The Abbott brothers were, despite their hard-partying ways, absolute professionals when it came to their music and performance. Never a bad set from either them, regardless of how crazy things got with the band.
huge metal fan who somehow really never got into Pantera and thats what strikes me about his live songs and the writing of the solos. He can be extremely rhythmic or just solo, either way its really clean.
I've said this before, I have over 280 concert shirts and NO ONE AND I MEAN NO ONE touches this band live. When the shows over your both euphoric and exhausted.
Of all the bands I’ve seen live, these guys were the most fun to watch. Pantera was great showmanship. I don’t know exactly what differentiated them from other bands but there was something there that was extra special. Watching Dimebag live was eye and ear candy. He just looked cooler than everyone it wasn’t just his awesome skills.
Thank you so much for sharing this with us. Very cool to see Rex playing a Spector USA Jason Newsted artist model five string bass. Pantera never gets old.
i saw Vinnie Paul when Hellyeah was playing a festival in Australia back in 2011 i think it was. He was on beat 100% then and he always was a beast on drums wherever and with whoever he played. RIP The Abbot Bothers and Pantera. I will be listening to your music for the rest of my life.
I was at the Verdun show when Phil got angry at someone throwing a bottle and invited the crowd to “punch in the f’n throat” anyone throwing a bottle. LOL
@@MADguitar bernth is incredible. Bernth is not dime though. Dime made his guitar sing in a way that almost no metal guitarists do, it’s the blues influence in his style. True! Even drunk as hell it’s hard to find a time when he missed a note.
Never heard a pair of drums and guitar so loud in my life and I’ve been to tons of shows! These guys were untouchable!
The good old days
So glad I witnessed them 5-6 times in the mid nineties. I’ve been to over 300 live concerts. Pantera was “stronger than all”. 💪
Band sounds incredible!!! RIP Dimebag and Vinnie
How good was Phil’s vocals live? The man nailed those high screams… so hard to do live. Respect.

I can't help to be sad watching this knowing there will never be bands/music like this again.
Lamb of God is fairly similar
Oh..me too, but I found a band that sounded like a Pantera. Тhe sign of the southern cross.
I recommend listening to Exhorder
