- WE FOUND HER!!
We've been tracking this female pittie for about a week but couldn't find her before the snow storm came. We knew she was staying in a row of abandoned houses, but we couldn't figure out which one - she just kept disappearing. We saw her overnight on our trail cam and tried again. We knew she was all alone and so cold.
Today we followed her footprints in the snow! She was in one of the houses we had already searched and didn't think she would choose this one because of the flooded basement and huge gaping hole she would have to jump over to get inside. But she was desperate to be warm and took the risk.
Today we found her, huddled and shaking on some insulation on the top level. She let us leash her and walk out of the house with her. As soon as she thawed out in the warm rescue jeep, she was nothing but kisses!! The winter games begin tomorrow, so we named this beauty Bejing! We are so thankful to have found her and won't have to worry about her tonight! Strayrescue.org/Change
I am always moved on how grateful they are; after they're in the car and no longer frightened. They realize they've been rescued.

Comme cela est vrai, je le constat chaque fois hormis de très rares cas où ces Êtres souffrants et sensibles ont été tellement terrorisés que cela leur prend plus de temps pour accorder leur confiance et s’extérioriser. Mais seule la souffrance et la peur ont traumatisé ces Pauvres Êtres, j’en suis. Bouleversée chaque fois.
It is freezing out here for 2 days with sleet and snow. These ladies are beyond amazing.
Donna's " you wanna go bye bye" and Takis's " let's go home" are two of the best catch phrases that lost, lonely or abused dogs will hear. They know that from then on their lives will be so much better.
St Louis seems so proud to be saving these abandoned historic homes. These buildings are dangerous traps for animals and children. If the city wants to save them before they rot into nothing, the city needs a real plan of action, just start getting it done. The decay is destroying St Louis.

Quando ho scoperto questo canale un paio di anni fa sono rimasta sconvolta perché tutti i cani che salvavano li trovavano in case abbandonate come questa.che tristezza....
@@1963manuela the city of St. Louis politicians will do nothing about them. A Firefighter was just killed a couple of weeks ago because they thought someone was in one when it caught on fire. There are crimes committed in those derelict buildings too.

I love you guys. It's sad there has to be all these rescues in a country like the United States. Shame on people who get a dog and abandon them or get one and take them to the pound because they are sick of them or can't handle them and don't want to train them. SHAME on people. And think about other countries? People eat dogs they hurt them. I donate to feed dogs all over the world and it's an epidemic of mass proportions.
Yes , Thank You for Donating , it is horrifically disgusting !, there is no need for all this abuse & abandonments !, too many shelters , too much help to abandon one outside ! They need to be punished, and people really need to get their Pets Fixed!,, that would help a lot, the majority of families have 2-3 litters and then some , Why??? even if your selling them !, they are not all going to find a forever homes , we have enough in our shelters that need homes !, it would help a lot if all our neighbors would just get their PETS FIXED!, it’s cheaper !, it has to strop !, so many are dying unnecessarily especially now during this deep freeze !, there are more animals than people to help !, 🙏🏾♥️
Please pass the word to get people to FIX THER PETS!, it should be a law & perhaps breeders need to be regulated ! Just a thought.

I just let my dogs out to go and usually they run through the snow. It is bitter cold here in St Louis and they returned quickly. I can't imagine all the little ones out there right now. I think God has a plan for you to forever take care of these little souls. They say our loved ones meet us at our time to transition. I picture all the souls of the little ones you saved over the years meeting you.

I love how their eyes go from looking hopeless to happy when you rescue them. They always look so beaten down by life but then so hopeful they are heading to a better life. Good job ladies for not giving up finding her and rescuing her. She really didn't care when she first saw you and then went to giving kisses. 🙂

A little off topic but that mess was someones dream home at one time. I feel for the ladies that rescue these dogs, they have to deal with a lot of unpleasant situations.

I know it must not always feel like it but you angels make SUCH a huge difference. So many nice dogs with no one to care for them. I grew up in St Louis .. seeing so many abandoned houses/buildings breaks my heart .. but you folks give me hope.

Heaartbreaking to see them struggling, no home, safty, food, warmth, no family to protect and love them, or to belong to. Dogs need to belong. This beauty, like all of them, is so grateful.
