Clutch is such a great band that it seems that nobody knows about. I love these guys. Nothing fancy just pure good straight up rock and roll. They need to get more love and attention. To all the Clutch fans out there keep rocking and exposure more people to them! ❤
My first band's first show, we opened for Clutch at the White Rabbit in San Antonio. I was also at this show at the 9:30 club in DC. I also went to 9:30 club to see them for a New Years Eve show some years ago. They played this song during the ball drop. It was epic.
awesome! that would have been badass! i got to see one of their cbus, ohio new years shows in 17-18 i think. they went from this dropped the ball then straight into yeti.
That's Clutch doing go-go, a style of music that originated in Washington DC. Chuck Brown, look him up. Clutch is based in Maryland so these guys grew up hearing this music, as did I. 👍
Clutch has a 30ish years worth of music to explore. This song is from a little later in their career. A trip through their catalog will show the evolution of their sound.
The lyrics are about all the warmongering in D.C. sung from that point of view but it's sarcasm. Cowbell is what you were thinking of :D Glad you enjoyed it! It was difficult figuring out which to suggest first, they have a broad range of styles.

It always seems like he's delivering an anger sermon to a guilty congregation, lmao I love it
Neil Fallon has been described as "a highly caffeinated drunken Baptist preacher delivering a sermon to his congregation" at Clutch shows.
What a great analogy! Especially obvious on "Burning Beard," lol

One of my favorite shows. I , for some reason, still have the ticket in my wallet. Clutch is under rated
