I've requested Clutch from soo many reaction channels and it never happens. Today my favorite reacter is. Awesome! I hope you get to do more Clutch they have tons more great songs with deep lyrics. "Ghost" and "Regulator" are good ones to start on.
My favorite band ever. Luckily i have seen them 6 times here in ohio. As has been said other places here on youtube....clutch is the best band you've never heard of. I, too, would love to see more reactions to them. I can't even pick a favorite but oregon and land of pleasant living are kick ass lyrically with killer grooves.
@@redrune100 regulator, ghost, cypress Grove, the swollen goat, electric worry, earthworm, a shotgun named Marcus, just to name a few. Could go on all day though.
Neil Fallon is a master of writing well thought out nonsense, and he delivers it with such conviction! My favorite band. Nobody rocks like the mighty Clutch! Listen to more!
Neil Fallon had an interview where he said for this song he was reading and leaned on Phillip K Dicks book Valis...".Pink rays from the ancient satellite" inspired the lyrics for Burning Beard. Being a fan of Clutch I gave Valis a try but it was a tough read for me. I intend to go back to it one day.
IMO Clutch is the best American Rock Band in history. 30+years, same 4 members, tour year-round, always evolving, control their music & art w/their own record label and merchandise, treat their crew like gold and respect their fans - oh and they don’t need stadiums 🔥 😈🤟🏼
THERE ARE NO BAD CLUTCH SONGS OR ALBUM just an FYI. pick any one that takes your fancy and the fans will love your choice.. FWIW the song is about how we have have turned corporate worship into the new religion.. hence the christian imagery.. but its actually not about anyone"religion" as such
could be how corrupt men turned the Christian message into a religion. That's how I take it anyway. Music can be anything you want it to be, at least some music can be lol
Thank you for doing a reaction to Clutch! They have a ton of great new stuff. I picked this song because you were reacting to rock songs at that time! They have fans ranging from 8 year old children to 70 year old adults! The live concerts are amazing!
This IS one of their more esoteric songs. It reads like an unhinged conspiracy rant. The songwriter is a fan of conspiracy theory radio as a source of material. Please don't be put off by this one. They have a 30 plus year catalog.
Neil writes intelligent nonsense, full of thematic elements including elements of history, mythology, philosophy, religion and pop culture...often all mixed together. Some of my favorite songwriting.
First heard this song years ago in MX Vs ATV Reflex, going back to the game years later i heard the song again and i was jamming but as soon as the vocals came in i was like "wait, thats fucking clutch"
Funnily, Neil Fallon sings his leads like he's preaching a sermon. He had an injury in his neck from headbanging when they were younger, so now instead of headbanging along, he sort of pulls the crowd's attention like he's telling everyone some of the most important information they'll hear. That all said, his lyrics are a mass of literary and philosophical references along with themes of old Americana and nods to politics. Normally their songs have a theme, idea, or message, but they're mainly having fun making catchy lyrical puzzles for people who want to know more, while melting the faces of people at the show for the atmosphere and good times.
Solid rock. Its been a while since a bands lyrics really confused me. And trust me i have been in plenty of pentecostal movements. Never seen anyone levitate. Wont take a courtesy fall either. If something happens to me it better be by only one diety not anyone else. Lol.
I have to admit when I first heard this (well over a decade ago) i looked a lot of the meanings up. But still, her attempt to decipher it and getting a lot wrong is hard to watch.
I’m a simple man, I see Clutch, I click like.
Amen
Best band in the history of music.
Neil Fallon is the god of song lyrics. Every Clutch song is a story and you have to discover the meaning yourself.
I love the look on her face and the fact that she remained completely silent throughout the entire song...mission accomplished if ya ask me
Some people just won't ever get it... I bet she knows every Paula Abdul song...
Occams Razor... the simplest answer is usually the correct one.

@LostHate same here my clutch friend! Wishbone and Big News I hooked me.
I love them all!
I love the completely baffled look on your face at this! Same as me... But what a great song! Brilliant!
One of the most underrated bands ever! They are incredible! They are from my home state.
ALL HAIL THEE ALMIGHTY CLUTCH
Lobersterbacks were what British soldiers were called back during the Revolutionary War.
I was today years old when I learned this.... TYVM! :D
Educational is the word. Clutch rules. Maryland stand up... Oh, I'm Canadian.
I love Clutch, no one like them out there, even got them tattooed on my arm. Sublime band.
She sits there ... stunned!!

never try to understand Neil's lyrics, you will hurt yourself. Thanks for reacting to the best straight up rock band ever
I booked Clutch in Alberta Canada once wow what Incredible great dudes and music is unmatched. Check out all there art.
I've seen HEAVY metal and famous heavy bands. I'm 47. CLUTCH outdid them ALL
Book 'em again. I need more clutch!
The ancient satellite is PKD mythology; essentially a messenger from god. The pink ray was the transmission of knowledge.
THERE ARE NO BAD CLUTCH SONGS OR ALBUM

Neil… you’re scaring the straights.
Nice comment bra

The Clutch!

Clutch is deep. Clutch is everything that makes us 50 years Olds feel good
Bar none, the hardest, longest working band that does it theyr own way. From top to bottom, an un corrupted masterpiece of extremely good musicians
Clutch can be hard to get a handle on. Intellectual lyrics in some down-and-dirty rock and roll.
like robot's walkin
You picked a tricky one to take in there
Fricking relentless

Intelligent nonsense is a really clever description for it lol
The song is done in 3/4 time signature 😭 my hand aches thinking about playing in that timing
Their stoner rock mainly
im late but ....here
First heard this song years ago in MX Vs ATV Reflex, going back to the game years later i heard the song again and i was jamming but as soon as the vocals came in i was like "wait, thats fucking clutch"
Clutch sang about the Brave New World, and it blew her mind. The concepts presented far exceeded the host's mind.
powerhouse band.................... well worth the trip down the rabbit hole
The ancient satellite could refer to the black knight satellite from ufo lore.
I never see people suggest The Yeti. Has been my favorite song for at least 14 years. I was shocked it didn't have more views, im like half of them 😂
THE CLUTCH
THE Clutch 😂
That's right - THE Clutch not The Clutch 😆

Funny how a person with an accoustic guitar in the background reacts like they just tasted a turtle turd when they hear rock 'n' roll.
The satellite is thr dark knight satellite supposedly been flying over for 24000 years
Its blues metal, everything is metaphor.
lobster backs refer to colonial british troops
Dang, I thought someone actually set their beard on fire... Not gonna lie, I think I could take it.
So happy you're checking out this band, but they go by just CLUTCH not THE CLUTCH 😅
Using the Occam's Razor to shave your burning beard? Yeah...some references might be too hard for someone without a long beard.
Ancient alien. Demon manifestation? Biblical references? Just my take.
"Pink rays from the ancient satellite"
UV radiation from the sun (I think)
This band writes their asses off. Amazing. You better be well read tackling Neil's lyrics.
Just Clutch...
Solid rock. Its been a while since a bands lyrics really confused me. And trust me i have been in plenty of pentecostal movements. Never seen anyone levitate. Wont take a courtesy fall either. If something happens to me it better be by only one diety not anyone else. Lol.
"the clutch"
It's just clutch... not the clutch
It's just clutch no the
Hillbilly Funk Rock.
I appreciate you even trying. Your viewers were not kind with this one.
Clutch… not the clutch
I have to admit when I first heard this (well over a decade ago) i looked a lot of the meanings up. But still, her attempt to decipher it and getting a lot wrong is hard to watch.
