Ben Duerr's skill is insane. The fact that he continues to do downhill skating to this level is practicality a miracle. Great video, Powell Peralta team.👍
Thank you much much! I strive to be as consistent as possible. Powell Peralta Dragons make sending it significantly easier for me. I don’t have to go nearly as fast to slide twice as far. This formula is what I needed!
This was completely and totally insane, I loved every microsecond. Brought a tear to my eye. So refreshing to see this sort of thing on a sensibly-sized double kicker. Wish I could b/s powerslide more like that. What a bloody weapon this guy is. Love the VHS intro, this video is too cool on every level.
If you want more of gnarly double kick downhill action Eric Jensen from Comet skateboards has dope videos that you can dig up. Can't believe that shit was nearly 10 years ago.
The autumn trees with their yellow and brown colours look amazing. I used to love Hill bombing down Hyde Park in Leeds most days to and from work. The ride to work was a 2-and-a-half-hill bomb into Leeds, and the return journey was even better, with an amazing skate spot at uni with perfect 200-meter quarter pipe banks being a highlight. There were also concrete benches and curved benches, and the steps, rails, drops, and curbs all on a massive uni campus down the park and finished at my house, which was at the park. It was like a skating dream where you see perfect spots and you are just going and going, but this was real .
@dfpguitar Yeah, it's worth it . Security is tighter now . I started skating when city centres used to be shut on Sundays and all the skates used to travel city to city as you had free access to the whole city without much push back . I'm still skating in my 40s and have been skating some 26 years or more. So I'm happy with a curb 'slappy' and skate park pools. we have a great one in the Works skate park, which is as skater for many a year, I own the guys and a few people on the board for trustees so a small number get to go after hours late into the night. That's my lot these days ,but I still go to Hyde Park skate park and ask a few locals whose spots are still good. But the hill bomb from Hyde Park rear right to city Square in Leeds is still good .
George Powell delivering the dragon formula to the public changed skateboarding forever! Ben with this extraordinary ability to balance just about any surface with reinforced confidence by using the latest in technology. Thank you for making these quality films so That we may view them for the rest of our lives.
Holy crap man! That was sick. Makes me want to go hit the puny hill down the street from my house and pretend I’m as good as Ben. Super stoked on that video!
I remember skating down hills in North Vancouver BC in the 80s. It was so much fun. Slowing down on the grass! I never was as fearless as you. Wow! I had a Tony Hawk, and always loved Powell Peralta. I ended up freestyling with a Rodney Mullen. They were the best times in my life.
All the standys were wicked to watch. Still trying to understand techniques, but learned so much with so many. But slide finish with laughter is real and fun. Epic vid. 🙏🙇🏻♂️
Sketchy as heck riding those wheels like that. Buttered ice. Def not what I would choose. I ride several sets of dragons but they are uncontrollable for me sliding.
I have a few set ups with dragon formula 54s and 55s and at high speeds they get pretty slick, but in the wide 60’s of the video, they look much grippier. This was pretty gnarly either way.
are the dragons bringing hype back to longboarding like them otang wheels and loaded boards?? I kinda wanna know whats good w them. I checked out around "These" wheels. Been a while since I laid some nice thane.
I believe so. Orang and loaded have a lot of hype. I believe Powell and all of their equipment represent the industry standards. Powell is now the biggest name in DH skateboards because of the consistencies in their formulas.
I want to know how far he made it...top speed. Spotters? How many times has he bombed that spot... so many questions.... powell Peralta will always have a special place in my ♥
About a mile and a half with 1000 vertical drop. In the beginning and end I’m at about 45mph. No spotters. First time ever riding this road. Thank you for your questions.
1) How many miles was that from start to finish? 2) my JM Duran board has never ever gone that hard! 3) Three of my P & P boards roll with 56mm Dragon wheels.
This is so RAD. Skating at its basics but so much fun. He's got some GNARLY slides that aint so basic lol my eyes started watering a little bit i feel like I was bombing that hill lol
come out the Gifford Pinchot National Forest! We have tons of FRESH black top logging roads fresh for the taking........ These roads are closed all winter long and only open for the summer. Butter!
I think they are Powell's downhill trucks. Aera. The wheels are Powell Dragons 64mm 93A. It is a new urethane formula that Powell came out with a couple years ago. Normally softer wheels don't slide that well, but, the newer formula does. Though I think downhillers normally like a softer wheel that is less slidey because they are going so fast. I think the formula was designed more for skateboarding than downhilling originally.
That looks like one hairy ride. My old road would be insane to skate if it was a sealed road. It was like a rollercoster just driving my car on it. If the Powell team ever gets to Victoria Australia, try to work out how to get a road closed for a bit because doing the black spur road would be a NDB but the hair pins in that road is some of the most beautiful vic ash and tree ferned forest in the state, if not the county and thats a sealed road. I haven't got the balls to do it and you wpuld need traffic control dudes but would love to see someone achive it. It would be an absoule first!
Dear lord. That was the gnarliest thing we’ve seen in a long while.

i appreciate the compliments boss! Dragons changed my life. it is my favorite formula ever!
@benjaminduerr5455 I also enjoyed watching the first video with the white version of the wheels My favorite part you didnt touch the ground at all!
MAN HELL FUCKING YES POWELL PERALTA IS SKATEBOARDING
was. then plan b came along...
Without Stacy I don't think there would have been a PlanB.... or any of the rest. He held the industry together for quite a while. Do your homework
Holy crap man! That was sick. Makes me want to go hit the puny hill down the street from my house and pretend I’m as good as Ben. Super stoked on that video!
I love that. My heart pumped harder during the whole clip. Also the colors of the trees were amazing to watch.
Amazing! Total fearless skating. Loved it Ben.
Thank you boss!

Best thing I’ve seen today! Love the old school intro and outro! Please lean into that more!
Thank you! I appreciate that a lot.
Much respect to the filmer
That heelside at 3:50 is one of the craziest things I've seen
Check out his 3rd video that just came out. He has some crazy long slides in that one too. Possibly, even crazier than this one.
Fuck yeah! That's the hardest wheel I've ever seen anyone downhill like that on. Sick. 🤘 Those slides were noice.
ive often use Ben's footage when i need some inspiration during my ongoing progression with skating. His freeriding is so on it
Thank you so much. That means a lot! Keep pushing boss!
👊🏻
such a sick set up, the aeras on a dk is the dream for me
The trucks are Aeras? I was wondering about that. No idea why those trucks cost so much though. Too much for me.
Awesome down hill SK8ING. The drift Power Slides!🫵😊
All the standys were wicked to watch. Still trying to understand techniques, but learned so much with so many. But slide finish with laughter is real and fun. Epic vid. 🙏🙇🏻♂️
BEN IS THE BEST DUDE! that was insane! 😩
Gleaming the Cube 👏👏👏
Watching this video is cathartic.
that's one of the craziest run i've ever seen
My body hurts all over seeing the wobbles start up.
He was hauling some serious as. Would be scared as hell wobbling going that fast.
The heat inside those wheels after that run.. apt they are "dragons" 😄
After runs like this, they are too hot to touch. The hotter they are the better they slide, it is wild.
@@benjaminduerr5455 few more slides and i reckon you'd melt them free from their bearings !! RAD
What an absolute demon. Sick downhill man
Would be sweet if you guys had a speedometer in the lower corner of the shot. I love that Powell-Peralta is still a rad company after all these years!
Incredible sights & sounds!
So cinematic!
I can't help but wish they'd have done a kickfkip tho...
takumi fujiwara has returned and he got into skating
Mind boggle bombing but still has time to shout “Happy Thanksgiving!”
Thank you😂😂. Always gotta be nice to the neighbors
normally hate on downhill vids but the scenery is so pretty and those slides are nice
Why would you hate on downhill vids??
That was fcin gnarly! 🤘🏼
FUCK!! My heart was racing the whole time, and I'm sitting at home!
He'll yeah brother!!! That was so dope 🔥🤘🔥🤘🔥
@03:07 he almost bit it but kept it going. 😲😲😲😲GNARLY MAN!!!
Sketchy as heck riding those wheels like that. Buttered ice. Def not what I would choose. I ride several sets of dragons but they are uncontrollable for me sliding.
Same for me!
Dragons feel like soft wheels on wet ground. They slip out more than they slide.
@@nachotaildrop They have a new 88A version. In some cases, I feel like those are almost slicker than the 93As though.
Dude!!! Make me scared just watching him. That’s the best
93a is hard for downhill, yet it sounds filmy and smooth
This brings back memories of the Los Gatos mountains.
🔥 I can’t think of a better raw run
dude was actually drifting those corners wow.
awesom, love ben!
insane! hey how they hell do they film it so well???
just watched a video on follow cams lol

64s actually, but, it looked like they were worn down at the start of the video. Wouldn't be surprised if they were 60mm.
Pure talent
4:20 man thats fast 😮
Beautiful video. Fuckin cookin. Send this boy two boxes of wheels.
..better than a dream!
Them back power slides were Gnar
"Toesides"
and yes, much gnar gnar.
This was awesome! Would love to see hill bombs on regular/popsicle deck and wheels!
Absolute mad lad! 🤘
So sick!
Hauling like that on 93A? I've clearly been outta the game for too long sheesh.
