I am so glad I watched your video. Before I did, I got my receipt and product specifications out. then called the local Moen dealer of which I had purchased from before on new construction jobs. The person that answered said she could not help me, so I got out the old dependable You Tube and turned on to your post. I took off the handle, tightened it up and then pressure checked it. not a drop! All I have to do now is put the handle on. Allen Marshall, Mobile,

I can share the same kudos for the author of this video regarding how meticulous and so easy to understand instructions he gave to assist me along with many others in replacing the insides of the Moen faucet. Even down to instruction us on the size of the wrench (7/8 inch) to loosen the old cartridge nut, and other matters.
So many other video makers waste incredible time talking about non essential items to the point that I want to fall asleep from boredom. And ironically many of them never cover the important steps required to fix anything.
It took me less than 10 minutes to replace my Moen inner cartridge thanks to the person's instructions. Much obliged!

Had the same issue trying to use the crescent wrench. Using the socket to loosen the plastic nut was the brilliant solution, thanks.

Thank you. I was about to give up tonight thinking I had a Moen model that wasn't serviceable, but thanks to your video I saw it was serviceable, and thank you also for the part number too. :)

Those particles can be from the inside of your SS hot & cold flex hoses.

I actually have an updated video of this that replaces all the faucet components.
      ua-cam.com/video/ADDiq3RalSQ/v-deo.html&ab_channel=DIY%26LifeSkills
In this video at 21:23 mark, you can see the original Moen model model tag that was taped on to one of the hoses.
      Hope that helps.

Also, if you look at the description section of either videos, you can find more links to Moen with addition pictures, diagrams, and part numbers.
Note that I found that many Moen parts are interchangeable...though they may be listed as different number sometimes.

    What was the problem ?
    I have really low pressure.

    • @DIYLifeSkills
      @DIYLifeSkills  3 роки тому

I was getting small black particles coming out as shown in the video and it was gradually getting worse. And those particles eventually blocked the faucet outlet which gave me low water pressure. By replacing the cartridge and cleaning out the faucet tip cleared my problems. Hope that helps.

@@DIYLifeSkills well i. Was gonna go spend 20 dollars on part but instead bought whole new faucet and it worked. I recently put a hot water recirculating pump and rerouted pipes. I just put too much glue cause when i took old faucet apart it had glue debris in it. Thanks

@@pipelinerskilllabro1659 Glad it worked out for you. Now it's leaking little bit at the base, so looks like I have to replace the o-ring gasket. Gonna call Moen and see if they'll send it for free. My kitchen is due to complete remodeling within a year or two, so I just want to minimize cost until then.

@@pipelinerskilllabro1659 What I hear is with many people working from home during the pandemic (like me), many are doing DIY projects around the home, so I think Moen may have actually benefited from this crisis. What I do know is many small business owners are really hurting, and we've been trying to help out by eating out more often. Hopefully vaccine will prevail and we can resume normal life in 2021.
