Steve Perry’s voice is truly a gift
One of the best ever!
And then some!
He owned that stage, but gave the guitarist the respect he deserved.
Good on him.
Take out the noise of the crowd and you'll think you're listening to the recording. Steve's voice was that great.
He changes that one line depending on what state he's playing, this concert was in Houston when I seen him he said RIGHT HERE IN TORONTO.

Steve Perry is my all time favorite. I watched the Directors cut yesterday and learned so much about the band. I could see how at times Steve was real rough to work with but then There is NO voice that can ever match Steve Perry. He is one of a kind . I am so blessed to have grown up in the time Journey was becoming famous and so glad to have heard their music. I'm sure being on the road and being so famous takes a tole on the body, I mean look at what those guys do every single night on stage(all rock bands) tough business to be in. I hope these guys know what their music means to people. it is magic and can heal so much pain and bring so much love and memories of better times in life.
He wrote this song when he was touring and was in his hotel room and he looked down onto the people in the streets moving in all directions and was thinking about what they might be doing out there. Thanks for sharing.

Do Mother Father by Journey but do the live version and watch Steve sing even higher. Steve Perry was and is a blessing to us. Thank goodness he came back to the music world on his own terms of course. He has a new Christmas album coming out on Nov. 5th. If you want to see what he looks like now look at my profile picture this was taken in October 2019. That day is still the best day ever!🥰

@Gail Simmons I’m so jealous! There was a picture of Steve last week & he’s letting his hair go gray & he looked wonderful. I think it made him so much better looking than the artificial coloring he’d been doing! Regardless of that, he’s still the same great looking man we love✌️☮️

I was at that concert! I made all of their concerts between the late 70's up until the mid 80's. Such stellar live performers!

Yesterday I discovered your channel. I am so very glad that I did. I love your energy and your devotion to, not only your wife, but the Lord as well. I was fortunate enough to be at this very concert at the Summit in Houston in 1981. I love Steve Perry! A video that you should check out is Journey's "Feeling That Way" the live version from 1978. Greg Rollie and Steve Perry together on vocals will blow your mind! Greg left shortly after Steve came into the band, but their voices together are pure perfection!
He goes even higher in "Wheel In The Sky" listen it's right as the guitar solo starts. You won't be disappointed. God Bless.
My first concert was THIS ONE. In Albuquerque, NM. They were dressed the same. It was probably just a few days in front or back.

Dev, watch the 1994 concert vids on YT from his solo "For the love of strange medicine" tour. He was on fire! Also, have you listened to his album "Traces" from 2018? He also finally put out his classic Christmas album he had wanted to do. Oh also his "Street Talk" 1984 album is one of the most underrated albums ever IMO!

I had the good fortune to see them live in Hampton Virginia. They sang the song and blew the roof off. To see him live his voice has so much passion it brought to tears. I will never forget them. One of the greatest rock bands ever and he could sing a phone book and make it sound great. Pure awesome.

Great reactions bro.. long time huge journey fan here.. there is a song called "the blade " off of the frontiers album that is severely underrated and his vocals are absolutely insane and more intense than anything they have done. Def check it out. Or another song called " after the fall" you'll lose your mind on that one too.. keep up the good work and keeping journey and Steve Perry alive.

Journey is my favorite band when Steve Perry was with them. Still listen to them almost every day. They have so many great songs. You could probably have just a Journey reaction channel and have a lot of content. Most of their albums went double platinum. I bought the video to this concert. You should watch it. I've watched it a few times and ready to watch again.

Sir, I just found your channel and I must admitt, I am impressed. Now If I may educate you a little. Back in the 50's and early 60's when highschool boys had dates with highschool girls they would take them down to the lake or up on Lovers Lane. This is where guys would try to score and first base second base came to be known. Girls were taught in those days that a girl would burn in hell if they gave in to that evil passion so scoring was not an easy task.It took a huge commitment from the guy, the right song on the radio and a lot of luck. Journey gets a bad rap often. They were much better than people give them credit for. Their drummer is superb and Steve Perry is one of the best rock singers ever. The rest of the band ain't too shabby also. Sure they sing songs for people to sing along to. But they are good songs.
