My 13 yr old was like "Nikki why you showing your code? Now I can put it in my app and see what's going on with your car!" 🤣 I told her I'm sure that was just a sample! My worst car issue was when she and her brother were toddlers. Long story short I was driving at night and hit the brakes to avoid a dog running across the road... my brake pedal broke off. MY BRAKE PEDAL BROKE... Miraculously, I was able to pull over and the truck did stop but... like what do you do with that???
Omg my worst car experience I was stuck in the mountains bc my mom lives up there I was on my way there and my transmission literally just STOPPED WORKING! I had NO SERVICE I had to wait for someone to push my car to the side and walk around for service to call my uncle and have him find me 😭 it was 106 degrees and I had no water I had to wait an hour for help
When I got my first car, I literally just ran it into the dirt. you know I’m a girl and we hate getting oil changes…. So like I literally never did. Until one day when I was driving my car decided it wanted to run hot 🥵 so I pulled over and put the hood up. My dumbass didn’t know you aren’t supposed to unscrew the metal thing and all this HOT ASS water came shooting out like a damn fire hose. Thank god it didn’t burn my face off but basically that car was toast. It got taken to the junk yard and placed on top of a school bus ☺️ lesson learned: don’t say fuck the oil change girlies!

I was taking my daughter to her doctor's appointment and when we came out of the doctors office and my car wouldn't start and we we're Stuck at the doctor's office and it was so embarrassing and after that my car never started up again and we couldn't find out what happened to it

Back in 2020, I had saved up $2,000 to go towards getting my first car ever. My Dad had a friend who was selling her car for that exact price. I was so nervous and excited. We made it to her house and my Dad was like check it out. I had no idea what to look for in a car and my Dad wasn't giving me much guidance. I just trusted that him. I felt that if he trusted her, all was well. I took the car for a quick spin around her neighbourhood (like under 15 mph) and it seemed to run well. This was EXTREMELY ignorant of me. We finished the transaction and I went home with my brand new (to me) car.
So, I buy all of this cute stuff for my car and am so happy to be able to come and go as I please, not having to rely on my Dad for transportation. So, I'm a bit of fast driver and I guess at the time heavy on the gas pedal. So into driving my car for a few days I notice that sometimes when going over 45 miles I'd have to press the break really hard before it would get going. My car would kind of stutter a little before eventually shooting forward at to the desired speed. I was new to driving so I wasn't hopping on any freeways. I was really just going to and from work (which was 10 minutes away) and places in my city (no long distances or super fast driving). One day, after leaving a local park (I went for a run on my healthy girl shit lol) I was driving down the highway back to my house. My car started to do it's little stutter thing again and I remember being like "Okay, baby you got this" and slamming as hard as I could on the gas. I had no idea this was wrong. I just thought it was a side affect of having an old car. My car stops and no matter how hard I press on the gas, it's not getting up. I pull over to the emergency lane terrified.
I have my car towed to my house. My car wouldn't start. I use a mechanic that my Dad trusted that cost $150 every time he came to "work" on the car. He would come and look around in my car and say it was one thing and then I would go buy the parts for it and my car STILL wouldn't work. This went on for months. He wouldn't respond to texts or calls for days and then he would come out and fiddle around costing me $150 plus the parts each time. My Dad was like just have faith, your car will work again.
One time, the mechanic DID get the car running again. My Dad test drove it and everything, giving me the green light. I was heading to work the next morning and when I stopped at a stop sign and went to drive again, my car wouldn't move. I had to turn it off and then turn it on to get it going. I called my Dad explaining that I didn't feel safe driving the car and explained to him what was going on. He told me to just drive slow and because it was on again, to basically keep going. So I did just that and while in a left turning lane, my car broke down. I was mortified. I couldn't get it to start to save my life. People were honking and yelling at me like I did that crap on purpose. I called my Dad to pick me up and the insurance company to tow it.
We called the mechanic again so he could figure out what went wrong and he finally "discovered" that I needed a completely new engine after replacing so many little things on my car. I couldn't afford a new engine especially not for such an old car.
I only drove that car for 2 weeks before it broke down on me. It cost me over $3,000 in total ($2,000 for purchase and additional $1,000 in repairs). I ended up getting an auto loan and buying a car through CarMax later that year because I needed my own vehicle. It was the worst experience ever and the true definition of a lemon. Sorry for the "essay" and thanks for those that read my story to the end 😀
Embarrassment story: I was so drunk at a friends house party, at 18 (that I wasn't suppose to be at because I was still living at home) that I fell off the front porch and tore, not only my ACL but my MCL and fractured my ankle. I SCREAMED so loud, woke all the neighbors up, and the police were called because someone thought someone had been shot from the sound of me falling! Got rushed to the ER by my parents at 2am, PISSED. I never did the surgery that was recommended because I had bills so I worked through it. 5 years later my knee still ain't right. lol

Same when I was 20 I had a skateboarding accident that resulted in me having a Lisfranc Fracture in my left foot I never got the surgery that I needed so almost 3 years later I have Osteoarthritis in my left foot and it still hurts
@@slunaf the only thing that they could do was drain my knee every few weeks to ease some of the pain. Terrible terrible experience and learned my lesson. Lol

I saved up 5k for my first car, and literally only drove it from the dealership to my house because it was smoking. Dealership was very rude, so until I could save up to get it fixed it sat there. Finally got it fixed.. long story short car was a piece of shit, but I learned my lesson. I probably drove for a total of a month😭 Love you and your videos girly💕

Omg you mentioning the word lemon. Just took me back to when I was 18 years old and I was so excited to buy my first car 🚘 I had been saving as much as I could to purchase my first car for my little family 👨👩👦 So when I finally saved up enough money I came across another problem which was I needed a cosigner and I had no one to sign for me. My father-in-law was nice enough to cosign for me everything was perfect I was finally gonna get my dream car and my first car at the time. Little did I know when I was getting myself into. So I drove it off the lot and I was so excited I couldn’t believe it! The next day I had to work in the morning I drove it to work and on my way back on the highway the car started slowing down and all the car injectors started going crazy so I think the car had like an electrical problem and who knows what else. I was so sad and devastated because not only did I have a nonworking car but I also had to be making payments on it and to keep in mind I was only working part time enough to barely make the payments on the car that broke down in less than 24 hours. I was so stressed even knowing the fact that my father-in-law had to cosign for me I was stuck with a payment of a car that was not working and I gave all my savings to the dealership and in return I got a car that broke down 😭😭 I did take it back to the dealership and it was a very small private owned dealership so we literally sat there for hours arguing with the owner because he wouldn’t want to give me my money back and take his car back but finally at the end of the night after a long stressful day of arguing he gave me my money back. Worst experience of my life after that day I dread it get any car but thank God I never experienced anything similar to that ever again. 🙏❤️

I had met this guy, decided it was a good idea to live across the country with him and DRIVE. So we bought a $900 Nissan off letgo (now named offer up) had some minor issues but nothing like the fact that fumes were coming out the vents every-time the heat was on. It burned your eyes horribly. We drove from Denver to Pittsburgh in the SNOWWW with the windows cracked to air out the fumes 💀 the car ended up getting impounded and they wanted double what it was worth so I just said f it
I was in college in Dallas, Tx driving to Houston for the weekend to be with my family. I have made this trip a lot of times. I ALWAYS made sure my tires were ok, I had jumper cables if needed, a spare tire and full tank of gas before heading out BECAUSE my cell phone connection was bad majority of the route. This time about half way through my tire POPS!! I get to the shoulder of the highway to check my vehicle. I’m already on fight of flight mode. Trying to remember how to change a tire & attempting to contact somebody. Then I hear a voice “Ma’am!! Excuse me!! Are you ok? Do you need help?” This older man saw everything & stopped to help me. He was driving a white truck and in the back a connected trailer FULL OF TIRES!!!!! That’s God right there!!! I got my tire changed and made it to Houston. 😅
That's AMAZING. when I take my kids to school I'm NEVER dressed. So this past week I went about the morning as normal. Pj's and a hooded bath robe🤦♀️ about to turn into the school parking lot and BAM! rear tire exploded. I knew what to do but dmamn it I looked CRAZY. So I waited until all the parents pulled out. Well I tried. The very last car was one the dad's. He stopped to offer some assistance. I am very appreciative but dude I have to start getting dressed!!! 🤣

I literally JUST bought a new car, the mechanic told me it looked good and the seller said everything was fine. I drove the car for 2 days and it broke down in a random parking lot. Turns out I needed to replace the drive shaft, which was a little pricy. Fixd would have saved me a lot of time and money lmao
This is why you buy a Honda lmao the newer Hondas have built in maintenance monitoring that will tell you what you should check after every certain miles, I’m surprised more car brands don’t

I drive an hr to work and then an hr back every day and one day my car overheated and I was stuck in a Walmart parking lot for hourssssss until I finally had a tow truck come pick my baby up 🥲 I love the idea of this device and app so much!! Definitely feel like it can help a lot of people out 💞

OKAY QUEEN BACK TO BACK STORYTIMES
The craziest thing to happen to me was when I took my 2017 Ford Fusion to Ford for a simple oil change. A day later I saw smoke coming from the engine but it wasn’t enough for me to worry. So later that day I went to work and once I got off work I turned on my car and the whole engine started smoking. So much smoke that the air around us was just smoke. I had to get the car towed cause I couldn’t drive it. I get the diagnostic back from them and they tell me that I mixed Desiel and regular gas together 🙂. Causing me 8k to get a whole new engine and 10 months without a car!!
Mind you, just to get the car towed from ford took 2 days and multiple phone calls. They kept saying they were coming & never came. Never trust ford.

Nikki if you gots the time, start doing apre’s nails!!! I’ve been doing it since 2019 and haven’t been back to a nail salon since beech!!! They hella last longer and I work with my hands!! There are dupes of the apres nail kit like beetles, kiara sky nails etc. but I’ve only used apres and I’ve saved hella money!!!!! I got some tips too if ya want it 👀

My embarrassment story: I was getting my oil changed at a drive through place and as I was about to drive in I noticed a very attractive young man you know! So I try to drive forward and my car light broke down and he had to help me PUSH it to a parking spot. Then I had to wait for an hour for a drive 😩

For the last 2 months I have been having car issues! I replaced the roders and brake pads. Then the battery went bad so replaced it. The heat stopped working so had it worked on. Then it started overheating. I got the thermostat and radiator cap replaced and was told if that didn’t help it’s definitely a head gasket. Turn signal/tail light is out. The cluster is starting to go bad. So that’s where I’m at now. My car is 16 years old and has 215,000 miles on it. So we working on finish paying our truck off and then hoping to buy me a new car, but it takes time! Love your videos!

Your timing is insane, I had the worst experience ever to do with cars just last Saturday. LONG STORY BUT WORTH THE READ!! A little backstory on my car before I start. I’m 19 years old now but when I was 16 about to be 17, I was all about my bag… I had a job the second I turned 16 ( still at now ) and I spent almost a year saving and put a $4000 down payment on my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The interior looked so luxurious, nice touch screen, leather seats, heated seats ugh girl the whole package, I was so happy. Unfortunately all good things come to an end and I’m now 19, had the car for about 3 years and it hits 200k miles but you know our Grand Cherokee’s and they are beasts. About 5 months ago I don’t know what happened but here I am replacing the radiator, water pump, hoses, thermostat, etc… im now pouring all this money into my car and I had to make the decision to either say bye to my car or risk more issues coming from it. I finally came to a decision and it was time to upgrade. Now to the story….
I live a little bit outside of Vegas and it’s a very small town that has almost nothing to do. Whenever I want to go to the movies or the mall, I have to make the hour drive to Vegas. Well I had been working and working and I decided it was time for a Vegas trip. Last weekend was perfect because the new Batman movie came out and I had some shopping to do (aka new purse timeeee) also this was the weekend you left Vegas and I wanted to see youuu but I hope you and David had fun. My car had NO WARNING SIGNS the whole day, so the end of the trip rolls around and boom we are on Blue Diamond rd driving home. I got to speed up to the speed limit and I hear a LOUD bang, if I had to say, it sounded like my automatic car was shifting gears on its own and so I keep driving and I’m thinking omg what was that and I notice my speedometer going down but I’m hitting the gas… I freak out and I think omg I broke my car and I go to pull off the highway and bishhh when I turn my wheel to get into a parking lot… my steering wheel LOCKS and I’m PANICKING and my boyfriend is telling me to turn the car off, when I turn the car off I am in auto pilot and full on anxiety when I look over to my boyfriend and he starts screaming to get out of the car, I look up and smoke. I jumped out of the car so fast with only my phone and wallet and when I turned around to look at my baby…. Nikki the car was on fire. I was freaking out and panicking, I had never seen or been through something like this. We called the police and they transferred us to the fire department and all we could do was wait and watch. LUCKLY there was a highway patrol going the opposite direction and he saw the smoke from where he was and rushed over. Well I didn’t know this but they keep fire extinguishers in their cars !! He didn’t hesitate to go up and put the fire out and I could breathe because at this point the fire hadn’t gone up the car and was just underneath…. As he was walking back, the fire sparked up even higher and my whole hood was on fire at this point. Long story short, they came, took my statement, put the fire out and I was able to get my stuff from the inside. God was watching out for us because we are lucky that the doors didn’t lock on us, we were lucky it happened on the highway and not in the mountain pass outside of Vegas, we were lucky that they put the fire out before destroying everything on the inside, and overall lucky to be alive. I had triple A tow back home. I have pictures of the aftermath ( melted everything under the hood ). Totaled the car but insurance got me. I’m going to send the pictures to your Instagram but mine is private and I don’t know if you will get them, hopefully you do lol. My scary moment I had with my car was when my transmission went out on the freeway during traffic hours and I had my baby girl with me and I was stuck on freeway cars during honking at me but I had to have CHP push my car out the freeway. I was nevours cause it was just me and my new born baby girl

This story had my anxiety all over! I drove through Colorado mountains in the summer and that is no joke!! With snow I would never. Tire chains and good tires are a must! I tried driving in WA mountains when it started to snow and I had to turn around cause my gut told me the little rental I had was not going to make it 😬 Glad yall made it!

My car literally stopped as I was going up a windy hill. So scary! It turned out the be my shock plugs! Another time in that same car I got stranded 4 hours away at a music festival in July…with no cell service except in the middle of the field with no shade and 85+ degree weather. That car had so many issues and was a lemon for sure. I’m so happy I paid for extra warranty because it broke down more than 8 times! I wish I had Fixd back then and I probably never would have purchased it in the first place.

My family has always had the worst luck with cars. We had this van for so long that literally had the worst luck. The tires would pop almost every other month, we've had tires fly off, yes girl FLY off going down the freeway. It has no ac. Cracked windshield. The power steering fluid was always running out(probably a leak) so it was SOO hard to turn the wheel and that's just the half of it, it would have saved us a lot of money and time sitting on the side of the road having this fixed sensor!!!🙏😭

One time when my now 5 year old was about 4 months old, I was driving on the highway, just he & I, and my car literally shut off in the middle of the highway IN THE FAST LANE, no idea the transmission needed to be checked. I was of course terrified cause if you know Florida, you know they can’t drive. Thank God we were able to stay safe until the state trooper arrived to shut the highway down to get me & my son over to the right emergency shoulder & off I4. I was so beyond scared

Omg girl a couple months back my husband, kids and i where on the freeway on our way back from the pumpkin patch and we heard a loud pop and looked around saw nothing then 20seconds later our whole tire popped off and flow down the barranco we couldn’t stop my daughter was so scared 😳
