All the haters need to gain some perspective. Live it's not about sounding exactly like Dime note for note. That's the UA-cam, sitting alone in your bedroom (troll) experience. It's about THE SONGS of Pantera. Getting together with a group of friends, getting loaded and enjoying the songs one of the greatest bands ever. When you're in the crowd going nuts, live Pantera blaring from the speaker stacks, you gonna look at someone and say "Hey, I think he just missed a note" Well I think you missed the point. Cant wait for the new tour! Extremely happy with the news. Not so broken! Hahaha
Decades later these guys are still amazing and been through hell still banging 🔥
I'm stoked for this pantera tribute tour. It's going to be mad celebrations at every stop.
Beautiful and tender, lovely music for Sunday dinner...
The sweet music of my youth I love it still listening to it at 43🤘
49 here!
Rock on brother, rock on!
I'm in my mid 50's and I'm still head-bangin' to these songs !! It's like being a kid, again!! I'm lovin' t !!!
@@j.s.8496 keep it going
Zach's gonna need to throw a Floyd Rose on one of his guitars even though he's not into whammy bars if he wants to truly get the Dimebag sound.
I was thinking the same thing but I do appreciate that he's not playing in his own style. He has a total different style of playing than Dime did. He'll get it. Just gonna take some time, he's kind of sacrificing his own unique sound in order to pay tribute to Dime and I respect that.
He has plenty of guitars with them. Where have you been?!
Zack has plenty of deans ones that dime bag had made for him personally and I'm sure he has some wash Burns in there too from dime
That and he'll need to change over to Randall amps to get that Randall crunch that Dimebag had!!
Ya he probably needs to practice his dive g harmonic pulls Dime always did
Call Phil killed it awesome performance time to form a new Pantera with Zack
*Zakk
Hell ya
This is one of the top ten songs that shaped my early teens.
It is definitely an epic thing to hear now since Pantera is coming back can't wait my skin crawls waiting I'll pay 1000$$ for a ticket
And finally Phil got his voice back now he’s once again the best and most fierce front man in heavy metal history ! “ Good job brother💕
Zakk was always open about how he loved dimebag as a brother! Always gave him props when he was alive. No one more fitting than guitar god zakk playing his fellow brother's music! Can't see anyone else doing him justice! Fucking-A! 🔥
Pantera is easily in the top 10 metal bands all time and people clearly still wanna hear their music. Phil still sounds great
Shit top 5
Top 3 in my opinion
Totally happy to heard again!! ZZACK you did your best as a best friend.
ZAKK!!!!!
This brought a tear to my eyes. I miss Dime.
I'm so glad he decided to keep the major parts of Dimes solo.
I only say this cause I see some artists, when playing a cover, they make up their own solo instead of learning the original ones.
He could of banged out his own great solo no doubt, I'm just glad he played Dimes the best he could instead.
I love the fact that both Rex and Phil are part of this. In his heart, this is what Vinnie always wanted. Closure. Let’s blacktooth the hell out of this!
this is the exact opposite of what vinnie wanted lol still going tho

So amazing! No guitarist better to fill in for Dime, Zakk is the man! 👌🤟🤟🤟
My two favorite guitarists! (plus Hetfield)
No way brother- Kenny Giron is note perfect.. Dime reincarnated…search Kenny Giron Pantera on UA-cam…enjoy!
Phil working in the black metal growls. Simply amazing to see such talent coming together to do what they love after all the years and the ups and downs. Respect
Phil’s singing was on point
He sounded bad ass!!! I was like IM BROKEENNNNNNNN
The fuck he did, he butchered that shit. He needs to quit, seriously, he's the reason Pantera split, he doesn't deserve to be playing that shit.
He sounds even better today!! He was still drinking in 2014. Look up recent video. He sounds incredible lately bc he's been taking care of himself and his voice
Where has this fucking been??? This is as good as, "yesterday don't mean shit" at ozzfest good. Phil is the shit
I'm so happy. Can't wait to see Pantera + Zakk and Charlie 🤘
I cried when I heard Phil and Rex were doing a tribute tour with Zakk. This is an absolute dream come true.
Its actually being called Pantera, technically. Not a trubute
Why is this a dream come true without Dime there is no Pantera this is a total money grab
@@jackmayoffer2318 that what I was thinking! Phil and Rex must be going broke lol
Get a fucking grip buttons
@@Skeletal33 Doesn't matter what it's being called, it's NOT Pantera!
When you're in the crowd going nuts, live Pantera blaring from the speaker stacks, you gonna look at someone and say "Hey, I think he just missed a note"
Well
I think you missed the point.
This is not well rehearsed, by 2023 I'm sure Zakk and Charlie will have it dialed in. If not you can just stay home.
Coming from someone who obviously missed seeing the true Pantera most likely..
@@hobo1704 Then don't go to the show, stay home and troll.

@@EricWmUpdate I won't, I saw them back in the day so don't want to ruin my memories of that plus I don't want to have a thousand phones in my face from little weeds like you.. have fun POS
@King Of The Kill AIC died with Layne champ, you have no idea about music if you think they made good songs.. just to keep the money train going. Have fun at the show with thousands of phones in the way from the generation of snowflakes. Sounds awesome 😂
I think I've seen Pantera 15-20 times. Met Phil and Dime a handful of times. Seeing this come to fruition is bittersweet... I hope they really dial it in and respect the legacy. Let's be honest, this would never have happened if Vinny was still alive.
That's why I'm weird about it... someone asked Zakk about it ten whole years ago and it only came to fruition after Vinnie passed because he just didn't want to do it. His family may have approved it, but he's fuckin rolling in his grave
@@danplaysguitar6706 Could not agree more! I don't want to sound like Debbie Downer here but this isn't a Partera reunion. This is Phil and Rex playing Pantera songs.
@@BlackCanvasAudio I don't think there's anything wrong with the music being kept alive. By using the Panera name, even without the brothers, a new generation who may never have gotten to experience the tunes now will have the chance. The gatekeeper mentality is really strange
This makes my heart so frick’n happy. I can’t think of a better person to honor Dime Bag than Zakk Wylde. OUTFRICK’NSTANDING!!
Respect for the Brothers fallen, and respect for getting it together to do this, Zakk was always the shout for this.. This is just aTribute ...
I hope, as a CFH fan that these guys take this seriously... they are giants of the metal scene. We live in a society that has disappointed time and time again. Movies, music, etc.... I hope these guys produce the best they can. The metal scene has stood on their shoulders for years, I hope this is a chance for the Pantera flag to raise and pay sincere tribute to the greatest most influential band since, for me anyway, black sabbath. Getcha pull Phil, Rex, Zakk and Charlie
Fu k em. We got a blessing here.
Sabbath passed the torch to Pantera and Pantera to lamb of god. Best genre of metal in the world.
Im paying all my credit cards off forsure!!!!! It's gonna be an awesome tribute tour!! Couldn't imagine any other guy to pay tribute to dime and bi Vin than their best friends!!

Zakk really can pick up Dimebag's style, long live the legacy of Pantera

Pantera was one of the first heavy bands that I fell in love with. Then when Damage Plan came out I was stoked that I could still see the Abbott brothers live. I've seen BLS 3 times but never in my wildest dreams thought I could see and hear Pantera play live. I remember being 15yo and watching MTV2 and seeing the breaking news of what happened to Dime. I started crying man. Then never getting any closer between Vinnie and Phil before Vinnie passed away. It hurts but as someone who has never got the opportunity to see one of the biggest and most influential metal bands, I am beyond excited. Can't wait for the tour and to celebrate the legacy of Dime and Vinnie.
You still won’t get to see Pantera live
@@Liberty_76 I remember in 1987 when Skynyrd first got back together with the new members. It took them a few years before they got it right, but after that they were rockin like the original band. ACDC did it too. Sure would love to go back to the 70's and see the original Lynyrd Skynyrd live though.
@@JohnSmith-gi7jw I’d love to have seen the original Skynyrd as well but those examples you listed are kinda Apples and Oranges when it comes to Pantera though. Dime and Vinnie WERE Pantera they were the heart and soul of the band and the main songwriters. It’d be like Michael Anthony and Sammy calling themselves Van Halen or Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic reuniting and calling themselves Nirvana
Im really pumped to see zakk perform his best friend’s riffs and solos on a whole Pantera set.
This is a bad ass cover band!!!
