- So many people called us about this dog over the last few weeks. So many neighbors put food out for her. We KNOW she and her puppies are alive today because so many kind people kept her fed and called with sightings.
We finally found her hideout and her puppies. She gave a warning growl, but never lunged. She is the kindest, gentlest mama. Her babies are going to foster now, they are too old to keep nursing. Mama Muffin is ready to go to foster now too, where she can get endless massages and spoiling. She did it. The stressful living nightmare is over.
What a strong, brave, selfless girl. We are in awe of her strength.

From a human perspective, seeing that the dead puppy had been half-eaten is sickening, but it goes to show what a dire situation these dogs were in...

In the most deplorable of conditions, this beautiful homeless Pibbles took the greatest care of her little family. RIP to the little Angel that did not survive. MUFFIN and all your Lil Muffins have begun your new journey....safe and loved. Mad respect to SRSL for doing what you do.

Try traveling outside of america and you’ll see many puppies all over the streets and injured dogs
But I also it’s disgusting that they have pet stores when shelters have many dogs 😢
Unfortunately it happens a lot of places the US included, where you will find them in dumpsters and unimaginable places. People can be very cruel.
She is a beautiful dog. Though she is of a stigmatized breed.
@@dominiquexo4772 I haven’t seen a pet store selling pups in decades. It’s beyond passé to sell dogs from pet stores. They were usually in malls. Relying on spontaneous shoppers. They got mighty tired of letting customers play with the pups, then leave. As if it were a petting zoo or something. Their origin of breed and practices are highly suspect. Adopt, don’t buy. Cuz ya feed the dog mills by doing that.

She was cornered with no way out and she had puppies to protect but she was surprisingly calm otherwise.
Yeah, poor thing was probably just terrified. She didn’t know the intention of the rescuers, & was the only thing standing between her puppies & stranger danger. She’s a great momma!
Mama is a sweet girl and very pretty. Her pups are adorable. Great rescue!

Such deplorable conditions, and so sad the wee little Muffin 8 didn't make it. RIP little angel. This rescue organisation is so amazing, the ladies and all involved are truly such good people. Ms. Muffin is a beautiful girl. I pray she gets a wonderful forever home filled with love and adventure.

This just breaks my heart. She was doing her absolute best to be a good momma. She had nothing to work with but she kept them alive any way. I am literally crying that she has had to go through this.

The little dead puppy broke my heart. She hadn’t been dead for long as she was the same size as the rest. People are the only species so cruel.😢😢

I just picked up a very pregnant momma dog that the people at a local store said had been going up to everyone in the parking lot for at least a month. She was so sweet and clearly desperate I just couldn’t leave her. I took her home and found a rescue to help me and when she went to the vet they said she had at least 5 babies in there. Three days later, this 30 pound dog had 11 puppies! Oh my! And it turned really cold too so I know it wouldn’t have been good if she stayed there. Thank you for helping this momma dog Muffin and her babies, I can tell she really appreciated it!
The situation is horrible, not only the dogs, but that was a nice house once.
Mommy Muffin did a great job, caring for her babies as best she could. It's amazing how she was able to find enough food to produce all that milk for her babies. I hope they all find their forever homes soon!

At least Mamma knew where her babies would be safe from harm and bad weather. I give her credit. I feel bad for the little one that didn't make it. Now they can all be safe and loved in new homes. Thank you for helping all the animals in need.
