Replace the shocks. You're at the shop now. Also I would get a set of wheels with proper offsets and ditch the spacers. Added weight not needed and adds to wear on other components.
Yep replace those shock now not in near future they already leak badly. And spacers are the worst product made for car one they are not safe ( you cannot know if the bolts are loos until you take wheels off) and they wear heavily on bearings...
When I was a child we lived in the desert. I remember times when there was no rain where I was at, yet a flash flood would appear suddenly. Those canyon washes can be dangerous.
oz of prevention for sure.. Best to check 'upstream' shower forecasts for 10-20 miles away unless you can scramble up vertical walls too. Same thing with higher elevations & thunder storms. A "bolt out of the blue" can strike from 10 miles away & has been documented.

I haven’t been to Sedona in 4 or 5 years. It’s beautiful. Haven’t been to Grand Canyon in 10 years. I really need to get back out there (from Michigan) and you’ve given me the urge to do so.
I have a set of 4 Bilstein take offs that you are welcome to. They have a few thousand miles on them, but no leaking. They are located in my shop here in St George. They were on a JKU with a 3.5" AEV lift, so I think they would be a good fit for your Jeep. Let me know, and they are yours. We can arrange to ship them, or rendezvous somewhere in the area. It always seems like I’m a week behind you or a week ahead of you on adventures. My wife and I were wheeling around Flagstaff , Mexican Hat, Hurricane and Moab 2-3 weeks ago. Great off season weather without the crowds. Beautiful areas to explore!
Fantastic locations. I am loving Arizona more and more because of your channel, Chris. NOTE: replace the shocks!! I did the same on my jacked up F150 and it was a massive mistake. Take good care of Orangey!
Glad you got the windshield replaced, i noticed the crack at most video's, here in our province you can get a ticket for that, being unsafe while driving.
Finally! A new windshield... the amazing views up front are so much clearer. Always love following your adventures and the awesome content you deliver with each video. Safe travels Chris... I would also anchor down the pots and pans in the jeep as they were clinging through much of the interior footage👌
Great Vid Chris. I love the Red Rocks. Only live about 40 miles(as the crow flies) from Sedona. Saw your Jeep setting at Summit the last time it was there. Would like to say Hi, but knew you were not there. Safe travels.
I am always envious of the places you travel through but this episode was exceptional. The landscape was amazing!! I think your Jeep does very well mechanically for the amount of miles and where you drive. Can’t wait for the next episode.
Sedona is spectacular. It was always my favorite camping area whenever I did the motorcycle camping tour on Highway 89 from Prescott up to Flagstaff. I don't know if you came across any desert areas out there in Sedona but I always felt a strange sensation in spots out there, something to do with Native American rituals in generations past. Nothing tangible, just an eerie feeling. If you feel playful and like sliding down smooth river rocks, Slide Rock is not too far up Hwy 89 towards Flagstaff. The Air Force had a camp resort at Fort Tuthill just off of Hwy 89A and the cabins there are pretty cool. Yeah, I couldn't help noticing your hamburger patty was bleeding from the sides. I use my cell phone alarm or timer when I cook meats in camp and it works pretty good in reaching the desired taste and temperature.
I feel the same way! We get a little more with each episode. Excited to see her and hope she enjoys your company in person as much as we enjoy your company on our TV!
I'm still betting it's one of the two ladies in his favorite quesadilla truck in Moab. Go to his vid V11E1: Moab Off the Beaten Path and check out the end of the vid at 19:40. I think he gave us a shot of her there.
@@earthangel8730 yes, I know. Can't Shannon take time off w her dog and do some traveling w Chris? Shannon may own the quesadilla truck, and have her employees run it while she's gone? I'm guessing it's someone from the mountain states, or west side of the country as opposed to someone say from Pennsylvania. Chris's affection for the quesadilla truck just got me thinking is all:)

Yea, I would eliminate those spacers, I did on mine. They were okay but not having them is one less thing to go wrong. And replace the shocks while you're there. Although you're probably gone by now (Sat 1/28). Love that area, my Mom was born just up the road a few miles from there, almost 100 years ago. I started buying those bacon cheddar burgers after seeing them in these videos. They're great. I reserve them for camping only. Picking those up are a weird little exciting thing for me as I go to the store on the way out for a weekend trip.
Makes sense for camping, no need to have extra cheese for a burger since it gets cooked within a couple of days. I liked that shot of you cooking & eating that burger when you had been out of the back country for the holidays. Great meal outdoors with incredible scenery, satisfying as a life spent traveling overland & shared. 👍👍👍

Hi Chris, enjoyed another Red Rock country tour. I know the area well. Camped at Lee's Ferry 4 times over many years, that the official one overlooking the Colorado that is. Love Flagstaff but grown enormously since my first visit in 1992. The ride to Sedona down Oak Creek Canyon is dramatic, you didn't mention that section, any reason why ?
