I don't understand some people's distaste for the new look. It's so simple and elegant to me, the whole "carved from a solid block" aesthetic is really cool.
Let's not get too carried away, it's still just a big lump with the aerodynamics of a fridge. No big car can really be be classified as elegant. A handsome pig wearing lipstick? maybe
The fact that this still looks modern even though its an visual evolution of the previous model is testament to how on the money Land Rover were with the previous gen. Mega car, congrats LR.
This is art ... feels like someone curved it out from a single piece of stone, SIMPLE, ELEGANCE, GORGEOUS ... feels like mother nature shaped the car all by itself ... this is the ultimate level of modern design
Mr Catchpole… officially the most well spoken and descriptive review of what cars really mean a rangey at least!!!! Thank you!!! Make me appreciate my recent RR Classic even more!!! Retro Luxury compared to modern hahaha it’s an auto with electric windows. Tech stops there but the rest is the same!!!!!
Range rover never disappoints ... I recall with great pleasure the feeling of security and well-being that I was driving Range Rover Holland & Holland I had in testing for a few months, a fabulous car with flying carpet suspensions. I look forward to trying the new Range ... Aesthetically I love both inside and outside ...
The first couple times I saw it, I didn't really like the design of this newest iteration. But the more videos I see, especially when it's in this color, I love it. That shot early on of it driving up the dirt road at sunset was awesome. It's a sweet machine
I saw a couple on the road and I has a good look around of one in the dealership today it's definitely a good attempt but it comes off a bit flimsy I have to say I do prefer the L405 it has that Range Rovers chunkiness
tbf, the newer cars are much more reliable than the notorious old ones. Shame that even though the brand has dramatically improved, its reputation is still suffering today based on stories from the past
I believe you are truly brilliant! Simply describing all the complexities and subtly hitting all the right notes capturing all its essence. Well done! All the best✨
Im on my 3rd rangey, i live on a farm in the Aussie bush. Rangeys must never lose that off road cred. Its the very DNA of what makes the such capable all rounders.
Great looking SUV from the front and sides, still a bit indifferent towards the rear. The interior is fantastic too. Great review by Henry and Carfection team as usual.
This is such a beautiful and complete SUV. I am impressed with its details and quality. Totally superior to its British high end rivals! I just wish LR would mix their launch specs and colours! So tired of watching this golden and black spec. Belgravia Green, please! As always, thanks for a fantastic video Mr. Catchpole 👌🙏
You guys make the nicest videos. My issue is with the cars, everyone wants to make luxury cars these days, for football players. No more cheap, simple off roader for farmers to get muddy. Imagine getting one of these things stuck in a small creek/shallow flood. And we haven't even spoken about the reliability.
I'm sure you know this but of all the automotive channels, yours really does continue to be the most prestigious. I'm sure, as I do, others appreciate the quality of the work you do. Keep it up chaps and chapesses
As ever, Henry, an erudite and factual review with just enough of everything in to make the viewer feel as if they’re actually in the car with you. Brilliant!
Cd of 0.30? That’s pretty amazing since it’s still basically a two box design… a smooth box, but a box nevertheless. Especially considering some of the sleek cars that get around 0.29. I’m impressed and surprised at the same time.
Really interesting bit of aero dynamics for you, when considering drag at subsonic speeds (when air is still easily compressed), it is more important to consider how air leaves your objects as opposed to how it hits it. The raindrop is perfectly shaped according to that, quite blunt on the leading side and extremely sleek on the trailing side.
Took UK delivery of mine in April , a D350 autobiography, my 5th Range Rover . The 3ltr D350 engine is smooth as silk , the car is superb I don’t charge about and I am achieving 34/35 mpg . Turning circle is brilliant . With the rear wheels now turning in it has the turning circle of a VW Golf . Fantastic car , now a 2-3 year waiting list in the Uk . Guy at the car wash offered me a £20k profit on the price I paid , I refused him 😊
Wonderful review! Henry captures so much of the subjective, iconic positioning and feel of the RR that the new model must have in a world that is transitioning to EV and doesn't necessarily want to see shows of excess and opulence. Bravo! 👏🏼
I'm a Range Rover + S Class two-car garage type of person as opposed to being a Phantom + Cullinan two-car garage type of person. Such a beautiful car. Such a great review.
@@ReplicantBattyman fully agree about them being on another level but I don't agree about the people who buy Range Rovers that they can't afford a Cullinan. I'd like to think they used to buy a Range before a Cullinan & a Bentayga came into existence. Still, you could afford the Rolls but opt for something different hey.
Thank you for another great video . As always scenery that has been picked is sophisticated and on its own conveys a lot . Not to mention dialogue whence relaxing soothing narrator’s voice leads us through the valley and the story . Bravo ! Ps the machine is gorgeous . I myself watch your vids purely for visual and sound pleasure .
Saw one in this exact same spec in NJ … they absolutely NAILED the design so much presence on the road and the driver gave it a nice press of the gas and it moved pretty effortlessly
On the photos, this paint didn't look particularly special, but on video... it's beautiful. As well as most of the car - I still don't really like the weird rear, but the rest, and especially the interior, is magnificent. I wonder how does the new V8 sound - the last one was one of the best in that regard, while the new one is apparently from BMW, and they aren't really masters of the V8 sound, to put it mildly. I hope it's the new S68, not the old N63 - and that they've improved the sound, or at least that Land Rover did.
It's amazing how elegant such a large vehicle can look! In this age of electric, large SUV's now make more sense than they used to. Odd that Landrover are taking their time with full electric, when Jag have been pioneers
I got to participate behind the scenes of this launch in Napa. These cars are very impressive and striking in person. Comfortable, luxurious, thoughtfully laid out, and capable. It’s a LOT of car for the money.
Henry, a superb review as always! I picked up mine last week having had her on back order for nearly eight months, well worth the wait, she’s stunning. Belgravia Green, with the Caraway interior, modern luxury indeed! Thanks for your great review.
Nice :D. This looks as familiar as a RR should, with a more smoother/cleaner look 😉👍. Pretty subtle compared with other luxury SUVs. Great job once again ;)
Its funny, the kinds of people who will buy these things won't care about any of this. Its a big car that they can use for the 10 minute commute to the local Waitrose.
I live in the Northern California and have been to Napa Valley so many times. I just didn't know it is that beautiful. Stunning cinematography indeed! Stunning car but I prefer my Toyota FJ62.

old men hate change
Or L405 owners
Good to see someone use the word aesthetic correctly in a youtube comment.
They're playing it safe, it's a face-lift of the face-lift
Let's not get too carried away, it's still just a big lump with the aerodynamics of a fridge. No big car can really be be classified as elegant. A handsome pig wearing lipstick? maybe
The cinematography is absolutely stunning! Well done 👏
I'm pretty sure it's mostly Land Rover stock footage, but still nice, agreed!
Was annoying AF when Henry was sitting on the tailgate and the camera kept on panning side to side imo
@@cannyscott Seemed like very poorly stabilized footage. It was cropped down so much and they stretched it back to size.
With all the shadows across his face as well as his piece to camera at the rear being out of focus?!?!
🎯
The updated design is truly magnificent. Watching the new RR proceed down the highway at speed is almost a regal experience.
watching it stranded on the side of the highway, not so regal however
The fact that this still looks modern even though its an visual evolution of the previous model is testament to how on the money Land Rover were with the previous gen.
Mega car, congrats LR.
Mega is the perfect word, certainly 1 of 2 in my dream 2 car garage

@@Mark__A But I must say that I also found myself well in terms of reliability
Holland Michigan? They have the new range rover in stock?
@@mathmanchris666 No. Holland&Holland is a special series of the Range Rover and I don't think it's already available for the new model
This is the best car review I’ve ever seen maybe. So smooth and concise. Unaffected, none of the clichés or juvenile British jokes.

there are SUV'S and then there is the RANGE ROVER...perfection.
Henry you knock it out of the park - as usual! I always look forward to your reviews...
Props to the editors. The cinematography is incredible, but the music choices, clever cuts and general positioning of each clip is just brilliant.
It stirres me more than i ever could imagine and that is good! Top Designers at Land Rover!
What a beautiful place to sit whilst waiting on the recovery truck to arrive.

Read your comment before watching, said "It can't be that bad."
It's that bad.
Very much looks like they've learned too far into referencing the design of the original Range Rover.
For me, the rear is the only interesting part!
