“Ozark” has some pretty complex characters and very intense. I can only watch one episode at a time but it’s amazing. Just finished “The Stranger”, which hooks you right away and is only 8 or 9 episodes. Have a great day Dr. Dray. ❤️

I binged on that too! Wanting to check out the book the series is inspired by or based on. I find the Hasidic way of life very interesting especially from the woman’s viewpoint. Years ago I watched a very good documentary or movie (can’t remember which) about a woman who had several children but left her husband and the story delve into multiple aspects of the Hasidic community including intimate matters, education and the repercussions of the woman leaving her husband.

I like "Atypical" on Netflix- about a teenager with Autism and the drama of family life. It's funny and has complex relationships.

I've been extra good about reapplying spf during this. No one's seeing me except UVA rays, so might as well. Great opportunity to use up the spfs that have the worst cast, too.

According to my dermatologist, you don't need sunscreen indoors unless you're sitting near a window where the sun is coming in directly on you. He also suggest 15 mins in the sun without it to get vitamin D.

Yes, in Europe we don't use as many pillows as you people in the States. Usually, we have the ones for sleep only or just an extra pair for decor. But I like them the US way, especially when the bed is made. There is always a problem where to put them when you unmake the bed for sleep 😄
I like beds that have hidden drawers underneath to put the decor pillows. Or a trunk/bench seat at the end of the bed.

I just have one pillow on my bed, the one I sleep on. My parents have one pillow each to sleep on; that's it. We are just very functional. ;)

Had a great Easter with my college daughter at home for the rest of the school year. FaceTime with my son in Seattle. Tried Dr. Michael Greger’s stuffed portobello mushrooms which was delicious especially with mashed potatoes. Happy Easter. Praying for your mom. 🙏

I’m not sure if you’ve already watched it before but Outlander is amazing! I believe there are 3 or 4 seasons on Netflix, and the 5th season is currently ongoing on Starz. I’m a huge fan of the book series as well - there’s about 10 books written by Diana Gabaldon!

As a former stomachache/side sleeper I used a flat-ish feather pillow....but in my 50’’s ’developed a very sore neck & stopped a pillow all together... now one month into my sleep & glow purchase and back sleep/side sleep retraining ... my neck pan is much reduced!!
If you can get the PBS Brit Box channel, there are loads of wonderful British shows. We bought if through our Prime station for $6 a month years ago. We pretty much watch it daily. We mostly love the murder mysteries like Vera, Endeavour and Foyle’s War. We find the British shows to be so much more realistic and naturally charming and interesting. I think you would love this channel. I hope you are having a nice Easter. I am sure that you are missing your Mother. We love you both.☔️💐
I agree with Cheryl. I mostly watch PBS BritBox and AcornTV. Try Broadchurch on Netflix.

As a Brit I can recommend the excellent Unforgotten. 3 series (seasons) to date and hoping for a fourth. Also The Detectorists which was actually filmed in my small hometown and Dinnerladies which are both gentle comedies. Poirot and Miss Marple are also great. Happy Easter and happy viewing 🐣

Happy Easter Dr. Dray. I think we are all trying to make the best of this day. I watched Catholic Easter Mass on tv at 10:00 am, baked some raspberry bars, vacuumed and then went outside with the dog. Been doing a spring cleanup outdoors. The raking, weeding, and picking up branches has been a great stress reliever. Miss my daughter and my grandsons and my husband who is in a longterm care facility. Hoping and praying for better days ahead. Have a great evening and thank you for sharing your time with us.

I’m a faithful 5% Rogaine user x 5 years now ... the only recommendation my doc gave me for thinning hair... thanks Dr Dray for the explanation of how one could get miss interpret their hair loss when stopping. Got it!! the disease process doesn’t cease.

This is why I didn’t start Rogaine...😩. I went through a horrible fallout phase (Telogen effluvium) and my dermatologist said I could use it, but I don’t want to be dependent on it. I’m giving myself a good year (perhaps longer) to see if things correct on their own.
Same thing happened to me in 2018, but I still don't know what caused it. I waited a year and saw no regrowth so I started the rogaine and had some progress. However now I came off of birth control and I'm loosing everything that regrew
Vindi I just got off birth control too (best decision ever) but I noticed that I was losing hair on BC, not much has changed after getting off but it’s just maintained itself
JanelleAle Have your doctors given any insight to why? Every doctor I've seen in the last 2 years basically told me there's nothing I can do and just get over it 🙄

One of my favorite series of books “Outlander” was turned into a series on Starz but they have the first 3 Seasons available on Netflix and it’s so good. I bet your mom would enjoy it too. Don’t read the synopsis tho because the premise sounds silly just start watching episode 1 cold turkey and I guarantee you’ll fall in love! Thanks again for your vlogs.

„After life“ on Netflix is a great show!
I’m a stomach sleeper and use a medium firm pillow but just the edge of it so that my head is only slightly turned to the side. I tend to use it under my head and upper body.

What if you correct and treat the issue that caused hairloss (taking DHEA, pregnancy, pcos, menopause, anemia etc)? Would stopping minoxidil still cause hairloss if the root (lol) cause is corrected?

Sunscreen is skincare. I don't forget my moisturizer so I can't forget my sunscreen. :) We've been DVR'ing old movies on TCM channel. Specifically musicals as they are the most uplifting at the moment. Yesterday we took advantage of the nice weather we had early in the day by cleaning out the garage and breezeway. I also planted some Romaine and mesculin salad greens in my container garden outside. This morning I have a loaf of rye bread rising in the kitchen. Can hardly wait til it's done! I think it would be interesting if you talked about trans women and hair loss. You know, with hormone replacement therapy, how does this affect a trans woman who experiences hair loss (pattern alopecia) before and after she starts taking hormones? and all of that!
I was thinking along these lines, too! And the effect of taking testerone/estrogen as they transition.
It can slow it down but it will not reverse anything that has already been lost.
On Netflix Ozark is great. Complex characters and a lot of drama. Pretty dark though. The Julia Roberts show was Homecoming.

The series , "Six Feet Under " The characters are very complex. The situation does take place at a funeral home which may seem odd . It is all about characters . Their lives and what happens to them . What they're trying to get out of life and what they end up getting out of life. It is interesting , sad and funny at times . Deals with human emotion on the most fundamental level . It won't lift your spirits but it will have you asking questions you never thought of . At times it will make you cry . If your feeling down probably should wait to watch .

Yes! Homecoming with Julia Roberts was amazing! One short series you may want to check out on Amazon prime is called Forever. It’s about a couple and what it really means to be together forever. It’s funny, it’s really deep, prophetic it’s all of the things and it’s definitely been bingeable one day.
