Hey brother can you please give an opinion on tata harrier (the company which owns JLR ) because that's a great design but I feel like it has a lot taken from its sister company landrover
I totally agree. At first I didn’t like the rear but then it grew on me until it became the most attractive thing about the vehicle…weird but true story
ohh thank god I'm not the only one who thinks the rear looks so plain and boring... the previous headlights looks like they look right into your soul! THIS..... is just an long pencil stick light.
I love classic Range Rover design and I think it takes me a minute to warm up to their new designs and this one keeps on growing on me but I have to agree with him there is something a bit off with the back and it might be the lack of a pronounced bumper
I am in Love. RR new design which started with the velar is eye candy. I can hardly wait to see how they will adapt it to the RR Sport and also to the Discovery Line. For the rear lines, I also think they were looking into the 1966 Rover 2000 Series. I am very impressed, but it would almost feel like a sacrifice to bring something so beautiful to the raod.
absolutely gorgeous, this is the step that the Asians and the Germans should follow....just elegant without all the fandandles...without the boy racer looks...the Germans have way too many adds on, the Asians think all the front should be occupied by a grill...this is just elegant....
Why would any company follow what others are doing? It makes absolutely no sense to not have your own design cues and quirks. Trends come and go. Imagine a world where cars were basically identical - no thanks.
@@mugilv Everyone knows that they're owned by Tata, doesn't change the nationality of the company. Indian law states that company nationality is determined by country of incorporation and JLR is incorporated, registered and based in Coventry, UK. If you go Tata's website, you can see that they say "two iconic British brands acquired from Ford(American company)" so if it was British when owned by Americans then its British when owned by Indians. Indian-owned does not mean Indian. And incase you don't know, JLR vehicles are designed and engineered in the UK so they are the work of the British and most of the world gets UK built Land Rovers with the exception of the Defender and Discovery which are built in Slovakia. India doesn't make them, they just do final assembly exclusively for the Indian market with CKD kits of a just a few models sent from the UK with the same reason as why Mercedes have assembly plants in India, pay less import taxes. And btw the brand is Land Rover, not Range Rover as its just one of Land Rover's models and now a line-up of Land Rover's luxury oriented SUVs and not the brand itself.
I think they nailed the rear end, it was the only thing I didn't like about the current range rover, the rear felt proportionally too small and narrow in comparison to the front. It looks more balanced now in my opinion.
You missed one of the biggest changes to the rear: how they simplified the 3/4 window. It now looks like it blends into the rear window pane (as if it were one continuous sheet of wraparound glass) and does a lot to help realize the RR's vision of a floating roof design better than it has ever been implemented.
just love this channel - a car nut for 50 years, but with no interest in speed/BHP etc. just looks. And this is a rare channel to cater for people like me! Plus I think you have great taste!
overall the design retains the range rover DNA. It looks futuristic and up to date, however I was saddened by a few things. First the rear design, it's clean and extremely minimalist, but it loses that aggressive look of the headlights that we loved so much. The simplicity we expected in the interior was transferred to the exterior where it fails to evoke the same feeling as the previous model, at least it retains the vertical design and that's appreciated. Thank goodness they kept the split tailgate (otherwise i would have had a heart attack). i would have expected leather seats as standard (as in the previous model's accessories). on the interior, there is a very fine quality of materials and good colour shading. but again the design baffles me. the interior always valued minimalism, and now especially in the doors they overloaded it with intrusive lines that mess up the design, it makes me too much visual noise. the seats that filled me with expectations in the concept turned out to be common without surpassing the previous version. and now the biggest blunder (if the rear design is not already one by itself), to place 3 rows of seats? seriously? i love dscovery 7 seats but.... was it necessary in a range rover? when the l405 was launched in 2013 i still remember my first impression: 4 individual seats, the rear ones separated by a full console: that was a real jet, it created the feeling of exclusivity and individual space. but now we will have to stop at every bus stop to pick up people? seriously? the double screen of the previous model looked very beautiful and perfectly harmonious with the T design. now it looks like it's glued on. as if they forgot the screen when they finished the design...and bam! inserted in two minutes. i think the big breakthrough is in what you can't see. engines, technology and many other things, but precisely what you can see and what we loved so much, remains at 80%. i can no longer say "the best just got better".... it remains the same, but has subtly deviated.
I love the design, it's my favourite designed car ever. It's so smooth and flush and the satin paint is awesome. It's my dream car currently but I'd only get it when it goes fully electric in 2024.
The old has a good looking behind bumper and behind lamps better than the new one . The new one looks ugly and you may think that it has no the behind lamps . Rr need to put a distinct bumpers and luxurious lamps. And lastly the behind body looks to be squeezed and pressed inside and I don't like those curve in. it makes it look less scary and monstrous as compared to the land cruiser. That is why people prefer the land cruiser off road because of it's intimidating and muscular physical appearance.
I just really don't like the rear turn signals, they're just hidden bars, I wish they'd at least touch the taillights rather than being centered. Also wish the taillights were a bit larger, and the simplicity clashes with the complexity of the headlights IMO, but it makes sense as headlights are literally more complicated, overall pretty impressive
@@PhD63 My guess is that the euro spec turn signals will become reversing lights, the entire outer light assembly will be the rear lights (aka rear fog, or the light that turns on with the headlights), The top red light will become the brake light, and the bottom will be the indicator (and will probably turn orange like previous gen models)
I like it, great exercise of clean surfaces that keep the brand identity, the back end is well made and at least is symmetrical unlike the Discovery. Bembli considering the new design language, I would like to see your idea for a new Range Stormer.
It should be mentioned that the lead designer at Land Rover is Gerry McGovern, who has overseen the design of the Evoque, Velar, and new Defender. One of the best.
You’re right about 13:24 and I too thought the same way about 15:21. I personally liked the rear end due to use of chamfers as they’re playing with light that touches and then reflects, which is something gr8! Like removing edges from a rectangle calling it a “No Corner Rectangle” earlier did have a curvature till the tail gate. But, just liked about how they had done the Rear End. This design is more of a Scandinavian Design which itself is minimalist and functional too!!
Challenge: could you please do your best preview of the future Range Rover Sport considering where their design is going? Would be really cool to come back to it later, when it comes out, and check how accurate it was.
I love love love this redesign. Great reaction review video 👍🏾. I see your point abt the rear bumper. I would if someone made a after market attachment that’s form fitting
You can get a 3.0 Ingenium straight six with 400 hp developed and made in-house by JLR if u don't want a BMW engine. All the diesels are also JLR Ingenium units.
I wonder how BMW will look like in a så called "simplified" design. As now I find BMW design very attractive but overloaded with lines and edges... But from other side it is good that all companies does not follow one trend and each one has own design language and face.
The rear is different for sure but it makes the vehicle appear narrower. I don't like the light coloured vertical graphic on the side. I know it's supposed to be a characteristic element but it doesn't add to the design, but instead work against it by impeding the flow of the horizontal lines above and below it. I really like the wrap-round black pillars though, takes a lot of the 'psychological weight' off. Inside, the 'tacked-on' look of the screen doesn't match the otherwise well thought out design.
In design, this is a return to the ideals of the original CSK shape, which is good news. They must have noticed the huge demand for restomod versions of the original style. There are no straight lines, everything curves in at least one direction. Edge features are marked with folds and creases, like the original, with fewer finishers or trim. The styling cues aping Ford are vestigial or gone, now it has its unique identity back that it lost somewhere in the Mk2 and again in the Mk4 The solid black bar across the tailgate has potential to be lit up with that non-dazzle glow right across the width of the car - is that a distinguishing feature they are saving for the electric-only models coming later? One criticism (raised elsewhere already) is you can’t see the hazard flashers with the tailgate down. That’s a problem if you’re searching for tools while stopped in a live traffic lane. Needs some orange strobe LEDs on the bottom inside edge of the upper tailgate as a rear facing warning signal (doubles as party lights for those “event seating” social occasions, or would that frighten the horses?)
Isnt it weird that cars now a days are kind of getting closer to the cars that appeared on watch dogs legion? For example this new range rover looks the exact same as the one on the actual game
Love your vids man, but slow down on the cuts in your videos when you're speaking. Honestly, its nice to hear the words flow and the pauses help the video. The new Range is solid!
Impossible to judge this car until enthusiasts do the work (again since p38) that Land Rover should option at the very least to bring it up to offroading specs as it is intended to be. Until then it's a mall crawler. giant 22 inch wheels with thin racing tires... absolutely ridiculous. Vanity over function wins again. PS that upswept rear line you comment about is for better departure angle when offroading... its actually the lowest line on the Classic and has an actual function.
Really Dont like the Tesla style touch screen control for everything... What happened to real buttons! I miss pushing an honest tactile real button/switch.
But I am wondering about those 3 different colors , bronze, white and red. They are all different models correct ? I remember when they presented the white one they spoke person said it was a prestige line up containing the most sophisticated technology and material inside. This means the white one would cost more than the first edition correct ? Pls educate me on this
If you wonder where the "new" shape came from - just look at the Velar. That design language is superb and I'm glad they've continued it in the big RR as well. Especially with the black roof ones, you get something no other manufacturer offers. With the Velar SVA they managed to create something between Velar and Sport just by changing the body colors and few details. With the new RR, they did "huge Velar" looks. There is a slight issue with the back being TOO modern compared to the front, but hey, still the best looking SUV. Plus the interior is great, super simplistic and clean, it radiates warm luxury, not a sigh of vulgar poshness. (although I liked the rotating gear selector, no idea why so many people hated it).
@@user-rl6px5ob3d eqs is too blobby in my opinion and goes too heavy on the screens on the inside the RS3 isn't the same class of vehicle. The Etron GT on the other hand? Id choose that over the eqs in a heart beat.
This isn't a Range Rover. It is a luxury SUV for women. A Range Rover is an actual off-road capable vehicle, with a massive engine, which looks more at home on gravel roads, fields, deserts, moors etc. than at the country club or the spa. Even though it would look perfectly fine at a country club or spa. I'm sorry, this is just too far and too stupid. Call it the Luxury Rover, whatever it's a fine car, but it just is not a Range Rover. Edit: to say, the rear lights are something I'd expect from a Cadillac SUV. It is just bizarre what they have done with the brand.
I love the concept of the rear lighting, I just don't like the implementation of it. I think it's the square inner edge against the curved outside edge of the lights, it leaves the metal around it too thin. Either the black lighting needs to move in from the edges or I'd like to see everything under the black Range Rover horizontal bar painted black too.
Less is more, JLR nailed the design on this one! I get your point on a more protruding rear bumper, however would that not effect the functionality of the split tailgate? I look forward to the next gen RR Sport.
Use Range Rover BMW engines ❔🤔 4,4 l V8 and inline 6❔ I don't know ❕🤷🏻♂️ The design is extremely nice... but Rover is not my favorite car manufacturer 😅
I love this new design, especially, the interior. The extensive use of matte finishes so clean and modern as well showing us that you do not need gloss black littered about the cabin to make it a high end vehicle. However, I do wonder how well those matte paints will hold up 😳 my ideal spec would a deep blue model with a brown interior and some bright finished wood to offer a contrast agains the dark leather.
I actually love the rear styling and the diminished bumper. It balances the front design which also has a diminished look. Thanks for your great videos. They not only improved my car drawing, they improved everthing.

I am waiting for your Mercedes sl opinion :D
I don't like it. It reminds me of logos that go minimalistic. It just feels corporate and inoffensive and lacks any emotion because of it
Aren't calm and tranquility emotions? Need all emotions be outwardly expressed?
I´m tired of overstyling this aint bmw.
@@user-rl6px5ob3d understyling is just as bad in my opinion, IE the interiors of the model 3 and cybertruck vs the interior of the Rivian
@@sonofagun1037 would you have a 2022 Rs3 or 2022 eqs.
@@user-rl6px5ob3d eqs is too blobby in my opinion and goes too heavy on the screens on the inside the RS3 isn't the same class of vehicle. The Etron GT on the other hand? Id choose that over the eqs in a heart beat.
Like the old headlights better
Honestly, this thing is gorgeous. Like wow.
I think the rear angle is to increase departure angles as well.
It’s the final goodbye to any semblance of ruggedness
Why do you have this Bembli channel when you already have Sketch Monkey?
Great review I really liked it 👍🏻 thumbs up
This isn't a Range Rover.
Front end looked better before, now it’s too sleek, rear however is very good.
Amazing rear end design, honestly the best rear end design in the industry at the moment. Great job Range Rover. And I dont even like them usually.
Use Range Rover BMW engines ❔🤔
4,4 l V8 and inline 6❔
I don't know ❕🤷🏻♂️
The design is extremely nice... but Rover is not my favorite car manufacturer 😅
V8 is a BMW engine but the straight 6 is JLR's own Ingenium unit.
Love the video, the twin antenna design looks weird me. Can you do a video on the Defender?
Defender is a Beast! Same engine.
I prefer a more square front and I dislike the back.
It’s look like this 💰
I love this new design, especially, the interior.
I think it’s pretty much perfect
They ruined the back end, what are those lights
Does anyone else think the front grille + headlight assembly looks like the 2017 Ford Explorer?
BAM!!! I should win that laptop giveaway.
BEND ROVER needs to get a new design.. Getting old papi
I actually love the rear styling and the diminished bumper. It balances the front design which also has a diminished look.
Thanks for your great videos. They not only improved my car drawing, they improved everthing.
Love this design. They nailed it
For me that rear bumper is superb. I want it no other way. If they made it as usual it would look old and heavy. It looks like an Aston Martin bumper.
