using the Ninja Foodi! Delicious!
I’m not good on the grill either 😂 I’ve been cooking every day in my Foodi and think it’s amazing 😍
@@juliesoltis4335 Me too! I am able to make anything I want in the Foodi!
I’ve got to get that burger gizmo. I wish Steve were here because he’d LOVE this. He was such a good cook, especially on the grill. He’d go nuts for the Foodie...
I love it! In fact, my husband asked for a burger tonight to take to work. My hubby is the grill master too! It's kind of funny because I don't do all that well cooking on the grill or so I tell him! 😂
I'm excited to try a gooey burger in my ninja now!
It's a hamburger stuffed with peanut butter morsels and then you use your favorite jelly on the bun! Sooo good! Now I may not have to have my husband start up the charcoal grill for me anymore! Thank you!
That sounds so good! We love a burger with peanut butter, but never thought to stuff it! Thanks for the idea!
love these instructions for the hamburger it works awesome!! This is the second thing I made in our (hubs and I) new foodi. The first was a marvelous whole chicken. We r really liking our new Ninja Foodi!
I'm so glad you are liking the Foodi!
So glad I found your channel. I love my Ninja Foodi. I've only had it about a month, but I'm having a blast cooking with it.
Thank you so much for watching! It's amazing how much fun it is use the Ninja Foodi! I am constantly finding cool things to make.
@@TheSaltedPepper I am somewhat obsessed with small cooking appliances and gadgets. I sold pampered chef way,way back in the day and I need the Hamburger press for sure!
Robin B Pampered Chef has some great things and I'm finding myself using a lot of the products I have in the Foodi because they won't scratch the pot. I'm posting my favorites to our Facebook Group tonight at 7:30pm, if you want to come and check them out. Here is the link to the group. facebook.com/groups/1958301147580787/ If you don't already order PC from someone, you can also use this link to order pamperedchef.com/party/ACoffey . I'm still a PC consultant, but very inactive. It just so happens that a friend asked me to open a catalog show for her. I do love the burger press! My other favorite is the Silicone Basting Brush, I use that to lightly coat food with olive oil before air frying. I also found that the cake tester works great to remove stuck on food under the grate of the TenderCrisp lid of the Foodi! Thanks again for your nice comment and I hope you continue watching my videos, maybe I'll see you in one of the Facebook groups! 😃
Great Idea, can't wait to try it!
Hope you like it!
Those hamburgers look really delicious! Thanks for sharing this.
Thank you! I’m having one for lunch! 😋
Oh My Goodness... this really was the best burger I have ever eaten!!!! And my husband agrees which makes it perfect in my book! Thank you, Louise, for another stellar recipe. We will never bother with Burger King again, thank you very much!! Am going to get the burger press from Pampered Chef because it looks absolutely perfect for making these in the future. Seriously... you have changed our life with this and all of your other wonderful Ninja Foodi recipes. Thank you so much!
Great Looking Burgers, Thanks for sharing
\
Buck Burnette Thank you!
I made these tonight along with the French fries. The burgers were delicious! The fries didn’t crisp up but I found out you HAVE to use russet potatoes and I used golden potatoes. They still tasted really good but they didn’t crisp up.
I'm glad you enjoyed the burgers! I've never tried making fries with golden potatoes, so thanks for that tip!
You are an awesome wife! Dave's a lucky man!
Thanks! It's Jeff though, not Dave.
You really do need a good flat spatula to be able to flip the burgers in one piece at only 5 min at 325. I found it easier to just leave it in for the full 10min at 325 and this way it has more time to set, and then flip before you bump the temp to 400. Great video thanks for sharing.
You are right, I can't stop myself from flipping! LOL
This video really tug at my heart you made the hell out of those Burgers I could actually taste it
Thank you!
Pro tip - Much easier to manipulate when the meat is cold. Make your forms then room temp before cooking. Room temp burger meat sticks to everything.
Good point!
Thank you for just giving us the info without all the BS 😊
My pleasure!
You need a Yum button for this one!!
Thanks!
I get a craving once in a while for a burger and this burger is beautiful. Now I won't have to go to a burger place. Thanks so much for your videos. (the music was great btw)
Lyla Schmooz These are so much better than a restaurant! The Ninja Foodi is incredible! 😁
I decided to buy the 8Qt. Ninja Foodi and you give great ideas, Thank you

@@TheSaltedPepper I like relish :)
@@markbrown5117 Me Too!
I ordered one last night the 8 qt. So today I have been watching how to clean and cook in the thing. Let me see if I got this right. IF I were to make hamburgers, it is going to take about 20 -30 min. Let the machine cool down to clean. Clean the machine , heat it back up. Crisp up some fries. Which is going to take another 20 - 30 min. ? By that time the hamburger would be cold. Unless you had placed in a warm oven, before you started cooking the fries. Perhaps I am over thinking this.
William Wynn I did this video when I first got the Foodi. Also, my burgers are pretty thick in this video. I use the broil function for burgers and depending on thickness and how you like them cooked, they take about 5-7 minutes per side. You can make the fries at the same time right beside the burger and there are racks that fit in the basket to create a double layer. Even if I was going to make burgers and fries separately, there really isn’t any reason you have to clean until you are finished cooking and finished your meal. Now, there is not enough space inside to cook burgers and fries for 4-6 people at once, there just isn’t enough flat surface. I have quite a few recipes using the smaller Foodi if you want to see what foods I’ve made. Https://thesaltedpepper.com
@@TheSaltedPepper Thanks for the reply, I have watched several of your video's. In fact I have watched a lot of videos. Some where along the line someone had said, clean the machine after each use. Perhaps they meant when your done. But the way they said it sounded like, after each batch. Good to know this will cook burgers and fries together. Sometimes it is just me and the wife. So that should work out good for us. Just got an email, the Ninja is suppose to come tomorrow. I have seen several videos of things I want to try. Some of them yours. I can tell you spend a lot of time and effort creating these recipes. As well as making the videos. So a Big Thank You for posting them.
Thank you so much for the kind words and for watching!
Thank you girl
I like to throw two slices of cheese right on the grill then push the bread down on it when it melts so it lifts off the grill when I lift the bread. Melted cheese on top and bottom is a personal fav.
7heRedBaron That’s a great idea! I like melted cheese on my burger (if I’m not stuffing it with cheese). How would that work in the Ninja Foodi? I think the cheese would have to go on the bun top right side up. I’m trying this for sure! 😁
Yeah, grilling cheese would be awkward in the bottom of the Foodi because of it’s depth. But the nonstick bottom would guarantee it would come up on the bread when lifted. I’m sure you could also air fry the bread with the cheese on top. Some tricks just stand the test of time, especially when you never see anyone else doing it.
7heRedBaron yep!
Awesome burgers 8)
Just8Ate Thank you!
you're awesome
Thank you
I just got done eating my burger, wow. I actually enjoyed the taste of the beef, the garlic powder and onion powder I put on. I was pleasantly surprised. If I cook burgers indoors I pan fry them and they always seem a bit tasteless. I didn't realize how tasteless until tonight.
Apparently I didn't flatten the burgers enough beforehand because they plumped up quite a bit and I tried squishing them with a spatula but they seemed kind of stuck in their shape though and didn't flatten too much. I never had that happen when pan frying so I was a bit shocked. I ended up cooking them 5 minutes more at 325 because of the thickness and didn't bother raising the temperature because I didn't want mine cooked to medium. I like medium rare. I took one out to save for later and put some pepper jack cheese on the one to eat right away, AF for a few seconds to melt the cheese. Let me tell you how good the pepper jack tasted too! Another pleasant surprise. The pan frying to burgers will happen no more, it completely removes the taste of everything I put on it. I had some BBQ sauce sitting next to my plate but decided not to use it, it tasted perfect like it was. Thank you so much for your videos.
I'm so glad! Try pressing down in the middle with your thumb, that helps with the puffing.
Hey girl made these last night and they were delicious! I actually got my burgers a little to big but all I did was cooked them longer and they turned out awesome!!!!!!
YAY! I'm glad they were great!
You could put hamburger chains out of business with these big thick delicious looking sandwiches, they look great. Thanks.
LOL!
Perfection !!

@@TheSaltedPepper Well it came today and I had a piece of Salmon about 1.5 inches thick. I cut off the smaller end for later. Put it on the upper rack with a little oil and flower. Crisper for 20 minutes and it came out brown and flaky and moist. It was the easiest way I have ever cooked a fish and it had a great flavor. Almost had a slight smoky taste. Very slight. I took a picture if there is a way to upload it.
I made them tonight, they were excellent!
I’m so glad you enjoyed them!
Awesome.....will hopefully be trying this very soon!!! :)
