Ell, love you but rule #1 of safe walking/running outside is DON'T WEAR TWO HEADPHONES!! you are unable to hear if someone is coming up behind you or vehicles or basically danger of any kind. Please don't wear them or if you do only wear one and at low volume. As sad as it is, it's the world we live in these days xx

I walk my dog every morning in my pajamas. I'm forced into the morning kinetics but that's exactly what I need because I wouldn't do it for myself. The pajamas are a choice; as a night owl it's my only act of revolt against what feels like going against nature. Only once in a very blue moon do I actually return to my bed as I have already started making plans. This is what I mean when I tell people that my dog saves my life, every day.

I want to just commend you for the way you put this together. I've seen so many month fitness challenge videos and they're all about getting in great shape and making your body different, but you came at it from such a healthy angle that any normal person can do, and that was simply to feel better and be better. I love it. It's exactly what a lot of people need to hear.

Nevertheless I still feel like having not much energy, so I want to start working out, too, now that I'm not depressive anymore and feel like I can do it. But I guess, in general, eating no sugar is even more important. But let's see how my life will change with daily workouts, haha...

As someone who works out consistently almost every day and truly does it because I enjoy it, it always makes me so happy to see people (re-)starting to workout and notice how good it makes them feel.
This video also motivated me to rethink my own workout routine as while I enjoy it and do it consistently, lately I haven't felt I got the mental health benefits from it the way I intend to, which was also why I started. Maybe this is s sign to switch things up!

Loved this. My doctor has told me to aim for 1 hour of excercise (any kind) a day. I can do it for a week and then it all falls apart. I tried telling friends but they’re just like “you’re thin, it’s fine” but I’m just so unfit and I’m glad you talked about that. Going hiking tomorrow and I’m going to use it as the first of something everyday. Thanks for the motivation ❤ P.S thank you for focusing on the way you feel in general life more than aesthetics. @@AGamerDraws I started the routine set up by Hybrid Calisthenics (there is a channel on yt and he has a website too), for me it's awesome: it's free, no need for email (it's all written on the website), there is a schedule already written down, it says on his website that it works whole body, and there are detailed explanations for all exercises and it's all depending on the strength level. Most don't require any gear, only pullups need something. First time I'm actually working out. I made a spreadsheet of my progress (since there are levels etc. and you start at 0) and habit tracker and for now it works. Maybe it would work for you too. I know it's probably ideal to aim at doing 1 hour of exercise a day, but I think this is what held me back for the longest time from going back to exercising. Until I visited my sister during the holidays and realized that not doing any exercise was being more harmful to me than doing at least a little, even if less than I actually wanted.
Since I came back I've been aiming to at least once a week go on a walk for at least 15 minutes and even though at first I was only able to do it once or twice a week, this past week I actually went out at least 5 out of the 7 days of the week and I've been steadily raising the amount of time I'm walking from 15 minutes to 30 minutes. On the weekends, when I don't have to worry about work, I go out for +1h walks. I hope to eventually get to a place where I'm exercising 1 hour every day.
I'm just sharing this in hopes thatit gives you an idea about how to find what works for you and build up a healthy exercise routine from there. Good luck!

@@Noffilus Same here! I will say though, be cautious if you do Chloe Ting's workouts, they're no joke. I tried one and didn't even get through the whole video before feeling faint and throwing up. I personally think her workouts will benefit people more once they're already adjusted to doing highly exertive exercises frequently. If you're like me and have basically zero physical activity, perhaps start with lower impact exercises that way you're less likely to give up or feel defeated. I think I'm going to use Chloe's as a guide, but just modify the time and reps to suit me better so I can eventually work up to the whole thing. Good luck! We're in this together

I always had the thoughts in my mind of, “I have to do this for the rest of my life?” And honestly, it would demotivate me. But, once I finally got through the experimentation and started working out at a pace that I was comfortable with, I saw such an amazing shift in motivation, energy, and just happiness in general. I always recommend for anyone who wants to get more into fitness to absolutely start slow. And the way that you know that you’re doing it right is if you’re feeling good about it. Because that’s how you grow :D

I know you didn’t Ask me but I want to give you a golden advice here. I’ve been running every day for 672 days (almost 2 years) and the main thing that has helped me be able to get through it on the days I don’t have much motivation and/or time is that I set the minimum time for my run so ridiculously low that it would be stupid to not do it. My minimum for my daily run is 10 minutes. You ALWAYS have 10 minutes to spare so it’s honestly more difficult not to do it than to just get it done. Most runs are longer than 10 minutes, but that is my minimum and if 10 minutes is all I am able to do that day it’s ok. Some days I’ve started my run with the mentality that I’m just going to run for 10 minutes but it ends up being 30-60 minutes just because it felt great once I started.
So the takeaway of all this is: set your minimum so low that it would be just stupid to miss it.
Once you get more used to working out daily you’ll most likely automatically make the workouts longer just because you enjoy it a lot more and you actually crave it 😊 it might sound stupid to have a «work out for at least 10 minutes daily» but that’s a lot better than saying «work out for 1 hour every day» because it’s easier to skip a 60 min workout than a 10 min workout because you don’t have time etc. Make it easy for yourself to get into the routine 😊 A little goes a long way!

I believe in us though, and even if we can't get to a place that we feel good physically, I hope you still feel good mentally and love yourself as you are regardless 💜

I haven’t been moving in three years essentially and my mental health is going up and down, but mostly down in the last few months. COMMENTING FOR THE ALGORITHM
Other comments: I have also recently found that I feel much better after just squeezing in a quick 20min jog. The "happy drugs" that your brain gives you after the work out makes it all so much fun (even if you don't ALWAYS feel like you just conquered the world after).
I really like how you included the mental journey because I feel that can be much more motivating for some than what the physical results are.

I have been struggling with excercise for the last two month. I had the idea of going to the gym everyday, or at least three or four times a week.... Best I did was twice, some weeks even one day and that's it.
For some reason I had made my mind that home workouts would not be effective, even if I have enjoyed them in the past. But after your video I feel so so so so motivated to keep trying ,and to incorporate home workouts in the days I can't or didn't manage to go to the gym.

Keep doing it 👍👏👏👏 I’ve been doing home workouts for almost a year, with some pauses here and there, like 1/2 days pause because me and my bf had somewhere else to be, or I simply didn’t had the time or energy (or both)that day, period pauses (1-3 days), short vacations on the mountain side, but the workouts were compensated with hiking, a lot of walking, summer vacation in Greece etc. But I constantly did workouts, or movement. I admit the whole month of January this was awful for because… I felt tired, I f-ed up my sleeping schedule and eating habits because of xmas and New Year… but last i finally managed to get back on track.
The progress might seems long but it’s worth it, I definitely see some progress on my body.
So Ellebat keeeeep doing 🤘🤘🤘it, even it’s going out for a walk, it still helps. Don’t think about on the long journey just enjoy the moments. 👏👏👏

I go for my morning walk with my dogs in my pjs! My little dude (German Shepard with a hormone issue that made him about 3 inches taller than the average German Shepard and who weighs more than I do) is getting too old to go for walks everyday. So it’s been hard to go when I know he loves them but I can’t take him with me.
My other dog is only a year younger, but despite her entirely white face she’s fine running around. I keep trying to tell my self to get used to walking without them and appreciating them while they are here, because one day they won’t be and I don’t want to entirely lose something I like.
