    When you have wavy/curly hair, you can't brush or comb it when dry or it will go: *poof* so detangling when wet, often when the conditioner is in the hair is a necessity. I am wavy/curly and use heavy stylers after washing, like leave-ins, curl creams and gel and serum.

    • @Sebastian-xy3xk
      @Sebastian-xy3xk 5 років тому +4

      It's true, you get more breakage and frizz usually when trying to comb it dry. I can say this from personal experience 🙈
      I think that it's better to limit the amount of stylers you use though to avoid irritation. The mist mentioned in this video seems handy as a leave in. Cleure also has a fragrance free gel too 😉

      I've been struggling with this because I have struggled with tinea versicolor in the past, so I don't know if its okay not to brush my hair. I don't want to leave the oils on the scalp.

      @@luckyDancer100 Oh I do brush my hair, but I only do it once a week, pre-wash, and post-wash, damp, when my hair comes out the towel and pre-styling products. You have to do what's best for you, of course, always! :D

    I worked at Wendy’s when I was 16. My favorite concoction to make was a “frofee”.. which was half frostee, half coffee lol. At the end of the night, all the cooks in the back would bring out their own seasonings and create their own fajitas with the frozen chicken. Wendy’s was definitely an experience lol

    I ordered Function of Beauty Shampoo and Conditioner for to address frizz, scalp, and dry hair, fragrance and dye free. Menthol was in the formulation which burned, even causing redness on my ears. I gave it to my daughter who got scabs on her scalp. They readily replaced my products with the hair replenishing formula. It's OK but I will look for another fragrance free brand when I have finished these.

    Slightly off topic but I love how in Japan they diffuse mint into the air to reinvigorate everyone after lunch. In Las Vegas it's used to help with smoke odor, but yes, being in a pleasant smelling environment reduces perceived time, especially wait times. My favorite part is the olfactory experience which is why you instantly feel as though you're at Wynn. They say you can remember a scent 100x longer than a photograph. 😊

There aren't any styling products for short hair, so I am making do with the Free & Clear hair gel. No Nothing has just enough to get by with all that is really necessary. Good luck!

    • @veggie-vamp8617
      @veggie-vamp8617 5 років тому +1

      @@AndreaHa I actually really like it. You can't use too much or else it can get kind of greasy/tacky, but I used a good amount (maybe a quarter size) in my mother's hair (she has the most hair I've ever seen which is shoulder length) when it was still damp and gave her a full blowout with a round brush and it held the curl, while smoothing out frizz. It almost felt like she had nothing in her hair. I was actually amazed. Ive been experimenting to see if I can truly use it on everyone. ahahah
      For me, I have a really tall, textured pompadour so I use the gel in damp hair and spray a little bit of the soft spray (while still wet). I then blow-dry it and noticed it adds the perfect gritty feel to get that textured, high volume style!

    I just started using Nioxin shampoo and really liking it. I also for past 6 months started using Madison Reed hair color and finally found that this one has zero reaction with my skin and scalp. Its really good. Great for allergies to PPD as its PPD free and indeed does not irritate my scalp at all which is great. They have a conditioner that is awesome. Nexxus has a conditioner that is meant to be rinsed out called Humectress but for years have always used a small amount on my ponytail section on dry hair. Seems to hydrate well. I also mix plain water in a bottle with small amount of conditioner to revive 2nd day hair on the lower half. Works well.

    I would love a video about iherb clarifying shampoos for product build up. I have textured hair, but I've read most shampoos are for removing oil. I need something that will remove dead skin cells and dust particles. Conditioning shampoos leave my hair with a film, like there is still dirt and oil on it. I don't have dandruff or eczema. Can you please tell us more on why we should avoid it, where to find it, and whether it’s less of an issue in rinse off products please? Also a tutorial on how to pronounce it please! 😂 Thank you for all you do for us! ❤️

    Well I'm telling you the weather here in Seattle is relentlessly rainy, dark, foggy and I don't know about others but it's making me sick this year. I don't want to get out of bed and I have a constant sinus headache and puffy, watery, itchy eyes and itchy skin. And also I'm very moody, but mostly miserable. I have to get out of here, I'm desperate really. Enjoying being here with you and drinking coffee in my Christmas mug. Btw my mom loves the wendy's chili.

    By the way dr. Dre, hopefully you'll be able to do a video on this topic if you haven't already. A few months back I was Outdoors talking to the lawn guy and I Faithfully put on my sunscreen before going out, however mosquitoes ate me up! I had previously gone to the drugstore to look for something to protect against mosquitoes but the ingredients of things like Deet seemed a little concerning so I ended up getting this recipe from Whole Foods and made a mosquito repellent using lavender oil which I know is not great. It didn't prevent mosquitoes from biting me, but it did soothe the itch after the bite. I don't want to end up with West Nile virus or anything like that. There was a time when people believed that Skin So Soft from Avon would Stave off mosquitoes. Seem to work for my cousin. Anyway I would be interested in knowing what you think about ingredients of insect repellents and if we have to use insect repellent should it be placed on the skin before or after sunscreen or are there any body sunscreens that include such repellants? I'm not certain if insect repellent is used on the face. Thank you!

    HS/College jobs - Marshall’s, Mervyn’s and a kids clothing store called Chocolate Soup, in the old Tiffany Plaza by Tamarac Square (it was close to DU). Denver has been so warm this January with barely any snow, but we’re finally getting a potentially 3-10” snowstorm this Monday night with near 70 degrees for Super Bowl Sunday tomorrow. Oh, the dichotomy of CO weather! Needless to say that we’ll be firing up the grill before we go back to the cold.

    Hello Dr. Dray, can you please make a dedicated video about Glycerine for hair (as a product, not an ingredient). Also, i was wondering if it can be used in place of a cleansing oil as part of the double cleansing method. I'm using the vegetable glycerine from NOW solutions on my curly hair and was wondering if it'll work as a cleansing oil. I'd like to ask if you'd discuss muscle rub products. Are they safe to use and are there ones better than others? There's some brands with capsacian but I'm skeptical about skin irritation. Side note: I've recently started using the DRMTLGY sunscreen and love it! Thank you for the recommendation ❤️ I'm going to try their tinted version when mine runs out. Yes I like to see your opinions on products other than skincare, especially ones for our health.
