Another great video, thanks for posting! That Rescue Essential Meds Kit is great. First I'd heard of it. As you point out, it pairs great with a med-less First Aid kit. While available on BackCountry not Amazon and priced at $15 not $10, the Travel Medic kit from Adventure Medical Kits is in my carry on. It combines 5 or 6 different meds with a boo boo kit.

I like the first aid kit refills....reminds me it's time to check and probably update a few of my kits. Also, check out the 39 piece driver and bit kit from Steinwhale. It has both 4mm precision bits and 1/4" bits and the driver is excellent. I mention this because the kit includes a 1/4" to 4mm adapter, and the whole thing is only $16 with excellent quality.

I had that screwdriver but ended up returning it. That magnet is so strong. It starts just picking up everything in your kit. It's better as a magnet imo. The problem with the way it is right now is that you have very limited bits. And they're pretty clunky. And if you do something dumb like I did and try testing it with regular 1/4 inch bits you'll get a bit stuck in there that will NEVER EVER come out, not with pliers, not with tweezers, not with anything aside from supergluing it. Overall it's pretty clunky. The 4mm to 1/4 inch adapter isn't ideal. Instead it's better to have 1/4 inch to 4 MM and just have bits that can work with 4 mm (that's better imo) than trying to go the other way around and you'll get better torque.

I like your channel because I used to be a prepper, and I went into just carrying EDC items only on me instead of all out well, sshtf prepping. You have a very useful channel for EDC prepping that can fit into your pocket. I have thousands of dollars invested in bug out bags and tents and survival items. I dropped them all and went to very small items that I could fit in my pocket every day and in the corner my thousands of dollars investment sits and looks at me. While I carry just EDC items that you show on your channel and I think it's your channels actually really a cool channel now I've actually unsubscribed from major prepping channels.

Dude that's awesome! Great job. I'm a big LeverGear Edge fan too. I have three of these little kits set up in addition to a meds tube on my keychain. Two bigger kits go in my sling bag, one in my pocket. I use a regular Altoids tin exclusively for first aid items. It goes in a sling bag. I have a little dyneema bag from Wild Sky Gear just a tad larger than the Altoids tin with emergency preparedness items excluding first aid. In my pocket, I always carry a mini Altoids trouble kit with $100 bill, some needle and thread, small microfiber cloth, duct tape, cordage, trick candle, match, tick remover, emergency whistle, Q-tip cut in half, Leatherman Signal knife sharpener, safety pin and a fishing glow stick.

I've never had a problem with negative displays they look cool, my first few Gshocks were like yours analog and digital, but then I decided it took longer to read them because I always have to look at an analog watch and tell the time, as opposed to a digital watch that just tells you the time, so that was when I started buying the Gshock squares. No smartwatch will ever beat a gshock because a smartwatch is not a watch it's a computer, they are a pain in the ass to keep charging, never rely on a smartwatch if you can't charge it its useless and you're buggered.

Many of the contracts the Govt/Military gives out. They will “prioritize” certain groups or institutions. Like a US Veteran owned buisness or Americans with Dissabilities. The “Berry Amendment” mandates that certain products the US Govt makes… have to be manufactured by Americans in America from American materials. By law. I believe when the Govt does contracting. You’ll be incentivized if you fall into certain categories. I know much of the textile materials. Like poncho liners and whatnot issued when I was in the Marine Corps were made by companies who employed a certain number of partially or permanently blind Americans. This being an NSN’d product made for the military… it’s probably why it was made by those with visual impairments. As far as my experience… there is no degradation of the quality/quality control with the products from these companies. Blind people can make quality American made stuff!!! :)

The FOD stands for “foreign object/debris”. In the military on the flight deck… you’ll see all the junior rates in a huge line… and they walk the flight deck from end to end doing a “FOD walk”. Their all looking for tiny little objects. Like springs or rocks or anything that’s not the flight deck. All of the FOD can be “ingested” by the aircraft’s engines. And cause serious injury or “un aliving” for the crew or pilot. So when they say “FOD” I believe that is to show that there are no little pieces that could pop off and be ingested by an aircraft’s engine. Not 100% on that… but pretty sure. Thanks for the video. I just ordered one of these. Looks like an awesome three in one writing implement.

@@SurvivingtheDaily it’s a culture onto itself. Tennis shoes become “go fasters”. A flashlight is a “moon beam”. A wall a “bulkhead” the floor is the “deck”. Doors are “hatches”. Pens are called “ink sticks” or “writing implement”. Books are called “knowledge”. And on and on. I was in the Corps… so much of our terminology has a nautical bent/tradition. It truly is like learning another language… and then you add in the acronyms. Lol.

I like the faraday bags, I would put a little power bank in the large one with all of the plugs, and solar pannels.

"Fireproof and waterproof" - maybe if you use those bags like a nested doll, then maybe by the time the smallest one melts and leaks through you'd get to it just in time before your steel keys are affected.

How do you know it's really D2 blade steel. Also, if it is D2, it's probably very poorly heat treated👍

Very good questions. There are channels that have claimed to have had it tested. I don't know honestly. I would be more apt to trust them then some other budget knife companies.

Why did you say "I have to disagree" at the first of the video??

I was very skeptical and the weight was way off. I still believe it's not a replacement for the bugout but it is a great option if someone can't afford a bugout.

I give you Cudos for using an actual benchmade for comparison. Thumbs up 👍🏻 for that.
