    i have the same 1999 toyota landcruiser, it still looks awesome paint wise and everything still works, 152,000 miles on it, love it and think it’s one of the best suv trucks ever built, still have too do all maintenance, but that’s how you get 400,000 miles out of it, thanks for the videos., just a note, every light inside and out in my truck is led, except the headlights/ driving lights/ instrument/ climate control, cluster’s, is fitted with phillips vision series led lights, for the blinkers too not hyper flash, you just need too replace the 9 pin flasher underneath the dashboard, it really lightings the load on the alternator, i don’t have any lightbars, but you should replace those off road lights with a led light bar of some sort, u have an awesome toyota, how can i get bluetooth from my radio?? that’s awesome!!

    Nitro doesn't make the uniball UCA (JTOUCA-TLC100-BJ), but Total Chaos (#99500) have them. Nitro replace with an almost similar to SPC (SPC-25455) with serviceable sealed 2007 Tundra type upper ball joint. (NPUCA-TLC100-BJ)

    • @chowcares
      @chowcares  5 років тому +1

      Kritz C yup this is an older one they don’t offer anymore. Probably due to the need to constantly clean and lube. I’ll probably upgrade to the spc eventually

    • @kritzc2809
      @kritzc2809 5 років тому +1

      Yes, @@chowcares i would probably do likewise. Anyway the Nitro UCA is over five years and fifty thousand miles, and only twice i'd lube.
      By the way, lubing the uniball with the hundy jack up; by letting the the UCA on full droop, show better results. At least it works for me that i didn't have to lube in the last two years.

    If you had to do your tires again, would you still do 35” or go down to 34”? Since you’re having a small rub at high speeds.

    • @chowcares
      @chowcares  4 роки тому

      David Vasquez is definitely do a 35. As a matter of fact, I’ve been looking into getting 35 MTs.
      The rubbing is minimal because I drive slow normally. Plus the 35s are so nice on the trails!

    It's not a Yakima roof rack. You have a stock roof rack with cross bars. It's a cargo basket. Rhino Rack/Frontrunner/Prinsu/Gobi/Eezi-Awn make actual roof racks.

    After installing the OME torsion bars, does the increased tension in the bars give you the additional lift and or do you have to adjust the bars to your liking? Thanks again!

    • @chowcares
      @chowcares  4 роки тому

      The additional tension adds lift. Basically, you don’t have to crank it as much to achieve the same amount of lift compared to the stock ones

    • @chowcares
      @chowcares  4 роки тому

      William Woody technically, you will be able to fit a full sized spare 315/75/16 in the stock location IF you remove the factory tow hitch. If not, the largest you can go is a 285 tire

    you must have been sweating being pulled over haha! how do you run fridge, lets say if camping during weekend. Does it not drain battery overnight since don't have a second one?

    • @chowcares
      @chowcares  5 років тому +2

      Yuuuup! Dang cops haha. Actually, I’ve taken the fridge on weekend trips and I always leave it on overnight. The fridge has a built in shut off when it senses the battery voltage drop below a set amount. There’s 3 setting you can choose from, currently I have it set to shut off at the lowest voltage setting and it has never hit the shut off or cause the car not to start in the morning. I assume during the night with no one opening the lid, the amount of power to keep cold is minimal. The best thing about the fridge is being able to have ice cream on the trails! 👌👌👌
