    You ever tried to race someone where one of you takes lots of quick stops (every 100km maybe) and one tries to take the fewest stops possible? And maybe one other driver splitting the difference. I'd love to see what a difference that would make.

    Read recently that there is a software update for the cooling issue with the Mach-E. They can apparently be on a massive cooling binge while charging. It should be fixed by Ford now.

    Hi @Bjørn Nyland! Don't trust the trip counter 1 and 2 as only current trip counter show the right values. There must be a bug. I have seen several Videos, where the Mach-e peaks out @ 22kWh/100km and stays there, no matter if you consume more. So, it would be interresting, if you could do some investigation. ;)

    Such an interesting car Ford has released straight out of the ev gate, they did a fantastic job, though it is a little too expensive. I never noticed before how American Norway looks with huge wide motorways, large service centre’s off the motorways and it’s all very car centric. Of course they have well kept infrastructure Americans could only dream of due to Norwegian taxes and oil wealth footing the bill, it is such an interesting place, have to admit I’m a little jealous of how well it’s run. Can’t build or update anything in uk without decades of environmental studies that never even satisfy the environmental lobby no matter what the report says and they inevitably protest, throw paint, dig themselves into tunnels blocking construction so nothing gets built whether it’s a desperately needed airport expansion, a new motorway finally getting built or a train line that should be supported by the environmentalists if they had any logic. Yeah, great car but now I’m just thinking about Norway to be honest

    • @parsave4561
      @parsave4561 3 роки тому

      The saying is: For an American a hundred years is a long time, for an European a hundred miles is a long distance. Here in Sweden/Norway I would say we're leaning a bit to the American side in that matter. At the gas station today I had a Ram 1500 on one side and a Ford F-150 on the other. A sight you wont find in southern Europe (and by southern I mean Germany :D)

    • @markdickson3820
      @markdickson3820 3 роки тому

      @@parsave4561 gods, that is shocking, Ford doesn’t even sell the f-150 in uk anymore (do have ranger fwiw) and ram trucks are kinda available, though it’s a weird low volume setup. Tbf, I suppose Scandinavian countries are very large with populations that are relatively small and with people that are known to enjoy outdoor activities which all fit into American pickup truck marketing. Moving back to Europe a few years ago after living in US for 17 years, they’re just not vehicles I picture when I think of Europe and the roads he was driving on in the video looked more American than European but just impeccably well maintained (& with roundabouts obv). That 100 year/mile saying has a lot of truth to it

    • @parsave4561
      @parsave4561 3 роки тому

      @@markdickson3820 Officially they don’t sell these pickups in Sweden either, but the dealerships import them either way. I couldn’t find any sales statistics for full size trucks in Europe, but by eyeballing it I would say Scandinavia has a ton more trucks than the UK or Germany. Not in any way the amount you will find in the US though.
      Norway and Sweden are like the little USA of Europe in many aspects. The roads here in Sweden resemble the American ones even more so than the Norwegian ones. Our economy got a head start after ww2 (because of reasons 🤐). So car infrastructure really took off in the 50s like it did in the US. The low population density that you mentioned allowed some stretches to be built wide and perfectly straight. Now as they are getting older the quality might not be the greatest. The Norwegian roads are newer and curvier because of all their mountains.
