To hear him sing this at this concert is unforgettable
Timeless performance! To your point, 1973 no ear piece, no autotune, Elvis is controlling his own fades both in and out with his superb mic control, displaying his unbelievable pitch. All while performing live with a full band, 2 backup groups and a orchestra. Great reaction! 🔥
The thing that keeps hitting me is just how much he feels the music. That "death glare" was a direct response to the bass horns hitting their bottom pitches. AND ....... at the end, I am in awe of just how much power must have been coming from him to be clearly heard above the (as you say) full band, 2 backup groups and orchestra with the mic that far away from his mouth, and he STILL comes through so powerfully. The man is a true legend and can NEVER be imitated. RIP Elvis!
@@tamimosher9368 I totally agree. Very well said!!!
He was a Master of his realm. A true artist and legendary King. R.I.P. Mr. Presley.
I don´t get it because I´m not a musician. Why didn´t they wear an ear piece at the time and why do current musicians have all ear pieces in their ears?
ELVIS , MAGIC ❤
There will never be another Elvis. I am blessed to have been alive during his lifetime.
true but austin butler does a hell of a job
@@matthewberg5835who 😐
Me too, got him in my blood by mom in the early 60s. Fantastic singer is an understatement😎
Elvis was Superman!
Elvis is the MAN!!!! If you don't get chills listening to this then you aren't human!!!
An example of why Elvis was and still is the King. Absolutely phenomenal performance. Gives me chills.
Still the greatest entertainer that's ever lived.
No one comes close to his greatness 💕💕
Amen
Yes sir
Elvis the goat
Amen!!
I cannot hold back the tears when I hear The Greatest Male Vocalist Ever tell a story of his Childhood. His voice was an instrument. 😢
Elvis: the King of America. 🇺🇲
He is and always will be the G.O.A.T
Oh yeah this song was definitely made for Elvis, because he was a true southern gentleman , loved gospel , and loved his country ,and he is the only one who can sing it , with so much passion and emotion and the power in his voice , just makes you feel it thru your heart and soul ❤️
Fantastic!!! What a voice.
Elvis was nominated for 14 Grammy's, he was awarded 3, all for his gospel music.. and ironically 2 for the same song How Great Thou Art, both the recorded version and the live version both received a Grammy. So with the limited technology he still manages to give a Grammy award performance.. just amazing
Brilliant, it's monumental!
The most beautiful voice in the universe! He is unique, the only with the total package. The greatest singer of all times.
ELVIS PRESLEY: A VOICE FOR ETERNITY! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The king donated all the money to charity from aloha from Hawaii. He helped Danny Thomas open Saint Jude. He raised the Arizona at pearl harbor. And 10 000 other things. He's one of the very top people in America history to give his estate still gives. He did hundreds of concerts for charity. He holds the record for most flowers sold in one day. 1977 August. Long live the king of rock n roll and everything else. TX good night Graceland
Elvis is the King of America. ❤🇺🇲❤️
WITHOUT WORDS........ELVIS IS THE BEST 👏🏾👑👏🏾👑👏🏾👑👏🏾👑👏🏾👑💋
Love him or hate him there is no denying this man was extraordinary talented and striking good looking and left a mark in the world that very few people have
I wanna say as a 51 year old man who was raised on Elvis , and I remember where I was when he passed because my mom was so devastated, seeing you two enjoying and respecting his pure talent makes me smile , and u are so right with his voice and technique. He was a gift . I am still and always will be an Elvis fan and thank you both for bringing him to the masses 🙏🏻 TCB ⚡️⚡️⚡️
Same here 51 years of age... I was seven when he passed and I was a fan at 4 years old because I caught a replay of the Hawaiian concert in 74 - I believe I was attracted by his outfit and cape - I really thought he was a superhero - turned out I was right after all, a real life Superman! We Miss You Elvis👈🤠
@@tcb1012 well said my friend TcB⚡️⚡️⚡️
I’m a 56 male Elvis fan ,to me as a kid growing up his Xmas album was my first …..and a box record player for Xmas at 6 so 73 I was in awe of him from that day!!!
My whole family cried when he passed !!
I'm 50, and I remember vividly the moment his death was announced on the radio. I never saw my mom so devastated.
And that was just the rehearsal, lol. His greatness will never be matched by anyone. My hero.
I WILL LOVE ELVIS UNTIL THE DAY I DIE!!!!
That is my favorite of all his music. Simply fantastic. 👍
simply the greatest nobody will come close there will be people reacting to Elvis in another 100 years
Presley, Sinatra, and the Beatles will be remembered a century from now.
Many could probably write the music but only Elvis could really tell the story! Forever the King 👑
It's hard to imagine him topping this performance, but he absolutely did in the one that went live round the world 💕 either way, his voice just leaves you speechless, breathless and utterly awe struck. Magic 💕
This is the one that went world wide. Aloha from Hawaii
@@beckylb8610
Yes but it was the first show which was recorded in case the satellite failed, then they'd show this. A precaution.
You can tell by his hair and the lack of lei's round his neck.
Both parts of shows can be seen on here.
The only one competing with Elvis was Elvis
@@beckylb8610this was the rehearsal show not the one that was live.
What a incredible man talented beautiful voice it put so much in his gospel songs thanks for this video
What a voice, what charisma....there is noone coming close to him...a real superstar,I was 15 when he died...and a friend came rushing...
Have u heard....Elvis is dead...I know exactly where I was that second...
Elvis Presley was one of the greatest showman in the history of the 'business'. No doubt.
I can only say this. There was only one Elvis. There will always only be one Elvis. Elvis Presley became larger than life. Elvis---The King of Entertainment. Never to be forgotten. May he always RIP!!
Epic performance. Magic moments with Elvis are lifetime journey. beyond his music . He was amazing human being, really humble and down to earth person. you can see his influence on many generations. around 800,000 people visiting Graceland in Memphis Tennessee every year.
Rip To The King Of Rock n Roll Elvis Presley ,We Still Miss You Always
My boy was born to sing this song, always flawless and fantastic, you have just had your
ears blessed, he will never ever be anything but but the King, sleep well my super nova.
Loved Elvis. Such a talented is never forgotten.
ELVIS The King of Rock And roll.. will never be another one like him!!
As (another musician) It's great to see your reaction to the technical performance of this show. What Elvis is doing here cannot be reproduced.
Watching this performance is spiritual ceremony 😳
Elvis was the best masculine singer ever and of course the most versatile singer ever. "The King" could sing everything.
no he couldn't grow up.
@@bwana-ma-coo-bah425 Heh? Couldn´t grow up?
@@Katzenhase he could not sing anything!
@@bwana-ma-coo-bah425 Of course, he could. He sang country, rock, gospel. He would have been great in anything because he had that talent.
@@bwana-ma-coo-bah425 You don´t know the "King". That´s your problem.
You guys are fun! Long live the KIng
He is THE KING for a reason!!! Still the #1 selling artist of ALL-TIME!!!
If not the G.O.A.T Producer of live shows. Elvis was such a perfectionist live on stage. Just pure raw talent.
He has the best band and back up singers. I love the way he controls the band.
Love you guys so glad you can listen to Elvis and see his talent and hear that amazing voice of his rest in peace to the king of hearts
Please guys keep the Elvis music cominnn’.
This proves to everyone that he is the King of Music!!
So sad Elvis is gone the world really needs him now.
I remember Bugs Bunny singing it also.
That is why ELVIS will always be the "KING" of music!!! RIP!

That's why he's the king of rock n roll he's a badass
After Elvis Presley died on August 16, 1977, the African American newspaper, the Chicago Defender explained that: “When Elvis Presley breathed his last breath and the press hailed him as the ‘King of Rock,’ Ol’ Man River cried out, ‘Naw he ain’t! My friend Chuck Berry is the King of Rock. Presley was merely a Prince who profited from the royal talent of a sovereign ruler vested with tremendous creativity. Had Berry been white, he could have rightly taken [Presley’s] throne and worn his crown well.’”
@@bwana-ma-coo-bah425 Chuck Berry wasn't even in the same league as Elvis Presley. Nice try, now run along.
@@jessiem276 I agree Chuck was way more talented than Elvis.

My fav performance ever
Amazing reaction guys . Now this was from the rehersal show . You can tell because his hair is styled diffrent. It was Col Parker who organised this concert . Both concerts raised 75 000 dollars for the kulali cancer fund . An hawaii songwriter elvis knew . Elvis took no fee for these concerts . Listen to what now my love from the same concert or Its over .
My personal favorite was I Will Rember you

@@cindyk.6462 totally it was a huge amount in 73
@Graham ...this was just the REHEARSAL SHOW?? 😳 I must have seen this video a dozen times and had no idea!! Man, his rehearsals were probably better than a lot of others' live shows. I'm so happy and proud to be an Elvis Presley fan, may God rest his soul. 🥰❤❤🙏
@@TakersMissy yes he did a full concert both nights . The rehersal show had 2 different songs to the acual broadcasted one .
Plus, Elvis paid all costs for the band & singers. Also, to ensure all seats were available to the general public, there were No tickets given away (as are usually given to “important people”, insiders, radio stations, etc) & there was No set ticket price. People were encouraged to pay what they could afford. Elvis started sales off by paying $1K for his own ticket. @@laughingbad 1972 much better
Lived my whole life in Louisiana and grew up as a kid in the 70’s under parents crazy about Elvis. James Burton who played guitar for Elvis for many years is from and still lives in the town right next to where I live. I was only 8 when Elvis died so never saw him live but I’ve seen his old guitarist James play Elvis stuff many times here in clubs around town and he’s amazing. This was always my most fav Elvis song but being raised southern myself, it resonates. Everyone in the south knows what he’s saying with these lyrics. He always had a perfect voice for songs that sounded like or were gospel hymns. I’m 53 and started learning guitar two years ago. Suspicious Minds was the second song I learned. I love playing his music. It will always be spectacular.
Always!
I get goosebumps when i hear these songs. My family come up north but brought these songs with them. i have no shame to say i still listen to them and respect/reflect it's meaning to All Americans!
You could not have a picked a finer Vocalist . Ty
Thank you for a great reaction of the King!
there's a reason the King is the King !
If you notice, if his band sings or like in this instance when a member is playing the flute, he always turns towards them, like to give his complete respect
You two are very perceptive and spot on with some of your observations.
This is absolutely AMAZING...What a voice...Jesus
I love your reactions to Elvis! His vocals are incomparable! Love the smile on your faces and the joy he brings to you and all his fans throughout the decades!
Para sempre em nossos corações Elvis Aron Presley

Mind blowing.
Just saw this,i love this song...thank you for your reaction...and by seeing Suzy look she really loves his voice
I’ve gotta agree with and give high props to Matt for turnin’ y’all on to the greatest entertainer of all time ELVIS!! I’m 73 and have been a huge fan since I’m 6 years old when I was supposed to be in bed but stuck my head out the door to see him on the Milton Berle show. Livin’ my life through him ever since!
He was called the King for a reason. No one compares. He opened the door for more black performers & was a generous man. If you have not heard him do 'In the Ghetto', watch it. Powerful song with a totally different vibe. In those days, you could sing or you couldn't. No fancy technology helping anything. His voice was amazing & the world lost an amazing talent, far too soon. ~ I love how he always put the Karate moves in his performances. He started it when he was in the Army & continued throughout his entire life. He was a blackbelt & took it very seriously. My brother was in the air force & was stationed in Hawaii during the Vietnam war & got to see Elvis live for his Hawaii concert. 1973 maybe? I was sooooooo jealous.
Great movie. More Elvis. Goosebumps
