POUNDING PANFISH on shallow weed lines, Ice Fishing (Tips & Tactics)

Explored a lake one morning, just wanted to see if I could find some quality fish and if I caught some decent ones, was planning to keep few for eating. It turned out to be a better trip than I anticipated, caught a good mix of bluegills and crappies along weed line or weed edge structures. If you got too deep, there seemed to be only perch, if you got too shallow, seemed to not find the quality fish, so you had to get into that 8 to 10 foot range it seemed like, that was the best depth for me on this particular lake. Some holes were hotter than others, I drilled holes about 10 steps apart, some you would find no fish and some would have a good amount and you could sit at it for a good period of time.
