    My 13 yr old daughter made this last night all on her own while I was gone and it turned out perfectly. Thank you for always putting out such amazing recipes and instructional videos that even a young, inexperienced teenager can follow and have success. She was so proud of herself, it was delicious and she informed me that I'm only allowed to make THIS chicken alfredo recipe ever again.

    My first UA-cam comment ever goes to The Salted Pepper! (and my first follow!!) I made this recipe tonight. I skipped the peppers and spinach and reduced the garlic. SPOT ON! Thank you!! I'm a foodi newbie (only owned it 2 weeks) and this was super easy! Good flavor! THANK YOU!!!

    This dish is SO fast, DELICIOUS, and easy to make! My husband is not a fan of garlic or peppers, so I omitted the peppers, and only used 3 garlic cloves (he didn’t notice)😉. I also added fresh sliced mushrooms at the same time that I added the spinach. Thank you, Louise, for another delicious recipe. It’s a keeper! 🥰😘

    I made this today and it was a major fail lol but I did do things differently, first of all, I used Penne pasta instead of fettucene noodles, though I did do the 3 mins high pressure instead of 2 mins that you recommended in your written guide, instead of chicken stock I just used two cups of water, the vegetables I used were a little different but I don't think the veggies had an impact to be honest... But I used baby carrots(normally i use normal carrots and cut them into thin strips), sliced bell pepper strips, zucchini sliced into strips and diced onions, I used a blend of brown and red onions... In the end the sauce came out pretty runny and the overall taste was kinda crappy lol... Oh and another thing is I used waaaay less cheese, I just used parmesan cheese and not the other stuff you used, I'd say I used like 1/4 of parmesan cheese maybe? Maybe 1/3 i dont know to be honest, I didnt measure it but definitely a lot less cheese, the food was pretty bland, making it on stove top was a lot better than this attempt. I noticed you didn't use much salt at all, just a little bit to season the chicken, I suspect you relied on your cheese for the saltiness... I messed up big time, I can't blame you though! I did make quite a few major changes to the recipe though I feel like it comes down to either me replacing the chicken stock with water OR the fact that I used penne pasta instead of fettucene noodles... other factors could be that i used lot less cheese and also less variety cause parmesan is not really very salty like some other types of cheese can be! and possibly the 1 minute difference in pressure cooking cause I cooked it for 3 mins instead of 2, the pasta looked overcooked to be honest, but that also could be the brand of penne pasta I used, the shape and size cause that varies from one manufacturer to another but I adore that you make these guides! Very nice and lovely of you!

    • @TheSaltedPepper
      @TheSaltedPepper  3 роки тому

      The stock adds salt too, so when using water instead, you have to season more. The cheese also helps thicken the sauce. If it is too runny, use the sear/sauté to burn some of the liquid off.

    Looks FANTASTIC!! One idea about the noodles. I have done this with lasagna noodles and though it may apply here as well. Could you just soak the noodles in some hot water for a couple minutes to make them pliable and then put them in? I'm definitely going to give this recipe a go and will try that when I make it.

    • @TheSaltedPepper
      @TheSaltedPepper  3 роки тому +1

      If you soak the noodles to make them pliable before PC'ing they may overcook and the starch could really clump them together. That works with lasagna noodles because you are layering them (usually) with sauce/cheese and they aren't touching each other.

    • @DyesubDave

    Looks wonderful! What happened to the garlic cloves? Did they cook down to like the onions?

      @@TheSaltedPepper just made this. It was amazing. I didn’t have cream, spinach ( steamed broccoli separately) and only Parmesan cheese. 🙃 it still was amazing. Oh and used gluten free penne, PC for three minutes. It was really good. Thank you so much for this recipe, it was good, quick and very little clean up. 👍
