    Are the studies you talk about done on women ? According to Dr Stacy Sims who researches womens health most women need 2 grams of protein pr kg of ideal bodyweight. Even more when a women is in postmenopause because when we age we do not absorb the protein as well.

    Hey Dr A! I have a question. Should I consume .73 grams of protein per pound that I currently weigh or .73 grams per pound of my goal weight? Thank you :)

      I was wondering the same. I believe it's calculated on your goal weight. Hopefully, Dr. A can chime in.

    I have a question, I just started eating Mediterranean and feel weak sometimes, what is best snack to help? I am sure my sugar is dropping, I am close to becoming diabetic.

      Enough calories? I was on one meal a day....when I went to two meals a day my energy improves

      You are not eating enough, or eating foods that don’t give you energy.

    I think when you say eat 20g more protein per day, and train that you body can use it for muscle growths, that is over 7KG after one year! 2g per lbs bodyweight is really too much, then. At least natural ;)
