- This is the easiest and safest way to remove a security tag from any clothing without causing any damage. Using a house hold knife we are able to safely remove the security tag with minimal effort in seconds. After purchasing a hoodie for my daughter i realized the tag was left on the item of clothing and i really didnt want to drive back to the store so i decided to figure out a way to safely remove the security merchandise tag without tools, magnets, fire, lighter and have it simple enough for the every day person who is in the same situation to remove. I looked up about using a magnet. That's the best way. I used one of my stronger fridge magnets and the pin just popped out.

This was the easiest and best method I found! Thank you! I paid for the shirt, but it was ordered online and I didn’t want to have to drive out to a mall to get the tag removed (defeats the purpose of shopping online!) Bonus: I got to feel just a little naughty destroying this damn tag.

A cashier left a tag on my shirt and like everyone else I didn't want to go back. He mentioned using a magnet. I used one I keep on the fridge to hang calenders. The pin on the tag literally popped out. Instead of this way a magnet is the way to go:)

I'm 14 and it took an hour to the store and back for my older brother to drive me, I bought a few shirts and boxers myself and one of the pairs of boxers had one of these. You are a life saver as my brother rarely does anything for me and my parents are too busy to drive me.

This was a life saver. My son bought a pair of jeans in FL and when we returned home to CO, he discovered the tag still on. This method worked perfectly and my son is happy once again 😄

Rang the nearest branch and they told me to go there to get it’s removed but it’s about 100 miles away from my home . Their staff told me not to post it because it might set of security alarm at post office etc. My local branch has closed down due to COVID. I just wanted to say thank you so much for this method! I am a leg amputee and my mom recently purchased a $60 shirt for me and the cashier left that dang tag on.
I used your method using a utility razor blade knife and I had the tag off within 5 minutes. No damage to my nice shirt from mom! God Bless you my friend🙏

This is the best way to remove these things. Bought a Christmas present for the wife. Didn't notice the tag was left on until wrapping it and by then it was too late to go back to the shop. Used a knife to cut the top off and it was more or less exactly the same inside. Great video. Thanks, saved the day.

I had this shirt in my closet for at least a year with the tags on it. I pull it out and couldn’t believe that security tag was still there. You're a legend man! I broke the plastic with bare strength and was stuck with two metal pieces and a needle. Your explanation of the ball bearing concept helped me remove the pin easily! Thank you. And yes ofcourse this product was purchased and I have the bill. The alarm just didn't go off.

It's even easier and takes about 3 seconds if you use a magnet to attract that 1st little cup that holds the ball bearings against the notch on the pin.

Thanks for this. Once you showed me what was inside, I could do the job even faster, literally about 30 seconds, using a pair of cable cutting pliers I had (I know, average person probably doesn't have these right outside in their garage). This type of cutter grabs onto round objects really easy, and it cut right trough in about 2 seconds. Then just grabbed the little metal cup inside with needle nose pliers, the ball bearings fell out in my garage, never to be seen again, and it all came apart! Thanks again, very helpful!!

Thanks so much for this great video . 4 years I’ve had a jacket which TKMAXX couldn’t take the security tag off when I brought it back to them as was accidentally left on. They couldn’t remove it because it came from a different store entirely. They did offer me money back but I kept the jacket, moved and today found your video. So anyone looking at this- don’t try to burn off your tag- it will not end well 😄This gentleman’s kitchen knife was exactly same as mine-phew and thanks again!

Bought a souvenir from Barcelona Airport, got back to Toronto realizing the security tag was on. tried this and it actually worked. Used the tip of the knife to pop out the metal cup and the balls were under it. The pin just came out. Took less than 5 mins. Thank you.
