Excellent question! There is no preservatives, so the only way is to freeze into little bundles, and boiled from frozen when ready to use.
Or, if not frozen after making it, and before cooking, it can wait for an hour or so, on a pasta rack, then the pasta will be less prone to stick together. It will dry out a little, but still be delicious.
When I make this for a crowed, I prep my ingredients, and wait for my guests, then let them make their own batch! It becomes part of the evening and always memorable!
