Never ceases to amaze me how much effort you put into your videos. Good job always having to walking away and walk back for the camera only for our viewing pleasure! Thanks for all your hard work for our entertainment!
i know im asking randomly but does anybody know of a tool to get back into an instagram account?? I stupidly forgot my account password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me!
Your videos are consistently the best in content, narration and photography. Thank you for all the hard work in letting us follow your life. If I ever join your way of life, it will be in another orangey.
I had that thought when Chris pushed his bag with the garmin inreach up out of the way. I was like No, dont do that. But then realized if I’m watching this, he made it. LOL
Yeah, that was Blue John Canyon off the Horshoe Cyn section of Canyonlands NP. I'd really like to see Chris go over to that section and work his way South through the maze - he was VERY close to the start when he was at Goblin Valley near Hanksville.
At 27 years I decided to “go west young man” from my home at the time Pennsylvania. Since then it’s been 38 more years in Colorado, Washington, Oregon, Texas and Arizona. I prefer the western states, but there’s lot of history to explore within those eastern states.
I absolutely admire how you make your videos seem so effortless to do. The countless trips back and forth to set up the camera, then back track to retrieve it. The results are awesome photography and filming. I am so looking forward to my move to St. George. Thanks for showing Utah's incredible sites and playgrounds.
Thanks Chris another great video. The Green River in Dinosaur National Monument is something else and is something you might want to check out. Take care and be safe out there.
We've been to Dinosaur 3 times (2 with kids and once before kidos) and have to say it is a pretty beautiful place! Then again, so is most of Utah/Colorado!
Hi Chris,,I've been watching your videos for about 2 years. The Escalante and Capital Reefs vids were among the 1st. This is the 1st time I've commented. A major thing I appreciate about you,,you never give exact locations and that's how it should be. It's not exploring unless you have to figure things out for yourself. You DO give interesting and helpful tips though,,and that's mostly a good thing. The 1st slick rock trip I took was to Moab in 74,,about a year after reading Desert Solitare for the 1st time. I was 15 and my buddy was 18. We spent a week in Arches and Canyonlands and I've been hooked ever since. I call myself a mountain man,,but I'm just as much a desert rat. This beautiful hike and that grand campsite was why I felt like commenting. What you said about just hanging there an extra night struck me as correct. The desert heals! I've often found a nice rock that soaked up the heat of day,,,and just sat or laid there and watched the sun set and the stars roll in as I enjoyed the warmth of the rock as the evening chilled down. It brings a special calmness to your heart. The Green river is special to me too. I've followed it for very nearly it's full length,,from birth in Wyoming to the confluence. The Natives called it the Seedskadee. Never have heard exactly what that means. I think it's a Shoshone word.. sorry for prattling on. Just wanted to say thanks,,and I think you're one of the few I could camp with. Keep searching man.
I love and now understand all the work you do to create your videos. Now that I have my own channel, I hope someday to be a tenth as good as you. Keep on living the dream Chris, we are along for the ride!
All I could think when you were in that slot canyon was how could I at 5’ navigate those boulders! 🤣 Add that I’m 70 years young: NOT!! But oh how I loved the experience through your adventure. THANK YOU!!
Kudos to you for taking on that amazing hike. That being said, if you had taken a fall or otherwise became incapacitated in that slot canyon, your GPS/safety device would have made a good paperweight. You would have been SOL. We all have to take chances in this life though...much respect.
As always, thanks for sharing and I always learn something from your videos. My wife I spent the day and night getting lost in the back woods of the Sierra Nevada's yesterday. I find that when on trail is closed it was meant to be because you will find and epic adventure right around the corner.
Another great video, Chris. I will be leaving to annual Trail Fest in middle Tennessee later this week. My brother and I explored several western states last year and found all of them fascinating. Now that we are both retired, I/we hope to go again next year.
With Chris' love of 80's TV shows, I'm sure Chris carries two more things in his Jeep, duct tape & a Swiss Army knife. Good luck on your next adventure. Be safe.
You should definitely take the opportunity to stay & poke around more often. Also, just a little extra research might mean you could find some of the places you've been ever so close to but missed. All Trails is great for this as well. Avenza also has the classic DeLorme Gazetteer and Benchmark Atlas for $20 each. While I like having the paper copy with me, you can't beat how Avenza puts that blue dot right where you are at on the map.
Really nice the collaboration video. It will be good to see more. Maybe consider the @Epicfamilyroadtrip. They have two Jeep’s and they pretty much live in them. Nice camping spot really good views. Thank you!
Another perfect video! I love your cinematography, you not only get great subject matter but you film it in interesting and unique ways. The result is gorgeous videos that inspire me to get out more. Thank you for sharing your experiences with me. (Yes, I do believe that you do all of this just for me) 😎
4:00 I just received my Blue Ridge Overland Gear Tool bag a week or two ago. It's great! Amazing just how much I can fit in it. More tools than I'll likely ever need, but they are there if needed. Six compartments all neatly labeled and organized for quick and easy access.
Ha! I saw your jeep parked at the Hotel in Green River! Should've turned around and put a note on your door. I was down in the San Rafael Swell hoping to run into you.
video of you driving through the landscape from inside dash cam is awesome ... reminds me of my own adventures ... and you don't have to keep setting up and then go back and get the cam... Oh if you are down by St George Ut. you should call "Mats off road recovery" to pull you out of something ... or at least stop by and get a hat or t-shirt!... "Fab Rats" is there too ...
Really good video! I would suggest Peru for two main reasons: You would pass through some other beautiful countries on the way,. Secondly I live here and can give you some help on where to go and stay very reasonably.
Great channel, love the (ad)ventures. We always look forward to seeing them pop up. Could you poll your subscribers for a better name for that orange Jeep? I mean, I suck at coming up with names for vehicles too (no idea what to call my yellow cj7) but I'm sure there are some really creative folks on this channel.
Much like hiking the AT, or other epic trails, you soon find out exactly what you need and don't need when you overland. Over time, I have noticed that any change to your gear is studied closely before a decision is made. Once the kit is fine tuned, it tends to remain the same.
As usual your vid was amazing! That patch also looks awesome! Your videos always make me want my own Jeep. One day Ill be able to see these beautiful places my self. Question for you. Have you been to Fantasy Canyon in Vernal Utah? It looks amazing in pictures.
Hey there, we like your philosophy of preventative maintenance for Orange-y. Our preference too! Rather not bring a lot of fluids and parts that will take up precious space. By chance, did you upgrade to an AGM battery? If so, which brand? We are currently exploring Grand Staircase Escalante but plan on visiting Green River as well. Mahalo for awesome video!
I thought you ditched the tembo tusk Scottle a couple of years ago in your PA storage. Interesting that you’re carrying it now but we never see you use it…
Hi Chris, love your vids. We meet last year (briefly) in Colorado. Quick question, I just put a roof rack on my JK and wanted to know what type of door hinge steps you have for easy access to your rig. I’ve been looking online but can’t find similar ones I like. Thanks and keep on Jeepin on.
An absolute requirement for slot canyon hiking in the SW is watch the weather. You do not want to be in a canyon if there is any chance of rain in the region.
BREATHTAKING BEAUTY AS ALWAYS CHRIS ! GORGEOUS WEATHER SCENERY COLORS VIEWS LANDSCAPE & FOOTAGE ! GLAD YOU MADE IT THROUGH THE CANYON WASN'T SURE SOMETIMES . THE GREEN RIVER WAS BEAUTIFUL FROM UP ABOVE THE CANYON ! DO YOU HAVE A NEW POT OR PAN IN THE JEEP ? BE SAFE ! HAVE FUN ! GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS ON 🙏 YOUR JOURNEYS ! ENJOYED 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨
Why not say WHERE you are in your videos, it seems like you often don't anymore. Kevin and Sarah used to live in NM, you're obviously not in NM and since we no longer watch them (for our own reasons) we have no idea where they are, and does everyone? Ps. Orangey.. No :(
Reminded me of that movie 127 hours. Glad it wasn't a sequel
I can't tell you how much I enjoy these videos you make every week. Please keep 'em coming.
@Larry Alan Instablaster :)
I’m going to make a notification tone out of the sound of that pan that bangs when you bank right lol
Lol
That sound would drive nuts...lol
Your videos are consistently the best in content, narration and photography. Thank you for all the hard work in letting us follow your life. If I ever join your way of life, it will be in another orangey.
. Getting back to the roots in this vid. Keep it coming
That route along the Green River was breath taking
Stunning & beautiful location! Thank you for taking us there!
Great episode! I loved the slot canyon footage! Just be careful as I was having flash backs to the Aron Ralston movie as you were climbing out.
Exactly, I was thinking the same. Wonder if he checked the forecast prior to that slot canyon hike ?? Should be the first thing you do.
Good that Chris is always well prepared and has it’s inreach always around him. Aron didn’t.
I can't help but think of the guy who had to severe his own arm with a Swiss Army pocket knife when a falling boulder trapped him in a slot canyon!
I love seeing pics and videos of the Green River.
livin' the life, chris. we love utah, so much beauty & off-road fun...
I love your videos. Always looking forward to them. Thanks
I love! Love! Loved! The first five minute overview of your gear. Takes a lot of the guess work out for newbs like myself.🇨🇦👍
Consistent high quality videos week after week. Awesome job Chris !!
Utah adventures are never ending. Thanks for sharing.
Epic wipes are amazing
One of your best vids ever. Great scenery! Great colors. Great vibe :) Keep on truckin!
Your ability to be alone and happy is inspiring.
At 27 years I decided to “go west young man” from my home at the time Pennsylvania. Since then it’s been 38 more years in Colorado, Washington, Oregon, Texas and Arizona. I prefer the western states, but there’s lot of history to explore within those eastern states.
What do u drive?
@@conniewaite1996 currently my wife and I own three MINI Coopers. Eventually they’ll be a Jeep.
Right on!
@@hughwolfe1176 that's what I have!
Watching you climb around that slot canyon made me think of Aron Ralston.
Brilliant Video Chris.
Great video. I love your setup.
Epic views! Orangey is almost camoed in that landscape.
I absolutely admire how you make your videos seem so effortless to do. The countless trips back and forth to set up the camera, then back track to retrieve it. The results are awesome photography and filming. I am so looking forward to my move to St. George. Thanks for showing Utah's incredible sites and playgrounds.
Put that garmin on your belt instead of your backpack. Safe travels🤘🏻
Great episode thanks Chris
Thanks Chris, I need to rest my legs after that hike. Your friend in Pennsylvania. Bob
Thanks Chris another great video. The Green River in Dinosaur National Monument is something else and is something you might want to check out. Take care and be safe out there.

Except he does give you his exact location...if you pay for it
Thank you , hApPy exploring. Can't wait until next week.
Amazing country, great video Chris. Has to be top 5 shows that you have created.
Excellent video, Chris!
I love and now understand all the work you do to create your videos. Now that I have my own channel, I hope someday to be a tenth as good as you. Keep on living the dream Chris, we are along for the ride!
Awesome Chris ! I loved this...so cool! Thank you! 🥾🥾
All I could think when you were in that slot canyon was how could I at 5’ navigate those boulders! 🤣 Add that I’m 70 years young: NOT!! But oh how I loved the experience through your adventure. THANK YOU!!
Beautiful scenery! Great camera work and i enjoy traveling virtually with you! Thank you!
Somehow, you remind me of Mr. Rogers. Maybe, it's the slow, deliberate cadence in your speech. Anyway, love the videos.
Good observation!
Mmmm, must download Avenza. Thanks for the tip!

This is very true, the InReach needs line of site view to the satellite.
Chris, one thing is for sure.. You are squeezing all the juice out of that Coleman stove!...
獨自旅行,探索荒野,樂趣多多。
Outstanding video Chris. Utah is a spectacular state. Spent (2) weeks there in my FJ Cruiser in '08. From Zion, to Canyonlands it is just incredible.
Another great video Chris! See ya next week!

Well done Chris! From the spring cleaning and gear review to the amazing footage, great video!
Keep on keeping on Chris
Great Video Chris!!
Great video thank you!
💯🚐 Great video, thanks for the great information. Appreciate your videos very much 🏕
With Chris' love of 80's TV shows, I'm sure Chris carries two more things in his Jeep, duct tape & a Swiss Army knife. Good luck on your next adventure. Be safe.
Gorgeous place to be. And will remind me to drop a pin on truck site every time I go hiking this summer!

No offense to the other states but Utah has got to be the best adventure state. Ok maybe Alaska number 1.
Great outing!
Good video. 👍🏻
Dude, you killed the burgers with the ketchup!!! Mayo all day!!!! Lol..
Really nice the collaboration video. It will be good to see more. Maybe consider the @Epicfamilyroadtrip. They have two Jeep’s and they pretty much live in them. Nice camping spot really good views. Thank you!
I never seen Chris use the Skottle...must be a sponsor thing

Me hizo acordar de la película 127 hs. Ten cuidado por favor. Nunca vayas sólo.

One of the places in the world where Orangie is camouflaged.
Great times, P e a c e

Looks like scenes from “The Martian”. Was waiting on Matt Damon to pull up in the Mars rover....

Dude! I would be constantly thinking of 127 and freaking myself out. I guess with technology today such as the Garmin, I bet this wouldn't happen.
Nice sir
Clean waste portable toilet?? I thought that was the coffee table? Huh my bad 😂
It’s both!
Wow! 🤠🤙🏻

Looks like someone got a new camera toy, haven't noticed the slow panning while the camera is on a tripod before.
I didn't think you were carrying the scottle any more. We haven't seen any culinary creations in some time...
I would love to see a bag of Pizza Rolls being tossed around in it..
Thanks Chris. I transferred the ARB tire repair kit into a rugged pouch, i find the case too bulky and cannot be molded into a nook.
Look into a new stove.. Technology has changed!
Hi Chris, love your vids. We meet last year (briefly) in Colorado. Quick question, I just put a roof rack on my JK and wanted to know what type of door hinge steps you have for easy access to your rig. I’ve been looking online but can’t find similar ones I like. Thanks and keep on Jeepin on.
when Chis showed where he stows his clothes all I could think of was: "my undies dude, laundry ..the whites"
Walter
The bridge of doom. Whats your favorite color/ (colour?) What's the airspeed velocity of a unladen swallow?
Blue.....no yelloarrrrrrrg!
And one bin dedicated to cheez its.
How about a contest to name your Jeep. "Orangey" is just not right.
An absolute requirement for slot canyon hiking in the SW is watch the weather. You do not want to be in a canyon if there is any chance of rain in the region.
Nice
Top 👏
A little bit far of a hike for us ,
Dude if your Jeep was a mile and a half away I guarantee you wouldn’t see it, you were probably pretty close on the 3/4 mile guess.
He was talking about “as the crow flies” versus “as the Chris walks”. 😄

Great video, but “Orangey”? I don’t know. “The Jeep” might be better.
Do you carry an axe Chris?

I agree entirely, would be so interested to know where he is travelling through on these off roads.
👌👌👌🇵🇹🇵🇹🇵🇹🇵🇹
Looks like someone is reading the comments now, wonder who that is ?? Call me a sceptic ??
Love your videos but your diet will eventually catch up with you...and it won’t be good!
