I had to laugh when you started making spaghetti. I’m eating the very same thing as I watch this video. I started full time overlanding in my 2020 Rubicon with Ursa Minor camper top about two months ago. Thanks for the inspiration. Best decision I’ve ever made.
always a great episode when you take a few minutes to mentor and share experience with optional components for others. An essential part of this platform is helping others on their journeys and you do that very well. Kudos! I have been following since the beginning and wouldn't miss an episode.
Another incredible footage with very new and great cam angles. Every time I see your pictures, I am magically drawn into this unique landscape. I think you cannot be grateful enough to live every day anew, surely in one of the most wonderful and beautiful countries and landscapes on earth. Besides, the short beard suits you, somehow makes you younger. :)
Tuesday through Thursday again ... sort of miss the old days when it really felt like Chris was bringing you along to explore North America ... feels a bit more “forced” now but hopefully w/the move to the Revel full time maybe they will Venture4wd more than a days drive from Denver ... fingers crossed as this is the best UA-cam channel out there ...
The only constant known in history, is change. All channels evolve, but I know exactly what you are saying. I just take them as they are, and when they go too large, I just move along and find new interests.
I've watched almost all your episodes Chris and you'd think you'd have ten times the amount of subscribers! Some channels are complete garbage and they have way to many 🙄. Well at least you have quality subscribers not quantity 😉. Keep up the good work buddy!!!
I recognized Rose Garden Hill in the video. I was there about 8 yrs ago, in a group of 9 vehicles & a dirt biker started up the hill while we were reconning the trail. He only went up about 100 feet & turned around & wished us luck. We had spotters & it made all the difference. The trail is rated about 8 most years & I still had damage to my Jeep, but we all made it. Personally, I think you made a wise choice to not go alone. It never makes sense to beat up your vehicle & possibly breakdown when you are that far away from any assistance.
I don't know whether it's the cooking, the rain, the remarks on Orangy or the updated cam angles or the absolutely stunning greenery in the desert. But I felt like this is the best video you posted so far 😍
I’ve been following you for quite some time now. I look forward to seeing where you have been each week. There are two things I really appreciate about your videos: 1) complete reality/honesty. 2) No music. I love it that you don’t pollute your videos with music. The sound of nature is a treasure. Don’t get me wrong, I like music that is soothing and appropriate for the video. But some UA-camrs just over do it with loud, mind numbing noise. So, I just mute them or quit watching them. Anyway, you are doing a great job! THANK YOU!
Don't be disappointed. Discretion is the better part of valor i.e. don't be unduly reckless or stupid. You made the right decision to not attempt that climb. It would've been a fool's errand. Yet another great adventure video. Thank you.
You are like watching "Mr. Rogers and his adventures with Orangie". I have seen every one of your videos, followed you for years, enjoyed your content & effort you put into each video, and anxiously look forward to each & every upcoming video. Thank you.
just back from Moab and Escalate, never seen so many people, Ranger said it was the busiest weekend ever, first time we used BLM for a camp site and wasn't disappointed
Yep...great follow..see you lost both glasses n beard...like the Jeep into too.. food..spaghetti..just made some tonight..but when you poured it out ..I realized I need a larger trough..or plate..Colorado n Utah are two areas that seem to agree with you..so go do something fun today and thanks
Wow, I thought that slip at 6:40 was going to result in a boulder sized dent in the passenger door. Whew! That would have been an interesting recovery.
Beautiful landscape views and great cinematography. When youtube overlanders team up with other YT overlanders something of the uniquely personal format is diminished. Glad your back on your own. Looking forward to seeing tandem travel with Shannon. “Keep on tracking!”
I’ve learned so much watching you I agree with the longer fuel tank I added one to my F2 50 I now have 60 gallons online with a 3 inch lift and I can go over 1000 miles easily and I never have to worry when I’m in the back country now about running out of fuel another awesome video this week this one was definitely one of my favorites Chris
Hey Chris, this is one of my favorite episodes and very inspiring. Now I have yet another place on my list that I have discovered from your channel. Keep up the great work and thank you.
Chris, we have the same culinary tastes, and the same idea of what constitutes "one portion". We can never travel together. We'd be dead within a week.
Fantastic opening shot!! Love those rich textures and shapes of that wood. And good call at 5:30 -- steep loose rocky terrain like is for groups with multiple recovery options. Noting those epic campsites for my summer trip west.
Awesome video this week Chris! Loved some of the different camera angles! Look forward to seeing the tandem travel coming up and how you work that into the flow!
I'm looking forward to future videos where you will incorporate your soon to be wife and children. Its been great watching you evolve over the years. Thank you.
Amazing country and the videography summed it up nicely. From the camera angle at 4:40 +/- it looks like the passenger door almost got a modification. Keep up the fantastic videos!
The countryside there is just gorgeous you don't get that up here in Canada that kind of train but it was a good journey looking forward to your next one. 👍👍😀🇨🇦🔥☕
My brother and I were at the base of the Henry mountains when that storm came through on Monday night. Cloud, windy and sleet. But it was a great week out there
Beautiful! Beautiful country! That panoramic view at 16:20 was phenomenal. You needed more spaghetti on your plate, Chris. My comfort food...just made a huge pot of it this afternoon. I love heating it up throughout the week. I mix it up with Trader Joe's microwave meals especially the Indian cuisine such as Tikka Marsala Chicken, curried dishes.
Chris another weeks adventure is under the belt. Interesting area you traversed, love to explore it myself some day. Your completely correct about getting out there to explore, I need to lower my want list to be more in line with the needs list and then start shopping for that Jeep I’ve wanted… If Shannon will be traveling with you shouldn’t she make an appearance beyond the occasional shadow and some hands cooking.
@@lyndadentry1833 Take something so pure and so beautiful and complicating it to try to make it fit into somewhere that you think it should. I might have taken that a few steps to far but, yeah Lynda I agree with you.
Next time your with a group try their different tire gauges to see which is more accurate the Jeep dash gauge or the hand gauge. Worst case scenario is that everyone's gauge is off. LOL! Good video. 👍🏻
Another vlog with spectacular footage and scenery. I’m working towards being able to live the same lifestyle. It’s going to happen. Maybe not this year, but I’m definitely working on it. Life is too short to not pursue one’s dreams...
Chris-- had to point out that i was in Camping world yesterday and there is a 'Venture Forward' brand rocking camp chair there. I couldn't help but think of you!
I don’t see one and if you don’t have one you really need a ham radio in your Jeep. Not only would it give you more reliable secondary communications, but the National service broadcast local weather on amateur radio frequencies all across the US. For example in Utah there are 17 broadcasting stations and in Colorado there are 29. Only using 7 different frequencies its easy to find a station nearby most of the time.
Current temperature where I live is in mid 30's (celcius)( hot &dry). So watching this episode really cooled 🌧️ me off by few degrees 👍. Also, for a moment I was a bit worried for the camera under the jeep hitting a rock 😁.
What I really like about you is the fact my wife will drop everything to come watch with me. Best there is. Thanks
I started watching your channel when the pandemic started. I binged watched every episode. Now I’m hooked.
Welcome to the club!!
@Christine Ayres there’s no match to his content
I had to laugh when you started making spaghetti. I’m eating the very same thing as I watch this video. I started full time overlanding in my 2020 Rubicon with Ursa Minor camper top about two months ago. Thanks for the inspiration. Best decision I’ve ever made.
You videography skills captures the crystal clear vivid colors of the quiet landscapes that make me want more. 🌵🏜️☀️
I like those camera angles on Orangie this week.
always a great episode when you take a few minutes to mentor and share experience with optional components for others. An essential part of this platform is helping others on their journeys and you do that very well. Kudos! I have been following since the beginning and wouldn't miss an episode.
Out of all the adventure channels I follow you have the most epic one!! Adventure on!!

That first turn around was the back way to top of the world. Been there turned around too.
I have to tell you I really like the way you narrate your videos
Thank you Chris for sharing not only your dream but ours as well.

@@jcoats5529 I agree! I'm one province over 😆. I got a gladiator that could link up too. It's the wild west up here
You should write a book about all your travels, campsites, and Overlanding.

Wow, that is some nice scenery there
As long as orangie is the focus of the channel it will do great. But looking forward to seeing more of the van as well.
".....time to get this show on the road." Literally.
Great episode, the trim looks much better IMO.
I don't know whether it's the cooking, the rain, the remarks on Orangy or the updated cam angles or the absolutely stunning greenery in the desert. But I felt like this is the best video you posted so far 😍

I enjoy watching the videos
And here I thought the Kokopelli trail was a,non motorized trail. Learn something new with every video Chris. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Absolutely gorgeous country!
Beautiful postcard views! Thank you for sharing.
Loved it!! And fyi... you look younger with the trim.... wondering though if Shannon likes it? Keep rollin, loving the scenery.

Chris plus Utah a great match. Looking forward to seeing the tandem next week.
I was critical of the video 2 weeks ago, thought it was “just ok.” Now this 20:20 is why I’m subscribed! Hope to follow this track one day. Well done!
Another Great video Chris. I particularly enjoyed the additional Jeep action camera placements.
Chris, I think you missed putting the camera in the glove box...🤣. Seriously, love this episode and I haven’t even finished it yet. Be safe!
Absolutely love your content Chris! The opening sequence here is beautiful.
just back from Moab and Escalate, never seen so many people, Ranger said it was the busiest weekend ever, first time we used BLM for a camp site and wasn't disappointed
Ahh Rose Garden Hill. Super technical and remote. Came down it once, not back up! Good stuff Chris.
Chris, another great video, thank you! Our family always loves sharing your adventures on Saturdays.
Hello, another great video. Thank. Is always good to getup in the morning and be graceful. Keep enjoying your life.
Good job on building the campfire. Tinder, Kindling & Fuel
It’s always better to err on the side of safety......especially traveling solo. Good call in my book.
Thanks Chris. I can’t wait for the adventure ahead. Your friend in Pennsylvania. Bob

Wow, I thought that slip at 6:40 was going to result in a boulder sized dent in the passenger door. Whew!
That would have been an interesting recovery.
You really have a great eye for photography.
The A+ campsite with the south facing cliffs and the La Sals in the backdrop, I've camped there and you are right, it is a spectacular campsite.
Beautiful landscape views and great cinematography. When youtube overlanders team up with other YT overlanders something of the uniquely personal format is diminished. Glad your back on your own. Looking forward to seeing tandem travel with Shannon.

The Mr Rodgers of overlanding.
Camera angles are stellar.
7:23 i want that framed in my living room!

The quality you put out is amazing! I love the pace and detail you put into it.
As always great photography. This episode I notice more audio detail in the small sounds, love it.
Know your limits. Your driving your home. Be safe. 2 or more vehicles, send it! Love the sound effects.

The road is too steep, you did a great job!
Love new new inclinometer,
but as another Christopher famously said "needs a little more Cowbell".
Hello Chris.
Love the new camera angles. As always thanks for sharing.
See you next week buddy.
Another great video!!! Love the clean cut beard style too.... keep it.
You are on part of the Kokopelli Trail and that hill climb there is called Rose Garden Hill. Absolutely beautiful trail!
So.....will we officially be introduced to Shannon?
Love your channel. The scenery is beautiful. Have a great day 😀
Awesome video this week Chris! Loved some of the different camera angles! Look forward to seeing the tandem travel coming up and how you work that into the flow!
We have ran the trail some years back but from Fruita, CO. Enjoy your videos, hope to see you on our travels one day.
Chris, when will we see more of the van?? Your vlogs is what we look forward to ever weekend!!

Should have went for it brah Matt's off road recovery would come pull you out that would be to funny lol
Chris has gone gourmet on us this week! “Pure spinach goodness“
Great video. Fun, lighthearted, interesting, informative. This is the kind of story that made me subscribe in the first place.

I am jealous of your adventures and lifestyle. I wish I could do the same but I can not so I will live through your outings. See you next week.
Good call on bailing with Rose Garden Hill. Trying to go up that solo when it's wet would have put you in a bad spot.
Next time your with a group try their different tire gauges to see which is more accurate the Jeep dash gauge or the hand gauge. Worst case scenario is that everyone's gauge is off. LOL! Good video. 👍🏻

Beautiful photography, have you ever thought about doing a bloopers roll? Thanks Chris 😎👍
Great video, Manti, UT is pronounced Man-tie..🙂
Safe travels 🙏🏻👍👍🍺
You should post your GPS coords. Also if your alone carry a satellite emergency beacon.

Thanks for sharing. Why so few blooming wildflowers in the s.w. desert 2021 ?
The topography is so familiar!
I was wondering if I was watching venture4wd or some other channel.
You were on the Kokopelli trail
Actually Chris, you look much better with this look. doesn't mean you need to shave everyday but don't lose the clippers, mate.
