Man, what a bummer! Always glue, they tried talking me into tape years ago and I was like nah, no thanks. Other people swear by it too but in my experience seeing other taped sets it looks awful. I didn't know you were doing videos man, very cool! Keep it up!
Wright on brother, it’s totally my fault for knowing better. I’ll be releasing a video on the full kit in the next couple of days. What cut’s the deepest is the fact that i did so much work on the shells to get them ready for the wrap.
Super great video! I have some collector drums that I wouldn't think of rewrapping, but my "beater" drums and my practice drums I wrapped, but on a super budget (in other words, as cheap ad I could). One of sets of Ludwig Rockers I used a fabric wrap that I taped the seams over the existing wrap, which I can remove at any time. They look great, I guess bc the wrap is flexible, not hard plastic or mylar type like yours. I wrapped 8 large drums for $36., and I have quite a bit left. Not meant to contradict your awesome advice, but a totally different approach for non valuable drums. Thank you.
What's the best glue to use, as I believe some can damage the finish? Precision Drums use Delmar wrap and I think they did recommend tape. I could be wrong though.
@@vazquez808 Yep, you're right, as I just ordered some wrap from Precision Drums and they did indicate using either 3M Fastbond or Weldwood Original Contact Cement. BTW, for some reason Jammin Sam recommends tape and both companies sell Delmar wrap! Great video, as very important message.

Precision recommends that you glue it down using 3M’s contact adhesive.
