- Moen Arbor Kitchen Faucet Cartridge Replacement with the new one of same type. The replacement part used is Moen 1255 Duralast Cartridge Single Handle. Part Number : Moen 1255 Duralast 1- Handle Replacement Cartridge.
Thanks for making this helpful video. After watching your video I am able to open my faucet handle and hopefully will fix too.
Thank you for this video. I watched 7 other videos before yours looking for the size of the hex wrench. Your's is the only one that mentioned it. Thanks.
Helpful, I was able to tighten my loose faucet handle with the right Allen wrench per explanation on the video. Thanks I didn't have to hire someone to do it for me.
Great job. One added note: lightly clean the inside of the faucet to remove loose scale build up/debris before installing the new cartridge.
Thank you, this answered all my questions.
Thank you! This video was so helpful.
That looks easy enough for me to tackle I just have to get the replacement cartridge and the socket with ratchet and do it. Thanks for the informative video, this is great for the home owner and simple enough for anyone to do it.
you are the absolute man! thank you, my friend. this video is the most helpful video on the internet for the 1255 Moen cartridge.
This helped a LOT. Thanks for putting it up!
Thanks for the video. I had an upright one with a stuck collar, used a wee bit of force to get the collar to pop off. This allowed the tools to easily fit.
Thank you for the detailed video. It was very helpful.
Outsranding video!!!
great video i went and bought the part for my moen and started taking it apart found out the screw was so loose that it was hardly even in there not sure how it must have backed itself out or something or not tight from factory all i did was tighten the bolt a little and wala no drip so if you have a moen like this setup just tighten the plastic bolt that keeps the cylender in place first. might save you guys a few dollars again great video
It worked for me, thanks!
Thank you! I followed the video and fixed mine. The only difficult part is the first step as my handle faces in a way I cannot see the screw hole to put the Allen wrench in, once that is done, everything else happened in a few minutes and the leak stopped!
Thank you so much
Thank you for the extra details in the installation. Nice quartz countertop! What do you know about the rubber O-rings? Do they go bad often?
I think the chrome piece on the side pops off so you dont have to use a socket wrench and you can just use a regular 🔧
Unfortunate the nut will not unscrew. Appears completely stuck and outer part is getting stripped from trying to remove with pliers and pipe wrench. :/
I will try a blow drier, vinegar, wd-40. And see what happens
The CARTRIDGE has a lifetime warranty - call MOEN and get it for free ---
Lol I can never get someone on the phone
special socket? because there is not enough room to fit one between collar opening and fit the nut inside....
Another video on replacing the 1255 cartridge shows the chrome collar simply unscrews by hand. Then he used a wrench to unscrew the cartridge. As far as the socket goes, are you using an impact socket, or a cheap Harbor Freight tool? Brand name sockets have thinner walls, as they have higher quality steel.
He's just referring to a deep socket being needed to include the valve stem. Or like Rusty said, the collar probably unscrews.
ruined chrome collar as it will not unscrew or slip off help
