I can NEVER tell where these stories are going to go in the beginning. I was sitting here wondering how in the world Marissa was gonna relate back to being a step mom, but I always trust that Nikki is gonna tie it all together and keep me on my toes the whole time!

@@chauvy5799 they do it by marrying men who don't pay child support. so if my daughters step mom starts talking about "her daughter" that is funny because she married a man who doesn't pay child support. dont claim that somebody is "your daughter" and you only care about what happens to her or how she is getting by in life exclsuively when you see her face and the rest of the time you stick by a man who does likewise. that's the joke in my situation.

Nikki I truly commend you on becoming a step mom at 19 because I could never. I'm 25 now and I STILL could never voluntarily walk into someone else's mess and get involved. I'm just not built for the bs in any capacity and those situations, regardless of how well people want them to go, are full of them.

It's so hard being a step mom even more so when the bio mom doesn't "approve" . My daughter is 4 and I just had a baby two months ago. A few weeks ago my daughter was crying in her room and when I asked what was wrong she said that I no longer loved her because I have my own baby now. When I asked her who told her that she said that her mommy told her. That because I had a baby now I would no longer love her and only her mommy will.
It's so frustrating and hurtful, the worst part is that it affects my daughter way more than it would affect me because I understand the situation and she doesnt.
Thats petty and childish....smh
I literally went through this and still occasionally go through this. My daughter is 10 and we now have a 4 year old son. Her bio mom pulled me aside one day and said that my daughter gets emotional because her dad and I love her brother more. But when I talked to my daughter about it she told me that that never happened.
My stepdaughter had it rough bc her mom would say terrible things about us to her. For us it was a definite case of Parental Alienation. Now that my daughter is 19, she has been expressing how confusing and harmful that was for her, and seeing her mom for her manipulation and anger. I feel so bad that some ADULTS cannot put down their petty issues for the sake of their kid. Don't stoop to her level and be the safe parents for your kiddos
I don’t think ANYTHING on this planet pisses me off more than an adult making a child feel like shit by putting down the other parent(s) and minimizing how important the bonus parents/co parent are to that child. My whole goal in life is to not have my child’s feelings hurt unnecessarily- I cannot fathom telling her that another parent that she loves isn’t going to, “love her anymore”. Especially if they were good parents and I was only running my mouth to feed my own insecurities. Say Whaaaaat?!

Nikki!! I have a step mom and I absolutely love and look up to her, all you have to do is love on em, blood doesn’t matter. I can tell how much you love your kids and how you’re an incredible mom from all of your videos. You radiate positive energy, I just know Julian adores you and I’m glad you never let those other moms get in your head.

Hi Nikki, ik you might not see this but last night I went to my step sons first back to school night. The whole time I kept hearing your voice encouraging me! Lol its hard not knowing anyone personally that’s a step mom like me at a young age but you give me confidence and I find comfort knowing I’m alone in this 💗

I just turned 23 and a week or two ago I had to pull a lady almost 10 years older than me with kids aside and let her know I am not here for drama and we should have left that in high school. (That itself is a whole storytime, and yes she also played the lost puppy game) You are literally one of the reasons I have the confidence to do that, because of videos like this where you show and remind people that you are not the one. And when I heard what she was saying I was like “You know, I’m not the one either. I deserve to be respected.” My other coworker told me she hadn’t made a peep since 😅 Love you and your storytimes Nikki ❤️

FINALLY!!! Been waiting for some step mom content from you!! I’ve been a step mom for 6 years now and my son turned 8 years old today!!!! Shout out to my boy! I love your story times and I know you would never say anything on your platform to compromise your family, it’s just nice to hear stories that step moms have similarities too, specially those of us who have no1 in our lives to share that with. Omg I'm a first time mom and my little girl barely turned one month last Wednesday. Oooo girl my mother instincts kicked in so fast it's no joke! Being a people pleaser is my weakness and I need to work on it especially since I'm a mom now and have my little one to care for first. So seeing you always not taking people's BS encourages me more to try to be more like you and not letting it slide. I love you girl and hope all is well with your family!💕💕

I was afraid at first too but I eventually realized step parents play a huge role in a child’s life. That is your son and don’t ever be afraid to refer to him as that ! I have been a step mom for 7 years and no matter what she will always be my daughter! Bonus moms for the win !

I have a stepdad, he’s been in my life since I was 2, I am about to turn 20 and let me tell you, he has gone through hell with people calling him a low life but I always hug him and tell him that I see his hard work and I ALWAYS thank him for being my dad and for being a part of my life. He is the best thing that has ever happened to me. ❤️

I usually don’t comment on UA-cam videos, but I needed this. I have been with my man for about three years now and I’m only in my early 20s and he has two kids. I have been mocked, talked about behind my back, and had slick comments said to my face. Even their bio mom’s friends wanting to fight me and making up rumors about me to their mom to start drama. One thing about me though, is I’m respectfully going to address it. There is only so much someone can take though.
With that being said, just recently I have been struggling more than normal with continuing the relationship since everytime the kids back from their mom’s side they have been treating me worse. That hurts so bad to me especially when all I do is show them love as if they were my own. Today I felt the weight more than normal and was venting to my friend about it, and this video was uploaded the same day after I was venting about not knowing if I should move forward cause I didn’t think it would get better. I feel a strong motivation to keep moving forward because of the love I have for the kids as well as their dad.

It’s literally so toxic to have people judge you for taking care of your kids. No body should EVER know which child is biologically yours or not by the way you treat them. Those are ALL your kids. What is wrong with people?? Being supportive, loving, kind… etc. is how you should be treating your step kids. As a step child myself, and also a step mom, you can’t pick and choose when to be a mom. That is your baby.
So I NEEDED this video due to my newfound circumstance & stepping into “step-parenthood”. It makes me so nervous but hearing others’ experience helps so much!

To all the other step moms i am so sorry to what some of these mothers put you threw, my daughters step mom I am best friends with but my fiancé has two daughters I am a stepmother too we’ve been together 10 years and I can’t tell you what she’s put me threw (making crap up about my daughter and myself, calling cps, cops, job and family) this year she had bed bugs said she got them from me I confronted her she lied said no and I hadn’t talked to her since then, come March cops are knocking on my door saying my daughter and fiancé had r**** his own daughter both at the Same time in July, luckily I had so many texts messages proving it wasn’t true even sheriff documentation from when we had first got together of her trying to say my daughter had done something similar before and then I had texts of her saying she done it because she was mad. This woman I told everything to I tried to be her friend even kept her son that had no relation to either hubby or I,kept him for a week, took her maternity shots, newborn photos, gave her money washed her clothes, helped clean her house. I am the type of person that does everything for everyone until you fuck me over or lie and I catch you
