My favorite self help book of all time is Leo Tolstoy's Anna Karenina. I know that it is a novel, but it really inspires you to think differently about society. Also, the character Levin is a shining example of how happiness that can be found in a daily routine. Best book ever written. However, in regard to real self help books, my favorite of all time is 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and then First Things First. Most useful concept book is the Extraordinary Leader. It is mainly a course in leadership, but their is a great concept in the book about how you can increase a leadership competency by improving a different leadership competency. Thinking about this concept we can apply it to any area of our life whether is is video making, music, public speaking etc. Anyway, keep up the great work Sean.

That was a informative article, here area few more tips on how to attract wealth...
      1. Believe you are worthy of happiness, believe and you will achieve Part of attracting wealth requires that you believe you are worthy of happiness. Notice I did not say you are entitled to happiness. The operative word is worthy. The secret to creating happiness begins with our self-view. Who is going to look up upon you if you look down upon yourself?
      2. Focus on what you have right now. Many people fall into the trap of ruminating over what they don’t have or what they have lost. This unproductive line of thinking begins the downward spiral of negativity, which is a repellent against the positive forces of happiness. Its not what you have its hoe you use what you have
      3. End the cycle of learned helplessness. To continue engaging in learned helplessness is to remain trapped in the poverty’s gravitational pull. You cannot attract wealth or other positive things into your life when your emotional and Karmic space is occupied with the words, “I can’t”.
      4. Purge jealousies. Jealousy of another person’s worldly possessions means that you are occupying your mind with an illusion. Just because someone is driving an expensive car does not mean they necessarily have money or that they are wealthy. Jealousy is a liar, projecting a false narrative that is almost never grounded in the truth. Let go of your jealousies and make room for joy.
      5. Respect the power of money. Money is the by-product of your Labour and hard work When you disrespect money, you disrespect yourself. Respecting money means keeping it organized. It means tracking it on a regular basis. It means recognizing that money holds restorative and destructive powers and that it is not to be handled lightly.
      6. Study Wealth. Attracting wealth into your life requires that you go beyond wishful thinking. It means making a conscious choice to learn all you can about money and how wealth is accumulated. Examine the practices, beliefs and habits of enlightened people who have created and attracted wealth. These are your teachers.
I discovered these tips from the Elsu Easy Attraction (google it if you're interested) definately the no.1 info on becoming wealthy & successful that I have ever seen.

My personal favorites are Goals by Brian Tracy, Hero by Rhonda Byrne and the Law of Success by Napoleon Hill. The book Goals really opened up my mind to the importance of setting goals and gave me a framework to implement theme. My viewpoint changed forever after that. Hero, while I disagreed with the philosophy at first, I opened my mind up a bit. Plenty of motivational stories in there, written like a heros journey. And Law of Success is like a success referencebook, it has plenty of good advice.

Great video, love this stuff. The Deadline: A Novel about Project Management by Tom De Marco delves into the intricacies of what it takes to be a great manager, while keep you in a novel format. Easy to read and at the end of chapters there's a journal with bullet points. I read a lot of books and this is the most recent self help book that I've read. Another book I've read recently that you might enjoy is "Small Data: The Tiny Clues that Uncover Huge Trends" by Martin Lindstrom was very eye opening. Martin was named by TIME magazine as one of the worlds 100 most influential due to his work on science and marketing.

I have read a great book, "Wiseman's Book" that really enriched my insight into and developed my relationship skills, career professionalism, social skills, and my life in general. It taught me how to act in a professional, respectful, and witty manner in numerous situations, from business meetings to everyday conversations. One very useful quote from the book, that i still live by everyday is one about Reputation "Defend your reputation at all costs... It is the only thing that will outlive you". Another very important concerning friendships, and careers is "Smile, shake their hands, look them in the eye an say something nice about the... And they will always remember you." This unique book helped me give everyone a good first impression. My dad always told me that you never get a second chance to leave the first impression. In conclusion, "Wiseman's book" will appraise you with original and powerful and wise lines that will have you reflect on your performance, and will help you succeed in your professional and personal life.

The new edition of "Developing the Leader Within You" is a must read. "Developing the Leader Within You 2.0" which was 90% rewritten by John Maxwell is better then the original.

Hi! Great video. I have read most of the books you have mentioned and I'm pretty sure I'll have to go back and take notes on a couple I hadn't read yet. I recently published my second self-help book and wondered what I would have to do to get you to read, and review it. If you're interested let me know I can send PDF or paperback. Let me know!

One more area that needs special attention in my opinion is romantic relationships. The fundamentals from dale carnegie play into this however a book that changed my entire view on relationships with women is WAY OF THE SUPERIOR MAN.

I noticed you have lots of sticky notes in your books. Do you write on the sticky notes instead of the book for note taking? How do you take notes? I would really love to know! Love the video and recommendations I bought a few from you:)

What books do you recommend for young adults transitioning out of college? To a degree I feel that college doesn’t prepare you with basic essentials such as starting your own businesses or managing your self fully. Only how to work for someone else or to just keep money in the bank versus properly investing. Even as someone who took a business fundamentals program in a top 60 ranked school while pursuing their other programs.

I like how you took the time to create a list of books with a very interesting order to them. I'm going to challenge myself to read them in that order. I really never buy anything for myself so I just had this thought to buy a self help book. Thanks for the info
