The Multiforce has a design flaw in the way the frame is constructed. It does not support the pliers and then WILL break if you put too much pressure or torque on them. The Bibury is constructed properly and will not fail nearly as easily, if at all.

I've put the Multiforce through some hard use since I made this video and thankfully I haven't had the frame failure issue. I've read that a lot of the earlier production pieces had a lot of quality control issues. They have since fixed them.... Hopefully... My experience with it has been very positive. But I'll still keep my fingers crossed.

This is correct. Mine broke just like you said after 5 months of moderate use. Hopefully I just got a bad batch and the others are good

I bought wave+ thumb stubs/tabs for my Rocktol which is similar if not nearly the same as the bibiry and they work perfect for getting the blades out with one hand. Easier I would say

Good to know! Thank you. And I bet they will fit most of the clones.

I have a weird thing about multi tools I did one on the gerber truss ive had it almost a year now and just haven't found any use for it and the few times I tried to use it I found it to be useless and had to go get the real version of the tool

I kinda have a 3 tier approach with tools. On my person, in my truck, and in my garage. I don't typically go for the Multi-tool if I'm near my truck or in my garage. Every job has a right tool for it and the Multi-tool is rarely it. But they are handy to have around when there is nothing else.

Exactly. Throw a PicQuik multi screwdriver, a ten inch adjustable wrench, a pair of linesmans pliers and a knife like a Mora in your car and you've got tools that are actually useful.
And they don't take up much space in the compartment under your seat.

I just learned something new. I've never heard of the PicQuick screwdrivers before. Pretty cool!

Ozark trail is even better than Wave because it doesn't pinch the hand, look, protruding tools are external to pliers movement not internal while in pliers mode.
Look also at scales, externally it has less edges in scales, this doesn't mean more comfort means less damage if you make intensive use of tool bare handed.

I love my Ozark trail multiforce. And you're right about the wave pinching. The MF seems to have solved it.

Just bought a Walmart brand "Ozark Trail" Multiforce . Because of the reviews from people on UA-cam.
And I have quite a few different types of Multitools in my collection. I even have the "Ozark Trail" brand that you can get in the camping and hiking gear section. That has no name on it and every option on it looks like it would probably break under use.
Though the pliers on both my Multiforce and this no name "Ozark Trail" brand look the same. I'm sure there is a big difference between the two.
And of course I have a Gerber, some off brand one called Wolverine, a few different Leatherman® and my favorite one is my life Micra™. Because for its size at 2-1/2" inches long , it is easy to carry on a keychain, comes with a few different options. But what I like about it the most is the scissors instead of pliers.
I probably have like 10 different types of the smaller types of Multitools.
My wife would always buy me a new one for a Christmas gift.
Some of them are more interesting than the others. Like hardwood handle covers, and some have a little flashlight built into them. There are two of them I like the best, one has the hardwood handle covers and just looks cool. The other one is again from Walmart but from the tools section and it is a HART® brand. It surprisingly good quality for such a small 2-1/2" inch little Multitool.

I had a Leatherman wave since it first cam out 25 or 30 years years ago and picked up a new one from lowes and opened it in the parking lot and walked right back inside to return it because of a few quality control issues a 120 dollar tool should not have and I just picked up the multiforce and think it is a keeper! Leatherman is a name and not what they once where!

@@carlostovar8585 I'll tell you what the issue was any one I would have taken it back for I actually called leatherman and asked if they could hand pick one and trade me they said tack it back! The pliers had a giant pit I guess from casting. The pliers were ground improperly so at the tip one was twice as big as the other and the knife was sharpened more on one side than the other so bad it was almost like a scissor edged ! No way all that was overlooked it must be the new acceptable for them I got it at Lowe's so unlikely it was a knock off
