@:Mosey: Ferocious I get your point, but I hate to break it to you, you’re in the minority on this one. If I could do 1 minute videos and get the same channel growth and analytics, I would. It would save me time too. I think I made it clear in the video how valuable my time is to me. To act like your time is the only time that’s valuable is a bit selfish don’t ya think? The fact is, short lawn tip videos are not what true lawn people want. Trust me, I’ve asked…many times. You see, lawn care is a life style hobby for some people. You know, kinda like cars, boating, camping, etc. They enjoy the lengthier lawn talk (or “superfluous” talk as you called it). For those that see lawn care as a hassle and are only looking for quick tips to fix their dumpster fire yard with as little commitment as possible, which sounds like you, I can see why they only want 1 minute videos. They’re not willing to put in the work it takes for a beautiful yard in the first place. There are UA-cam Shorts for those people. The truth is, I upload Shorts and lose subscribers. I upload full length videos and gain them. You have to know your audience as a creator and what the community is looking for. In lawn care (for now) it’s not shorter videos. That may change, and I will always be observing and adapt if necessary. I just love the know-it-all comments like yours, because they’re more times than not wrong. And I’m sure none of my explanation will change your thinking, which is typical of the type. Regardless, I enjoy giving it as other people will read it too. Thank you for watching and the feedback though. I’ll respectfully disregard it however. Have a great day.

Been battling Virginia buttonweed, crabgrass, and dallisgrass all year with a new lawn .. soooo hard to get rid of. Tons of trees and shrubs so root active is a tricky one for VB. MSMA and dormant round up. Planning to use prodiamine this next spring. I swear VB will germinate and thrive in the thickest lawn. Lawn was abused for years before I got it unfortunately.

    1) how closely together can you use the pre emergent peoduct you use and fertilizer? Let's say a 16% nitrogen one? Time them apart ?

    3) how does this effect trying to grow grass ?

I use Prodiamine dispersible granules which is mixed with water and applied with a sprayer and have had good results. The trick is to learn how to distribute the spray at 1 gallon per 1,000 sq. ft. The best way is to mark off a 1,000 sq. ft on your drive way if it is large enough. And fill your sprayer with a gallon of water and start spraying to see how fast you need to walk and how far off the ground to hold your spray tip. An area marked off at 500 sq. ft. and your spray tank filled with a 1/2 gal. of water will work, too. Both type of pre emergents, granular or Prodiamine DG, recommends at least a 1/2” of rain or manual watering to activate.
