Barry (middle) is the oldest brother. Robin (no beard) and Maurice are twins and are three years younger than Barry. They started performing at ages 9 and 6. They were already singing in perfect three part harmony. Yes this was falsetto. They all three have amazing voices. Write all of their own songs. To describe Robin's voice is to say he has a beautiful haunting and vulnerable sadness to his voice. Never heard anything like it. The song, For Whom The Bell Tolls showcases Robin's beautiful voice and Barry's voice. Together they make a completely different voice. In the very first part of the chorus in mentioned song they sing together before Robin goes solo. It's incredible. The video I suggest is where they're under the Brooklyn Bridge. You've probably heard their song Staying Alive. Twelve years after Barry was born they got a younger brother Andy Gibb. He was born the year the Bee Gees were established. To establish his individual talent Andy started a solo career. His like Barry's mini me. They even have identical birthmarks at 12 years apart. Andy's first three singles hit number one. His first hit he's live on the Midnight Special singing, I Just Wanna Be Your Everything. In January of 88 they announced Andy would be joining the Bee Gees as a permanent member. Sadly before this was to happen Andy died a couple of months later on March 10th just five days after his 30th birthday. I have over 150 favorite songs by them. Each just as great as the next. Their chest voices are amazing too. You will not be disappointed by these brothers. They're incredible.

I am 70. These were my favorite singers and musicians and songwriters of that whole best ever musical Era of the 60's 70's and 80's, and this is my favorite song EVER!!!!!!!
They are in the Rock and Roll and Songwriters Hall of Fame. They had 9 Billboard Top 100 #1 singles. Wrote and sang over 1000 hits. Those #1's don't include the #1 s that they wrote for other artists like Celine Dion, Kenny Rodgers, Dolly Parton, Barbara Streisand, and many others. The Two on each end are fraternal twins, Robin and Maurice Gibb the oldest brother in the middle is Barry.. Their catalogue is Phenomenal. They ruled the disco era but are so much more than disco singers, They were known for their falsettos but sang in many different registers. I'm certain that you've heard many Bee Gee songs without realizing who it was. Staying Alive is probably their most popular but they sang from the late 50s to the early 2000s. You can pick any song that they sang and it with be great.
The BeeGees were simply one the most technically perfect vocal groups in history. This song stands out on so many levels. Lyrically, it's astoundingly perfect it's more akin to a sonnet than a song due to the depth of the lyrics. And their performance is simply perfection with a full backing orchestra and all in one take WOW ❤😂
The BEEGEES turned me in to a disco duck!! I first heard of them when our small town in Ohio got its first Pizza Hut WITH A JUKEBOX!! I learned how to use a jukebox and dance and like pizza!! Ahhh the 70’s!!!! My favorite is MORE THAN A WOMAN❤️🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶💯

This song was donated to the children’s charity “UNICEF” it has produced over $10 million dollars plus so far. Their falsetto voice started in the disco era with Stayin Alive. Some of their older songs are more of their natural voices. Check out their playlist .
The horn section you referred to was part of a trade they made with the group "Chicago". The horn section would play on 2 of their songs and the BG's would sing back up vocals on a Chicago song. The way I read it was the horn section showed up and asked for the sheet music of what they would be playing. They were told "We don't do it that way" (none of the brothers could read or write music). They told the horn section that Barry would tell them what sounds he wanted and where he wanted them, 20 minutes later it was done, the song was finished, even though I don't really call this a song, but more of an experience, They have a lot of songs that make you feel like you're being transported to a different place, a better place.
They have been singing together since Barry (falsetto) in the middle was 8 and the fraternal twins Robin (vibrato) and Maurice were 6 so they are so in tune with each other. They also have ordinary voices.
Thats the Univers of the Bee Gees. I grow up with the best Group ever. Nobody can switch there Voices like the Bee Gees. And Barry's falsetto is not from this Planet. ❤❤❤
You're not alone, a lot of reactors have thought they were black! They are brothers Robin, Maurice and mostly lead singer Barry. A lot of people know them mostly from 'Stayin' Alive' in Saturday Night Fever but they have so many great songs it's worth checking out more!

They are "The [B]rothers [G]ibb". The first song I loved from them was "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart", prior to their foray into disco for which they are mostly known.
They are brothers, so not only do their voices have the same genetic qualities, they sang together all their lives. They are unparalleled in vocal harmonies. They have a huge catalog to explore. They were IT in the 70's. The movies Saturday Night Fever and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band both feature the music of the Bee Gees. They were the background music of so many of our lives! Thanks for a great reaction!
you are missing the point, Sgt. peppers was written by the Beatles and was their album. The Bee Gees did the movie as a homage to them cause they were a big influence on them when they started out. I think Nowhere man was the only song the Bee gees did in the movie that was not on Sgt. Pepper but it was written mainly by John Lennon.
Barry (the oldest brother & lead singer), is the last surviving brother. There were 4 brothers total. The youngest, Andy, was the first to die, due to a heart problems from drug use. He was a solo artist for a while. Bu the plan was for Andy to join his brothers, but died before he could. The Gibbs brothers were singing/performing since childhood.
Thanks for the insight! Crazy that all of them were excellent singers! Definitely in the genes! Sad that Andy died so young before he could join his brothers! 😞
The brother on Barry's right Robin did most of the lead singing in the 60's. When they recorded "Nights On Broadway" did Barry realize he could sing falsetto & the rest is history.
The Bee Gees never dissapoint." All of their music is absolutely beautiful and wonderflul to listen to. Try next: "Fanny Be Tender With My Love" An absolute masterpiece .
Over 1000 songs written and sung by them all uniquely BeeGees but totally different. They had no genre and their vocal range was phenomenal and harmonies unmatched. They are brothers Barry the eldest in the middle and twins Maurice or Mo the bearded one and Robin the clean shaven one. They preferred to sing around one microphone. Listen to How deep is your Love and Alone.
They are 3 brothers. Too Much Heaven id sung in their falsetto. They have e chest voice. Yhe one in middle us yhe older nu 3 w . The other 2 arr fraternal twins 3 years younger .
They are all brothers, sounded like the radio to their mum as little tackers singing harmony. She was a band singer, their dad was in the band. The 2 shorter guys Robin and Maurice, said Morris, called Mo, were fraternal twins. Barry's musical instincts were spot on. A tech asked for 6 tracks to blend in the best. He did 6, note, inflection and all the same. That's how it goes when he's the writer. He asked to add a bit to a song just recorded, very minimal adustment needed for it to fit perfectly from his head, nobody had heard it before. At first they couldn't read music even, had no formal training. Learned of the existence of volce falsetto doing Nights on Broadway. Ran with it. Competed as brothers do, Barry could keep it up longer, could add vibrato, very unusual. All three did lead at different times. Rabbit hole starts in the 60's. Born on the Isle of Mann grew up in Aussie, back to the Uk, contracts were hard to get in aus, their parents signed for them, young, went on to the USA, much younger bro Andy followed years later.
@@setonhillstudiosyou absolutely have to hear their younger brother Andy who was like older brother Barry's little mini me. He died super young like 30, drugs were involved.
They are all brothers. The lead singer is Barry Gibb, the other two are twins...one with long hair is Robin, the other is Maurice. All but Barry have past away!
The BeeGees are one of the best groups that have ever existed. They not only made great music for themselves, but they made great music for many other well-known artists.
Hi Im A 75 year old woman from Aotearoa New Zealand. They were favourites of mine when I was a young mother. They fill my heart with joy hearing them again.❤
These guys are brothers which I am sure you know buy now. The name Bee Gees cam from their names, "The Brother's Gibb" Th sad part is that you never got to grow up with them. Explore all their music YOU WILL BE AMAZED!!!
The guy in the middle is Barry Gibb, the oldest of the family and the only one still alive. The group got their name from his initials. The other two are Maurice Gibb and Robin Gibb, the next 2 brothers in the family. The youngest brother, Andy Gibb, had a great solo career and was going to join his brothers in the Bee Gees but sadly, he died before he had the chance.
Thanks for this reaction. The story of The Bee Gees is fascinating to me. They also had a younger brother, Andy Gibb, that had a solo career. Robin and Maurice were fraternal twins.
Just want to say right off the bat that you obviously have good taste and talent, you pointed out everything good about them right away!!! Thanks for showing the love that they deserve, it means a lot. I'm going on 62 and grew up with this kind of music and it still gets to me to this day!!! Gotta love it, if you don't I really don't think you appreciate music! Thanks for the your reaction!
I grew up with this great group & had a lot of their albums. Most people react to their disco era. My favorites are from the 60's-70's. Some of their early hits were "New York Mining Disaster 1941", "Holiday", "World", "And The Sun Will Shine", "Really & Sincerely", "The Singer Sang His Song", "Lonely Days", "Melody Fair", "First Of May", "I Started A Joke", "I've Gotta Get A Message To You", "Massachusetts", "To Love Somebody" etc.
Get ready…They performed as a trio from 1958 until 2003 with Maurice’s (right) passing. Over 1,000 songs, written for themselves and other top voices of 3 decades. Besides this one, ‘Alone’ is my favorite. Another great harmony song is ‘Run To Me’, back when they were teens! And the live Midnight Special TV show performance of ‘Nights On Broadway’ is a normal voice rocker, but also the first song that they use the falsettos in…🔥
"Too Much Heaven" was The Bee Gees' contribution to the "Music for UNICEF" fund, on January 9, 1979. Later, the song was published on their thirteenth original album, "Spirits Having Flown," where it hit #1 in both the US and Canada. In the US, it was the first single out of THREE from that album, to interrupt a different song's stay at #1. It knocked "Le Freak" down for two weeks, before it could jump back up to #1 again. Then, "Too Much Heaven" also rose to the top three in the UK. In the US, it became the fourth of six consecutive #1 holdings -- which equaled the records set by Bing Crosby, Elvis Presley, and the Beatles, for the most consecutive #1 songs...now that's pretty "COOL!" (grin) Here are two of my favorites (from earlier years -- songs that we loved to sing in my little folk band, in the 60s) that you can find right here on YT (just check for the exact titles, as shown below)... Bee Gees "Words" on The Ed Sullivan Show (1968) Bee Gees - Could It Be (1965) Now, I can't say that I like all Bee Gees songs. There are some I don't like at all, but it's not because of their sound. THAT, I have always loved. I just don't like some of the subjects, plus, it seemed as I was beginning to walk BACK with the Lord in 1975 (after 14 years of trying to ESCAPE from Him...but that's impossible), the Bee Gees were putting out more and more songs of which I had no interest in listening. I have always thought was sad (sigh). This one -- "Too Much Heaven" -- is an exception to that rule. Thank you very much for your reaction, and for bringing some pleasant nostalgia into my life today. 😀
They sound that great together because they are BROTHERS. The Bee Gees is short for The Brothers Gibb. Barry is the oldest and is the one in the middle. The other 2 are Robin and Maurice and were twins. They also had a younger brother named Andy who had a solo career. Sadly, Barry is the only one who is still alive. They were huge during the 70s disco era but they had a lot of huge hits. You should definitely check them out!
The one in the middle is Barry Gibb and the one in the beard to his right is his brother Maurice (pronounced Morris ) They had a younger brother(Andy ) he died at age 30 in 1988 Barry is the only one alive (and still singing) today
In my 70's & it's not hyperbole in the slightest to say the Bee Gees 'owned' a decade. Their impact on music is not to be understated. If you want to hear Robin sing (long hair on the L) Highly recommend an early version of "I Started a Joke" (big hit) & I will say nothing about it except to say Robin does a wonderful job as lead singer. & The older, more original version, is better.
Barry Gibb is in the Middle Robin Gibb is on the left Maurice Gibb is on the right Barry is the oldest and Robin & Maurice are twins. They have been singing together since the sixties. They also have a younger brother Andy Gibb who had a solo career. He looks and sounds like Barry.
He was asked about his high pitch. He said it started when his twin brothers were babies (9 years older than them)He used to talk to them in that voice. When he realized how easy it was, he started singing in it
It's as mesmerizing today as it was 40+ years ago when it first came out. Hard to believe there are some people on this planet who are not familiar with it. Enjoy!
They're not recorded on one vocal mic. They are miming the original soundtrack. In the studio each brother recorded his part three times and that's how they get that full Perfection out of it. This is not meant to demean them. You'll never see Talent like this again
If you want to hear a good example of Barry's chest voice (the brother in the center) go listen to Nights on Broadway and also Fanny be tender are two good examples of his voice in a different register than his famous falsetto./DSH
Brothers Gibb (Bee Gees) - Barry (middle), Robin (left), Maurice (right). Robin & Maurice are fraternal twins. Catalog includes 100s of songs, which they all wrote themselves. Also wrote for others. Ever hear of Islands in the Stream?
You gotta go down that rabbit hole with The Bee Gees.. Their catalog of classical hits is what’s phenomenal.. Barry (who is the oldest) is the only living brother left.. Andy Gibb who also sung was the youngest and the first to pass away. Robyn and Maurice were their fraternal twins and are no longer with us either.. Welcome to an Era of the most beautiful music known to man.. Enjoy it as much as we did ❤
Barry Gibb in the middle is the oldest of the 3 brothers. His natural voice is baritone. They switched to falsetto in the late 70's during the disco craze. Sadly, the twins Robin (left) and Maurice (right) passed away years ago. Barry is the last surviving member of the Bee Gees. The horn section in this performance was the members of the band Chicago.
No need to blur out the BeeGees. Barry owns everything and he likes it when people listen to him. He's given away more #1 hits to other singers for free.
Thanks for the info! Never really know and we are fairly new to it. Some stuff gets completely blocked if you don’t blur but thanks so much for letting us know! Now we know moving forward! 😄

Three brothers with heavenly harmonies!! ❤
Awesome, can’t wait to hear more!
I second this. Fanny Be Tender is genius and gorgeous!
When it comes to the 70s, soft rock, disco and R&B soul rocked! This type of good music is gone and now there's crap!
There’s still a lot of good music out there nowadays, but I get where you’re coming from!
Dude the BeeGees r a total experience! U won’t be sorry if u dive into their music!
Thanks so much for all the info and swinging by the channel! Unreal talent and I cannot wait to hear more from them!
So sad they’ve all passed, but what a legacy they left!
@@setonhillstudiostheir sister is also alive.
@@setonhillstudiosBarry is alive
Andy had a beautiful voice too and he looked a lot like Barry.
The BeeGees are one of the best groups that have ever existed. They not only made great music for themselves, but they made great music for many other well-known artists.
As a counter tenor Barry had a 4 octave range
Bee Gees - Love you inside out
Thanks for the suggestion and for swinging by to check out the video!
Hi Im A 75 year old woman from Aotearoa New Zealand. They were favourites of mine when I was a young mother. They fill my heart with joy hearing them again.❤
Hi! Thanks so much for hanging with us and checking out the video!
I have heard this song a multiple times and I get chills running over me like the first time!! My G- boys are phenomenal to see and hear!!
This take was live and serious.
These guys are brothers which I am sure you know buy now. The name Bee Gees cam from their names, "The Brother's Gibb"
Th sad part is that you never got to grow up with them.
Oh wow, that’s so cool! Thanks for swinging by to check out the video!
They could all sing in any register. Truly amazing voices!!!
Wow!!! I have to check out some of their older stuff before they started doing more falsetto! Much appreciated!
Hey, you're gonna be more pleasant if you play thier songs ' how deep is your love' ' tragedy ' ' love you inside out and many more.
Really appreciate the kind words and thanks for hanging out! Definitely a phenomenal group and can’t wait to hear more from them! Have a great one! 😁
Thanks so much for suggestions and for swinging by to check out the video!
And the live Midnight Special TV show performance of ‘Nights On Broadway’ is a normal voice rocker, but also the first song that they use the falsettos in…🔥
So cool, thanks for the suggestions and for checking out the video!
The Lead is Barry and his brothers Robin and Maurice Gibb
Thanks so much for sharing! Have a great day!
Their music made many a happy love match back in the 70s.
One take.No gimmicks. No auto tuner. And all monies for this track to charity.
He's actually a baritone. But yes, they are famous for their falsettos.
Soundtrack of my life !❤
They have written songs for Barbara Striesand, Dione Warwick, And Celine Dionne. Please react to Immortality sung by Celine with The Bee Gees.👍👍👍👍
Wow! Thats awesome! We will add it to the list and thanks so much for stopping by! 😁
Four Bee Gees' brothers. Barry (still alive today, March 2024), Maurice and Robyn (R & L). Their youngest, Andrew, died too early.
In the US, it became the fourth of six consecutive #1 holdings -- which equaled the records set by Bing Crosby, Elvis Presley, and the Beatles, for the most consecutive #1 songs...now that's pretty "COOL!" (grin)
Here are two of my favorites (from earlier years -- songs that we loved to sing in my little folk band, in the 60s) that you can find right here on YT (just check for the exact titles, as shown below)...
Bee Gees "Words" on The Ed Sullivan Show (1968)
Bee Gees - Could It Be (1965)
Now, I can't say that I like all Bee Gees songs.
No problem, thanks for all the info and for checking out the video! ❤️
Maranatha!! 🙋😘🌈💞🌹
How Deep is Your Love, will show their range comparatively.
Appreciate it! Can’t wait to hear more from them!
Staying Alive, You should be dancing, winds of change, lovers prayer, spirits having flown
Appreciate the suggestions!

Thanks for the suggestion and for swinging by to check out the video!
Brothers who've sang 3 part harmony since early childhood.
Thanks for sharing! Phenomenal talent!
The brothers gibb....started singing and harmonizing over 60 yrs ago
Sweet, thanks for the recommendation!
Loved your reaction nephew 💙
Appreciate it so much! ❤️
They are brothers and have been singing together since they were children, they are also phenomenal musicians as well
The Bee Gees were the greatest ever! Their music touches your heart and soul!! Perfection!!
Barry Gibb is in the Middle
Robin Gibb is on the left
Maurice Gibb is on the right
Barry is the oldest and Robin & Maurice are twins. They have been singing together since the sixties.
They also have a younger brother Andy Gibb who had a solo career. He looks and sounds like Barry.
It’s in the genes I guess! Amazing singers and a phenomenal song! Can’t wait to hear more from them!
Oh, goodness, play the video of Stayin' Alive. Absolutely terrific.
I bet it’s fantastic!
He was asked about his high pitch. He said it started when his twin brothers were babies (9 years older than them)He used to talk to them in that voice. When he realized how easy it was, he started singing in it
Barry was about 3 years older than Robin and Maurice, and 12 years older than Andy.
It's as mesmerizing today as it was 40+ years ago when it first came out. Hard to believe there are some people on this planet who are not familiar with it. Enjoy!
Thanks so much! Yeah, better late than never I guess! Appreciate you swinging by the channel!
They're not recorded on one vocal mic. They are miming the original soundtrack. In the studio each brother recorded his part three times and that's how they get that full Perfection out of it. This is not meant to demean them. You'll never see Talent like this again
BEE GEES STAYIN' ALIVE !!
Such a good one!
Never heard of it!
@@setonhillstudiosIslands in the Stream was a super famous duet song by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton
@@lindanichols3415 Oh cool! I bet that’s killer! Thanks for sharing!
I hope that you will consider doing more bee gees.. unmatched harmonies.
The guy on the left is Robin. his lead voice is very special too. "Massachusetts" or "I started a joke" are others he sings.
GO DOWN THE BEE GEES RABBIT HOLE .. TRUST U HAVEN'T EVEN SCRATCHRD SURFACE OF THE OUT OF THIS WORLD TALENT EACH ONE HAS INDIVIDUALLY AND TOGETHER .. I WATCH AND LISTEN EVERYDAY AND STILL HEAR SOMETHING NEW .. THEY ARE 👑👑👑.. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK OUT LITTLE BRO ANDY AS WELL ..SO MUCH TALENT IN ONE FAMILY...INCREDIBLE...
