Thanks Chris, please do not become complacent about the fact you are traveling alone, and ease up on the risk taking. I wish to continue watching your films. Happy trails .Stevie.
Great video, Chris! My wife walked in while I was watching your channel and says, “see you’re going to watch this and want to go explore, right?” I reply with, “no, I’m watching this and getting inspired to explore, but not being able to”. 😕 I need to make it a point to take a week or two off worn to be me, head into the unknown to lose my mind and find my soul.
"I'm trying to eat better." *Proceeds to smash a dirt bag pork quesadilla and the usual family size bag of cheese-its*. U the man Chris, it's not a Saturday without a video from Shontz.
Several years ago I canoed from Green River to Mineral Bottoms where those switchbacks are. My wife drove our van full of kids, towing the canoe trailer down those switchbacks to pick us up. She has never forgiven me. Chris, I love your videos.
Chris, we need our fix earlier... we don't get out of bed until watch your video.... here it is 11:15 and we are still in bed. We need to get moving..... It is now 1:00 and still in bed.....
We visited that same food truck in August -- found a shady spot in the gravel lot under the trees! Great food. I have been watching your videos and realized I was also thru hiking the timberline trail when you were in the Mt. Hood area. Earlier this summer we (our family in a 4x4 Suburban w/ RTT) were about 2 weeks behind you as you came up thru Colorado. Your channel is great Chris, you appear to be a hard worker and do a super job with your productions! Your home state of Pennsylvania has some incredible state forests as well. I have been blessed to ride motorcycles on long camping trips from my home state of South Carolina to Maine using some of the backcountry routes thru those areas. If you are ever in Georgia/South Carolina area, you might give the Georgia Traverse a try -- I think there are many offshoots from that trail that could be explored.
Great video of Canyonlands. I was able to spend 4 days & 3 nights on White Rim Road.... it's magical. My next adventure will be The Maze. Looking forward to your adventures. Just subscribed.
@@scott9752 That’s awesome, I am about to change my name on here and my social media accounts and when I get me overlanding rig next year, I plan on sharing my adventures on UA-cam, it’s been a dream of mine for about 5 years now. I’ll be 21 by then so I am excited to start young and start exploring.
Wow, what great vistas and views as always. Kind of the usual presentation, but this vid seems to have upped your cinematography a fair bit. More and more enjoyable every time!
You portrayed the quiet wilderness very well and something to be cherished. I've been visiting Moab in the Spring and Fall for over 30 years, mostly mountain biking. Never get tired of it, always something new to see.
Chris you know you're not only going to give your Dad a stroke with being so close to them Cliff Edge's. Thanks for doing these vlogs, most of us feel as if we're there with you. 3:55 sees crack & where your parked. Nope Nope Nopity Nope Nope DUDE!!!!
Thanks for riding down memory lane for me, Chris! I use to ride my touring bike (Yamaha) up there from Phoenix. I would love to move and live in the Moab area. You scare me sometimes, Chris, like holding onto your back door just skirting the edge of a cliff. However, what's life without a little risk. Who's that crazy kid who always would say, "I laugh in the face of danger!" Gotta remember to try one of those Dirt Bag Quesadillas.
Thank you for your videos! I decided it was time to stop freeloading and become a patreon supporter. We were out in Moab a week earlier and wish we would have spied your first campsite there! Looked great!!
Just started watching your videos a few months ago and after a few I went to the beginning when you first started.. absolutely amazing! Now have my 5 year old son watching along with me and he loves them as well.. slowly getting my jeep setup to do some over landing and so far we have 1 camping trip in it under our belts and really enjoyed it. Now not only do I want to see some of the places you've been now my sin does to.. so thanks for not giving up and we thank you for your videos..
Excellent as always. Looking forward to seeing the service on the Jeep... I know... "what?". I'm just interested to see how it's held up. Thanks for keeping a portion of your videos dedicated to food. Both cooking and the restaurants you visit. We enjoy that. Thanks!
This has been my favourite video, primarily because I have spent many trips hiking and camping(tent not RV etc) and off roading throughout the whole four corners areas. Utah is my very favourite State and Moab my favourite town . I have driven the old potash road and down the Shafer Trail with all those switchbacks you briefly showed and the whole of the white rim trail. Not for the faint hearted, particularly if you suffer from vertigo. I'm an English oldtimer who misses that wonderful red rock country. Also an avid member of the former Edward Abbey clan.
Chris, the effort you put into your vids really pays off, and this one was no exception. The clarity of your shots, combined with the spectacular scenery, and your artistic eye make each vid consecutively better and better. You also seem to have a knack for timing; no shots too long or short. Keep up the great work, and thank you very much!
Hmmm, soft spot for the quesadilla truck, did you just show us your new lady friend? Great vid, the beginning could have been a commercial for Jeep or Ursa Minor.
Be in moab in 4 or 5 days... @ Golden gate bridge now... Still got my 93 yr old grandfather with me... Never know? May run into you again someday... if so you owe me a proper interview. Enjoy yourself and safe travels!
Hi Chris you have a nice cap, I have the same LOL. is a great adventure is a place i would go since many years. I'm from Quebec and is very far. Continue your great work.
Hello Chris, your videos ars the best I look forward to them every week! On your window check your harness and look for spots that might bend every time your door opens and closes. Look for broken or damaged wires. Might still be an easy fix. Good luck. Look forward to more videos.
Just got in from there. Delores triangle, The Needles and 2 nights at Devils Kitchen, then back country via beef basin to The Maze, and two nights at The Doll House. Flint over to Robbers Roost and some wild mesa's. Explored the Burr Desert. 20 days combing the area. Go there often and never tired of it. Luckily just 7 hours from home (a little West of Denver) to Moab.
Dude, been sub’ing your channel for a LONG time and this is the first time I feel compelled to comment. EPIC episode! The golden hour shots of the canyon and your Jeep setup were fantastic. Living your best life for sure! Keep up the great content! Thanks from all of us armchair explorers!
My wife’s Jeep (Firecracker)lives vicariously through your Jeep (Orangie). Although last winter, she did crest a terrifying speed bump in the mall parking lot.
I love these videos Chris! Makes me miss my bright orange JK and living in Moab. The couple that owns doughbird also owns Moab Garage Co, they were the nicest people I dealt with and the food is great!
Amazing Chris! I stayed in MOAB for a night before visiting dead Horse Point last year. Amazing place. I had to watch this twice, safe travels and continue on the health eating my friend :)
So unwilling to risk treacherous trails in the Jeep and yet kid bending around that tailgate was ok lol...that was a surprise...out of character. Enjoyed it though as usual.
Awesome video this week. I really have an idea in my head of a whole Utah adventure through all the national parks all backroad with camping. I will one day.
Love your channel! Can you explain at some point how you use Gaia GPS to find campsites, especially dispersed, that are open when you are searching (lots of our campsites in Colorado close Sept-Oct for winter). Keep on being awesome!
Chris this is a great start to V11. Absolutely addicted to your channel, although still catching up on your older videos. I’ve got about a year left to totally catch up. It’s strange going from pre mask to mask videos, makes me think they’re shootings an old time western with bank robbers... Stay safe out there
Chris, send me link to your merch site. Love the truckers hat. Love your videos and your content. Keep it coming. Wife and I watch you regularly. Keep exploring and don’t give up.
Thanks Doug! All soldd out for now (which blows my mind) but keep an eye over at overlandstyle.com/collections/venture4wd. I'll try to announce over on my Patreon page first, here and on my other public-facing channels after that :).
Dang bro, that’s a lot of chicken to be eating at one time, you don’t need to eat better you need to eat less, love your adventures. Thanks for the ride along
Broke down in moab back in the 80s i was in a semi hauling a oversized load. The people there are amazingly friendly and helpful. Ill never forget their hospitality.
Awesome Chris. I am still following along all your adventures and hope to be out that way in the near future. Thanks for the great videos and keep them coming!!
Moab is awesome. Been there twice, the last time with our Jeep for the 2019 Easter Jeep Safari. Love It. Safe Travels and God Bless. PS: Dixie 4x4 just south of town can fix that passenger side window and any other issues you may have.
Robbers Roost Canyon not far away where, back in the days, the Wild Bunch used gold coins as their poker chips. Spectacular scenery there as well, but I'd be searching for lost gold coins in the dust🤣😂
Hi Chris. Thought you might like to watch LTVL site where he went thru MOAB you should get one of those DJI Mavic Air cameras Wish I knew how to drive and fly that thing at the same time.
Thanks Chris, please do not become complacent about the fact you are traveling alone, and ease up on the risk taking. I wish to continue watching your films.

Excellent photography. I’m amazed at your ability to get photos of your driving. Great movie! Well done.

Dont forget the doughnuts lol
At least he’s not putting ketchup on hot dogs!
I love that every video has a comment thread relating to Chris’ diet!
Awesome. Thanks for taking us along

Beautiful! Love Utah!
This is one of your best episodes and one of the prettiest! The views were amazing from here.
Beautiful pictures
First photo in opening with Jeep and sun was epic👍
MOAB looks really epic...as does those Quesadillas
Moab is on my wishlist
Some of my favorite scenery so far. Very unique.
My stomach did a couple flip flops when you walked behind your jeep with the tail gate open.
thought that too, and at night no less
Chris is a professional people
I had to go back and watch what I missed. 😳
I did a double take as well....I would’ve taken the other way around the Jeep!
Slick sand there- I was reallyy hoping that wasn’t a cliff drop off behind him !

Love the wave in the headlight.
Just there last month. Love Moab.
Stunning as always Chris!
Those views are amazing! Great video as always. Your camera work was particularly spot-on and inventive. Keep venturing and stay safe.
Chris how about a broken wire in the door jam? Constant flexing while opening the doors finally breaks them!
