I love these Redlines I drive an 06 Comp everyday. They are not the fastest cars but so fun
I know this comment is super late but I own a 05’ redline as well. That broken piece on the outside left between the front and rear door is sold on Amazon for super cheap. I had to replace mine as well and it looks perfect.
That's awesome. I love the 2006 Saturns, even if they're just Chevy Cobalts. I think they look cooler than the chevys.
I owned an 06 comp redline. And it was extremely responsive instant boost. Very fun cars . Very funny when you blow the doors off other sports car who don’t expect a Saturn to have a chance .

I had an sc2…I wanted a redline so bad…I now have 10th gen SI…..still want a redline, they look so good! And they are so rare now.
Always had a soft spot for the Ion Redline. Back-in-the-day, my buddy bought a new '05 Ion Redline and I had an '04 SRT-4. Stock-vs-stock... my SRT-4 was faster (205hp vs 230hp)... but I did like his Recaro seats better than my huggy, viper-style seats. I'm interested to see where you can take this platform. Good luck!
I had a 06 comp package with gm stage 2 back in the day. Made 223hp. Sold it soon after.
Before attempting to launch the car at all do yourself the favor and get the OTTP control arm Bushings that press into the aluminum arms you can find on HHRs and later year Cobalts. Also shifter bracket and lots of the shifter mods from ZZP help as well
Also a set of replacement NAPA brand CV axles which have a thicker main shaft along with higher quality CV cups

@YostBuilt perfect 👌. Even though you're in PA IATs will become the issue when it starts warming up during the summer, if you plan on keeping the intake manifold for any period of time once it goes turbo, you can mount a 2.5gal plastic cell in front of the passenger tire as a sneaky ice tank
