    Dear George,
    When Christopher's new pro model drops, it would be rad to see you with Christopher on The Nine Club discussing the research and development behind this new deck. There has never been this much time invested into developing a single pro model deck in all of skateboarding history, so this product release is a major event and the most anticipated skateboard product ever.
    I'll buy two tickets to see that show and the Christopher Hiett Bones Brigade T-shirt.
    Thank you for continuing to be exceptional George. You're the true visionary and innovator of skateboard equipment. Hi Stacy, and DeVille!

    if you ride mostly skateparks/smooth ground that won't chip your board, it's easy to have even a normal 7 ply maple board last 6+ months. i have an almost impact board that i've been riding every week for a year and it still works great. i'm always surprised at how soon people say they "need" a new board

  • @SabrinaMorris
    @SabrinaMorris 12 днів тому +2

    Rog needs to be on Powell. The Andy Anderson deck is so amazing. My flight decks did indeed last longer than a normal 7-ply, but it became uncomfortably flex-y before I even razor tailed or wore the corners round. Getting rails to stay screwed in was a nightmare on all of them, and I tried everything--hand screwing, power tools, outsourcing to more knowledgeable skateboarders who have installed hundreds of rails. All the same result--ripped out on the first or second board slide. At this point, I'd buy the shape but of the 7-ply version.

    • @RogerBagley
      @RogerBagley 10 днів тому +1

      Try drywall screws…screw them right through the board and break off the ends that go through. You’ll never have to worry about your rails again.

    Powell needs a 14"wb on the wider boards.

    • @BobGuido
      @BobGuido 8 днів тому

      The reason for maintaining the wider wheelbase on wider shaped decks is that most of the skaters riding wider decks learned on them and are older transition riders that require more stability. Especially in their twilight years. Nimble footwork and quick response times are the things of youth. Older riders need 15+ WB for dependable balance and support. Older riders are not kickflippers or mega tricksters. If you want a short wheelbase, what about drilling some holes? Popsicle decks have a short wheelbase because they are designed for modern skateboarding which is mostly based around flip tricks, rails, long manuals and other mote technical skateboarding that benefits from having a smaller deck with short wheelbase. People who ride wider decks do so for the extra comfort and stability they offer. The wider wheelbase is part of that extra comfort.

      @BobGuido 7 днів тому

      @@32srt32I have yet to see anyone over 45 at my local skate park do any flip tricks and it's a very busy park in a giant metropolis. Most skaters who buy shaped decks are over 45 years old because those decks stopped being made in 1990 when everything changed to popsicle decks. Mark Gonzalez has a skate company called Krooked and they have a Ray Barbee shaped deck that is like old school decks but with a larger kick nose and a 14.25" wheelbase that should satisfy your needs.

    Flight Boards are the best! LASTS FOR YEARS! ROGER IS TELLING THE "1000%" TRUTH ON THAT!
    FLIGHT BOARDS have amazing Quality, Lightest decks on the Whole Market,
    the strength to the weight ratio is the best.
    Most Well Balanced deck that's a "composite", with great lasting pop that lasts for the life whole of the deck. Even a "regular" non flight Powell deck has great Pop.
    ITS also USA MADE! and hardly no boards are USA made anymore.
    we have like 3 Wood Shops left.
    POWELL 100% in house! USA MADE products. They're own Products!
    No one is doing that! takes Time to build a company with (Upward Integration)
    The other brands order from "woodshops" its a difference.
    The quality translates, its obvious someone at Powell has Integrity!!!!!

"Ok that's definitely the Jake Wooten there and now we're looking for out something a bit 'Ray Barbee'ish, Tony Hawk is after Ray in case we overlook the Barbee reference" 😂 good wholesome nerdy 420 fun 👍😇🫒
