Good evening. Thank you TKGC for filming and sharing this stunning and interesting video, showing this Special Regiment under inspection before Changing Guard. Who couldn't be proud of them, of all the Guards, for their service? A good job TKGC you can film it for us, thank you!!
Mine too, Claire!!! So proud of him, and the rest of the Signallers also. They've had a fair amount of criticism regarding their drill, but they've worked hard and it looked pretty sharp to my (untrained) eye'.
In an US Army Formation: We Order Arms from Right Shoulder Arms before any Close Order Drill commands are given such as Right-Left Face. Then the command to Right Shoulder Arms is given. Then we March. I trained in basic with the old M1 rifle. I always admire how the British Army conducts their Manual of Arms.

They are fantastic. There marching is phenomenal and if I had a son there I would be incredibly proud of him. They really are magnificent. The best of the British army for marching. Wonderful and incredibly brave young men. Congratulations to their parents.
They would have trained full time for this, for at least a couple of months. It’s quite a rare occurrence for the Corps to do this so it gets taken very seriously.
Well done the Royal Corps of Signals absolutely first class. The young Lieutenant is immaculate and her salute and military bearing is perfection I congratulate you Ma’am. Ex Infantry RSM.
It was great watching this video on Signals regiment . He would have loved it ! But my beloved Daddy is in his heavenly abode ( may his soul rest in peace. Aameen)
@@charlottecunningham2141 Ciao Charlotte, good evening! I saw Him☘️ in state dress with red cloak (as David says, for the Duchess Sophie's birthday). Who are the Signallers? Aren't they Guards? As i read in comments in many videos, there's always someone complaining to the Guards: about trousers short (it's the tailor's fault!), about their height, about facial hair... instead of praising them, i don't know why!
@@AlbaAlba-fg2iogood Wednesday morning, friend. From what I gather, they are involved in communications for the British army in different capacities. I think they are guards too. I think that a lot of the complainers are former military members who can’t accept that change is inevitable as far as women serving, short/wee/petite people serving and facial hair. Or it’s a bunch of grumpy Gus’s and Gertrude’s.
Whew I am deeply impressed. Goodness me here is a woman. The marching is so spectacular and this I say this with all respect even if I had a son there it is as beautifully coordinated as the German marching soldiers of WW2. Please don’t be offended. The German army had very impressive marching soldiers. This regiment is absolutely remarkable. Again I congratulate the parents of soldiers in this particular regiment.
@@michaelfoster5577Some of the tourists must get confused, they go to Buckingham Palace expecting to see the guards wearing bearskins and red tunics and they see guards in totally different uniforms.
It's a pity that the translator is not switched on in this video because I'm watching from the capital Germany but still a good video especially the discipline of the troops
'twas not how I was taught in the Army of Oz to conduct an inspection! The officer is not supposed to handle the soldier but the accompanying Platoon Sgt may do a minimal adjustment after asking the soldier concerned - otherwise after the inspection when troops are at ease and as privately as possible. Other points can be brought out but too long to explain here.
A couple of small observations, the majority the guards trousers are too short, you not be able to see the top of the boots or socks while marching, should but at least they appear to be wearing braces, they just need to be let down a couple of lace holes, the 2nd observation is the Colour Sgt, although I’m sure he’ll be a Staff Sgt in the corps, it’s that circular motion he makes while swinging his right arm, it looks awful, however you do see a small number of individuals in the guards regiments carrying out the same habit, just noticed he didn’t do it while marching with the guard, good in him. Fair play they look pretty switched on.
The Royal Signals do not have colour sergeants as they do not have colours. Women officers and soldiers wear soft top caps, unlike the Household Division. Also note that the officers wear overall trousers, with a strap under the instep, George boots and spurs. Foot guard officers do not wear spurs, unless they are mounted.
Start off a shambles, out of step, the female officer seems to be in a world of her own, , and the NCO at the rear of the leading squad looks as though he’s had an accident in his trousers! Oh dear not a good start
22 Signal Regiment sits within 1 Signal Brigade and delivers Information Communication Services (ICS) at various readiness states, to support NATO’s Allied Rapid Reaction Corps (ARRC), and other deployed ARRC Group force elements. The Regiment provides ARRC’s Main, Rear, Forward, and Tactical Command Posts (CP), in addition to highly deployable Corps Reconnaissance Team (CRT) capabilities.
That SSgt fancies himself as a Guardsman lol. Looks ridiculous. Nice jump by the CSM in the halt. Sorry, but nobody does drill like the Guards. Everyone else looks chippy as heck.
I have a daughter who's a sergeant in the Royal Australian Air Force. I've proudly watched her march out in command of a (all female) catafalque party on Anzac Day at a sporting event in front of thousands of spectators and many more watching it live on television. So I'm a bit uncertain as to why this display bothers me a bit. Maybe I still struggle with the concept of women carrying swords, which historically was never really a thing or just being in command of male combatants. I didn't like that old Chealsea Pensioner yelling out like that. Attention seeking, I think. Couldn't get over the size of that little guy on the right.
No offense but times change. Plenty of women who are or required to carry swords if they are in the military. We’re not all helpless. And some people don’t like seeing short/wee/petite soldiers but as long as they meet the requirements, why not? Some military regiments are struggling to get soldiers.
"Living on a Prayer" as a first piece from the Band? is that a good omen? Followed up by a piece from "Tommy" : That Deaf Dumb and Blind Kid...? Come on Band Master surely you have a more auspicious repetiore than that.
Incorrect. It's the first time the 22 Signal Regiment have been tasked to perform ceremonial public duties in London and the first time in nearly 30 years that a Royal Signals Squadron has taken a leading role in fulfilling the public duties of royal commitment.
I would be wary of making that remark if you should be having a beer in their local saloon bar with a couple of Royal Signals present this evening. Cheers.

They are impressive and obviously work very hard. People who complain do not know what they’re talking about.
It's a proud moment for a parent. Sort of puts a lump in your throat.

The amount if discipline these soldiers put in is clear to see. Nothing but respect for them.
The problem with DEI, is that now when you see a woman in these things, it begs the hard question: Did she earn it?

Viewing from Torquay in Queensland Australia and the current temperature is 29C on Wednesday 22 Jan @ 05:00am - Good stuff and thank you.
It's unique that soldiers who are outside of the Guards Division doing ceremonial duties.
Sure is 🫡
Hardly unique! Ceremonial duties have been performed now by most regiments and Corps, and also by the Royal Navy and RAF too.

Always easy to spot the one out of step.
Seems like half are used to the beat on the heel while the rest are beat on sole
This is when you're running out of soldiers...The army is not fit for purpose it hadn't got the personnel anymore.
Some pretty ropey drill coming out of the gates
It’s not ropey, it’s the first time they’ve done this route.
@@TheKingsGuardsChannelthey should not be leaving Chelsea barracks if there drill is ropey easy as ! !

Trying too hard.

What is the one with note pad doing, is he getting names of those who have something off on their uniform?

Drill plays a very small in their day so a lot of effort has been put in. Credit to them

Signals always try too hard and fail to hit the mark. Same with their annual 'pretent to be infantry' battle camps.
Is this the new special forces signals regiment
22 Signal Regiment: Yes it’s the first time they’re guarding the main palaces, Buckingham Palace, St James’s Palace, Windsor Castle etc.
No, nothing special about it whatsoever. The Signals Special Forces Sqn is based in Hereford and doesn't do ceremonial duties.
Alas there's no Gurkha Singnallers' contingent in their Greycoats ?.....
Texas
Half the british army is there

That statement is factually incorrect, 2007 7th Signal Regiment carried out Public Duties. QGS have also fulfilled the role more recently.
