@ShawnJSpiller u need the trim piece only if ur going to put in a double din like this radio, otherwise a single din, radio will fit fine with ur current trim piece. my cousing did that in his 06 ram with ur radio. you dont need the lockpick, u need the pac audio C2R-CHY4 to hook to your new radio. if ur keeping the stock radio its a little different. the only hard part of this is running the wires from amp to door speakers, if u plan to do that.
@slymylizard the opening is a little bigger the 5.25, and there r 3 screw holes that wont line up with aftermarket speakers, what i did was put in 5.25's in and used 4 self tap screws to hold them in. and now i custom fit 6.5's in the back if u see my newest video on my truck
@SuperRitchey depends if ur subs in the box r wired inside for 2 ohm or 4 ohm, im not sure what mine is anymore, i think my subs r wired 2 ohm in the box so i wired them series to the amp to get 4 ohms total
@MrDsei theres a pic i show of my 2 antenas on for the sirus and the other for gps, i put them under the dash where the stock middle speaker was, and i made a metal cut out to fit and hold them in place. receptions fine for me, cause its not 100% covered, cause theres some what of a hole for a speaker
@AgustinB84 i cant think of the kits name look on metra's site of scoshe's site they have they kits and u can get them other place for cheaper but those r the places to look them up
@dfranklin5891 i think it would work cause its the same plug and they both talk to the cars computer, but im not sure i would ask the dealership. the lockpick lets u watch video on the radio with rca inputs, but the lockpick caused computer problems with my truck, which is y i put the pioneer z110bt in my truck
@deerslayer1015 i dont recommend keeping the stock radio, with the pac at low volumes there was a feed back buzzing sound, u dont have to go all out and get $900 radio like i did but any aftermarket with stock rca outs will sound better then a stock radio every time
@holla180 proboxrocks is the website, there a company in texas, they ship there stuff all over, this box and subs was shipped from them to my house in california
@51wacth they should be u get the window opener off,take the door handle off, then there is one screw on the panel, after that the panel should slide up freely and then will come off, idk how to take the window crank off in the truck cause i have power, but shouldnt be much harder then taking them off any other car
@SPavlinec1 not planning on selling the radio cause when i do sell the truck the original is going back in it, i didnt cut any factory wires so it will be really easy
they came in the box i got from proboxrocks, the box just sits in the tray under the seat and there r 2 selftap screws to hold the box down, but u dont even need them cause it stay on its own good
my truck had the nav radio the nav bezel can be bought on ebay to fit a double din, and then the double din dash kit can also be found on ebay look for dodge rec nav dash kit
@denoves35 my factory radio had 3 plugs in it, the was a rectangle plug which has everything for the after market radio then next to it is a square one that idk what is for but dont need it, then by it self there was another square plug that, is for rear seat video if u have that, there also was a am/fm antenna and a satellite antenna plug
@Bryanstud1234 first start i would lose the stock radio cause its high level out which dont have the same sound quality as low level outs (RCA's) and the stock radio doesnt have a sub channel so ur subs r running off ur back speaker signal most likly so ur not get most the notes the subs should play. u dont have to get as crazy of radio as this, u just want something with 3 sets of rca outs, fronts, rears, subs a lot of cheap radios dont have that
@nYmPhMoBiLe08 i dont like to cut factory wire which is y i use a harness but its really up to u. r u changing the radio as well as the speakers cause the radio plays a big part in how everything sounds and a stock radio with high level outs is never as good as an aftermarket with low level outs. i think the infinity system uses a factory amp so u need to run new wires for all the speakers into the doors or else ur goona run into problems, i did that on mine its kinda a bitch lol
hey man i plan on gettin the same thing as you. do they hit hard and sound loud? cause im iffy if there even good. im stuck between what you have and a custom box with 2 p3 rockford fosgate shallow mounts 12in's. ive just heard tht what you have will rock the hell outa the truck. idk if there just saying tht or what
@MadCow5303 the subs are not in the way at all, i can pm u some pics and stuff tomorrow when its light out. u can sit on the seats fine, its like sitting in a massage chair, its a little strong, but i have it so i can turn it down or off if people in back dont like it. when i got it i thought it was great, but i got used to it and im trying to find a way to go bigger and better, i got a lot of new stuff im putting in, but i put this on hold temporarily, cause i have another project car
@sbcaprice305 there good for what the room u have, the hit hard for 10's, but im goin to try and fit 2 12" l7 im also doin custom door panels to have 2 rockford t2652's on each door. got the panels, almost enough for the speakers then im goin to make the panels
@marshallandgrant they r probox subs, there made by the company that made my box, they are the best non spl 10" subs i have heard, not to many subs fit in that small space under the seat or else i would of got way bigger, lol. but for the size of the cab they shake the shit out of everything in the truck
@nYmPhMoBiLe08 i had to put the c2r-chy4 cause my car was throwin error code, i had the stock nav radio, my cousin has the same truck and he didnt have the nav radio and he didnt use the c2r and he hasnt had a problem. if u are running 1 l7 4ohm with dual coils it u run the coils in parallel it will make it 2ohms
hey man i have a 2007 dodge quad cab and got the same pro box with the pro boxs 10in subs and how did u wire the subs to ur mono block amp? thanks love the video keep them coming!!!!!!
@nolqqkn i have it, it works, not planing on selling, cause im gonna put it back in the truck for when i sell it and get another, i didnt cut any factory wires
its extremely easy, idk who would think its hard, it says on each wire what they are, and then you match them up to the radio ur installing which usually say what they, after that plug one end into the factory wire harness and the other to ur new radio
Ok well i wanna get the Pioneer AVH-P4300DVD head unit and run a 12" Kicker L7 off a P5002 2 channel amp bridged... do i just need the PAC C2R-CHY4 harness? And my amp says it runs 650 watts @ 2 Ohms(All Channels Combined)... so do i need to get a 2 Ohm Kicker L7 or 4 Ohm Kicker L7? They are dual voice coil speakers if you arent familiar with them!
not really sure cause i keep changing stuff out, i got new speakers in another video, and next going and another set of speaker and try to fit 12" subs to replace the 10's this radio i picked up for $850 when it was new, now theres the z130bt, which i just installed in a friends truck but havent uploaded yet, picked that up for $865
Do you know if I can swap out a single disc radio out of a 2007 ram ST and install the 6 disc navigation touch screen unit. Think the only thing i would need is the bezel. what options did the lock pick offer.
Nice setup. I have an 08 that I plan on doing something similar to. One question, do you have your GPS and SAT antennas mounted under the plastic dash or did you do a cutout? If it's under, how is your reception? Thanks in advance.
Hey thanks for the video it was very helpful but i have a few questions! I have the same truck as you with the 7 speaker infinity system and im looking to update the system with a new HU, amp and speakers. My question is do i need to buy a harness or can i just do all new wiring?
The Pac harness has two yellow wires for 12V and the Pioneer harness only has one, do i connect the two yellows to the one yellow or does on split off to somewhere else? And same with the ground black wires, do i connect the two blacks to the one black or does one slpit off and get grounded? And the Pioneer harness has a mute wire and the PAC harness doesnt, why is this? And do i have to connect the parking break wire or will video not work at all? Other than that all the wiring is ready to go!
I have 2 cvt 12in kickers under my seat with the factory radio in my dodge ram 1500,i have a box just like yours but its a little smaller i was wondering if you knew what would be best for me to get to make my system bang a lot harder and be top notch? and what type of amp to you have?
what wire did you connect the amp turn on wire from the pac harness? did you just connect it to the power antenna wire? I'm wiring my pickup with the same harness and system.
@vwpro177 it was $600 and it included shipping then i got a rockford t1500.1 online(e$b%a&y) for $350 to power it, a t1000.1 is good enough i think, i just got such a good deal i bought the t1500.1
@DRIFTFACTOR3 its a once a year payment of like 150, but i talked them down to 100 or some bs like that, cause thats way to much in my opinion to pay for that
im not really planing on selling it, cause i dont know how long im goin to keep the truck, and if i do im not giving them my z110bt lol. but if u search rec on e-b.a-y u can find used and new of these radios for sale.
I have a 2006 dodge ram with the req radio! I was wondering what you did with your old radio! I would like to update mine and put in the nav radio! Would you be interested in selling it?
@TheAustinHenry its a pretty good amp, i like it, just its more power then i need for the crappy alpine r speakers i have, but im putting better ones in soon, and then have the t600 going to be better
@PSPHaCkErAOD Yes im going to get the Pioneer AVH-P4300 and a 4 channel amp to run 6 of the 7 speakers. How big of a pain in the ass is it to run all new wires? I can dedicate 2 days to it if i need to!
@TheseOpenRoads my subs came with my box, it was $600 $150 on cables original $100 each for 2 sets of speakers now i got $250 each on on 3 sets of speaker(not finished with install so no video yet) i got the t1500 for $300 t600.4 was $350 u can do a good system for a lot cheaper, but u do pay for the quality (doin a few cheaper installs for friends i will probably post in the future as well) i spent the most on the radio, there r $200 ones just as good, but no navi
@thecrazynebraskan not very good,u mostly here highs with them and not much mids so thats not really good,and they arent very loud either, i just order a new set of door panels and im goin to put to sets of 6.5's in them, ill post that soon, goin to be sick. my cousin who has the same truck as me put these kenwood 6x9 5 way speakers in and there amazing, u hear every little detail
@DRIFTFACTOR3 my cousin has the same truck, but the regular radio like u, and it wouldnt fit, but i can always look online for a 06-08 dodge ram radio bezel for nav. i saw some for about $100 on e,b.@,y. or u can go with a 1 din flip out like he did
I have the radio and looked under the glove box and it appears there's a sat receiver there but I don't get SAT radio. What else is installed with yours besides the radio and harness?
im not selling it, cause when i go to sell my truck im going to put it back. ur better off buying and aftermarket nav. that radio sucks, its not touch screen it has a joystick, and no aux in so only 6 cd/am fm/ sat
@mrpep1976 its the same as for cars that came from the factory with it, idk if what u have makes it cheaper or not, but i dont think so. but i always wait til like the last minute to pay again for the year an act like idk if i want to resubscribe and they usually lower the price a little, hahaha
@nYmPhMoBiLe08 hahaha hell no that would sound like shit, i dont have a factory amp on my truck, i had the factory radio with an adapter til i saved up for my pioneer, with the adapter there was lots of distortion. i have a rockford t600.4 and t1500.1 powering my speakers and subs. factory amps and radio rnt good for anything when u build a real system
@Bryanstud1234 mine is the avic-z110bt the current model is the z130bt and the z140bt comes out soon i payed $800 for it new. (e)(b)(a)(y) is where i got it and i got my friend a z130bt for about the same price recently
@FromThe3PointLine it is a piece of shit thing that let watch videos and use ipod on stock nav, but it doesnt work after dealer software update, it gets ur car to throw error codes

Where did u get a sub setup to go under your seats. I have a ford super duty super cab not the full 4 door. Options for subs are minimal
@Sotexy2
its plugs into the stock plug and has wires to splice to ur radio, ill pm
@denoves35
my factory radio had 3 plugs in it, the was a rectangle plug which has everything for the after market radio then next to it is a square one that idk what is for but dont need it, then by it self there was another square plug that, is for rear seat video if u have that, there also was a am/fm antenna and a satellite antenna plug
@consmac61
i know, but thats about $600 and for just a little more i got a way better radio so it all worked out
@obrnat06
ya thats the one i have, it doesnt seem to fit to good, the bottom sticks out to far on the piece that clips on
@nYmPhMoBiLe08 its just hard to pull the wires threw the rubber door boots cause there really small other then that not to bad
@Bryanstud1234 first start i would lose the stock radio cause its high level out which dont have the same sound quality as low level outs (RCA's) and the stock radio doesnt have a sub channel so ur subs r running off ur back speaker signal most likly so ur not get most the notes the subs should play. u dont have to get as crazy of radio as this, u just want something with 3 sets of rca outs, fronts, rears, subs a lot of cheap radios dont have that

its extremely easy, idk who would think its hard, it says on each wire what they are, and then you match them up to the radio ur installing which usually say what they, after that plug one end into the factory wire harness and the other to ur new radio

@christiangr22
search proboxrocks
thats the company that makes this box
is the satilite radio free or do you have to pay a mouthly fee or somthing
what wire did you connect the amp turn on wire from the pac harness? did you just connect it to the power antenna wire? I'm wiring my pickup with the same harness and system.
Sweet thanks! I think im just gunna get the PAC harness so i can keep things clean and retain my steering wheel controls!
@vwpro177 it was $600 and it included shipping then i got a rockford t1500.1 online(e$b%a&y) for $350 to power it, a t1000.1 is good enough i think, i just got such a good deal i bought the t1500.1
how do you open the back doors panels if you have manual window openers?
@DRIFTFACTOR3
its a once a year payment of like 150, but i talked them down to 100 or some bs like that, cause thats way to much in my opinion to pay for that
@PSPHaCkErAOD thnks man but i have one more questoin do you think that type of radio can fit into my 2008 dodge ram that has the regular radio
@PSPHaCkErAOD hey were did u get the sub box from
@PSPHaCkErAOD what was the last song you played?
So how are you running aftermarket amps with the PAC harness and the factory amp?
im not really planing on selling it, cause i dont know how long im goin to keep the truck, and if i do im not giving them my z110bt lol. but if u search rec on e-b.a-y u can find used and new of these radios for sale.
You can use the Rockford Fosgate 3Sixty.2 and Add the yourSystem While keeping All the Factory Equipment (Just to let you know) Anyway Nice System

How much did you pay for your pionner radio and where did you bet it from? I was looking to buy one..
where did you buy the probox
@TheAustinHenry
its a pretty good amp, i like it, just its more power then i need for the crappy alpine r speakers i have, but im putting better ones in soon, and then have the t600 going to be better

@TheseOpenRoads
my subs came with my box, it was $600

original $100 each for 2 sets of speakers
now i got $250 each on on 3 sets of speaker(not finished with install so no video yet)
i got the t1500 for $300
t600.4 was $350
u can do a good system for a lot cheaper, but u do pay for the quality (doin a few cheaper installs for friends i will probably post in the future as well)
i spent the most on the radio, there r $200 ones just as good, but no navi
what kind of cable did you use for your ipod integration? and where did you install it into the stereo?
where did you get the probox from
thats what sub i looked at their products but kinda of afraid of ordering subs i have never heard before.
@07tundrarider
it hits clean and hard for 10's best 10's ive had so far

@ShawnJSpiller
pioneer has it listed for $1799, which is a joke cause i see it all over for $1000
i got mine for $850 new online with free shipping
What kind of speaker box is under the rear seats?
you dont need aftermarket SAT antenna. Your factory sat antenna will work just cut off all that yellow plastic and stick it on
i mean from the factory radio. what do i connect them to. i got everything but that????????
my box is from proboxrocks, look up spl2k i bought a box from them for an f250 and it turned out sick
so whats the lock pick thing?
@thecrazynebraskan
not very good,u mostly here highs with them and not much mids so thats not really good,and they arent very loud either, i just order a new set of door panels and im goin to put to sets of 6.5's in them, ill post that soon, goin to be sick.
my cousin who has the same truck as me put these kenwood 6x9 5 way speakers in and there amazing, u hear every little detail
@PSPHaCkErAOD But what about the subs and stuff? I was thinking of getting a full system but have no idea how much it would cost me
@DRIFTFACTOR3
my cousin has the same truck, but the regular radio like u, and it wouldnt fit, but i can always look online for a 06-08 dodge ram radio bezel for nav. i saw some for about $100 on e,b.@,y. or u can go with a 1 din flip out like he did
Do you still want to sell your original radio? I would like to buy it from you.
@timpesther
search proboxrocks and the site will come up
I have the radio and looked under the glove box and it appears there's a sat receiver there but I don't get SAT radio. What else is installed with yours besides the radio and harness?
is it still ok to sit on the back seats
Yes
im not selling it, cause when i go to sell my truck im going to put it back. ur better off buying and aftermarket nav. that radio sucks, its not touch screen it has a joystick, and no aux in so only 6 cd/am fm/ sat
Can I buy your old radio
@christiangr22
thanks
@Bryanstud1234 mine is the avic-z110bt the current model is the z130bt and the z140bt comes out soon i payed $800 for it new. (e)(b)(a)(y) is where i got it and i got my friend a z130bt for about the same price recently
How much did this cost you?
@07tundrarider
ive had the subs for a while and i beat the shit out of them, i got them running well over the peak power and they hang all day
does the pro box have good sound quality?
Anyone ?
@vwpro177
proboxrocks is the website with a dot c-o*m at the end
@PSPHaCkErAOD Alright kool thanks bud i appreciate the help! Ill be ording my stuff soon!
I've never seen a 2008 Dodge Ram stereo that looked like that there should have been two nob cut outs o_O
@FromThe3PointLine
it is a piece of shit thing that let watch videos and use ipod on stock nav, but it doesnt work after dealer software update, it gets ur car to throw error codes
thanks for the info
now get some good music.
