  • Don't settle for boring tofu! Try out these recipes and techniques to take your tofu game to the next level.
I all too often hear people complain that they don't like tofu because it's too bland.... that's not the tofu's fault! You've gotta season that stuff right.
Let me know your thoughts in the comments down below? What's your favourite way to cook tofu?
    0:00 Intro
    1:14 Smokey Tofu Crumble:
    1 Block of Tofu
    2 Tbsp Nutritional Yeast
    1 Tsp Garlic Powder
    1 Tsp Onion Powder
    1 Tsp Smokey Chiplote Powder
(smoked paprika would work as well)
    Method:
    Crumble tofu.
Add seasoning to mixing bowl and work into the crumbled tofu.
Spread out mix on to a baking tray and bake for 25-35 minutes at 350-375 f.
Add to pizzas, salads, tacos, burritos, wraps, pasta, or chilli.
4:50 Sweet & Salty Sesame Tofu
    1/2 Block Tofu
    1 Tbsp Braggs Liquid Aminos
(soy sauce or Tamari would work too)
    2 Tsp Hot Sauce
    2 Tsp Rice Vinegar
    1 Tsp Toasted Sesame Oil
    1 Tsp Garlic Powder
    1 Tsp Onion Powder
2 Tbsp Maple Syrup or Sweet Chilli Sauce
    1-2 Tbsp Sesame Seeds
    Method:
    Cube tofu
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl minus the maple syrup/sweet chilli sauce and sesame seeds.
Watch video for quick marinade technique.
    Bake on a non-stick baking tray for 25-30 minutes at 375 f.
Using the leftover marinade, mix in the maple syrup/sweet chilli sauce sesame seeds and tofu cubes.
Place back into the oven for another 10 minutes or so.
Remove when edges start to brown.
10:24 How to Make Tofu Chewier
Freeze and thaw a full block of tofu. Right in the package works just fine!
You can thaw it on the counter in about 7 hours or in the fridge in about 24.
Drain and press out excess water.
Season and cook using your favourite recipe.

Hey everyone! Thanks for checking out the video. Let me know if my wild cousin should make more appearances. Maybe a full day of eating on his first day eating vegan?
Also, I'm sorry the music is a little loud in the intro. Do you like music in the background of the videos or do you find it distracting? It always seems so boring and dry without, but it's also annoying finding something that fits and an appropriate volume level. Let me know below.

Simnett Nutrition music? Which music? All was muted by those squishy farty sounds of the marinating part... Bad cousin for the win. Great hair he has. Also, the editing of this vid is on point! The chopping sounds were peeeeerfekt!

The music is excellent btw, just tone it down a little bit so it would be more in the background and its perfect :)

I buy firm tofu, slice it thin, put it on a pan for a second than add soy sauce and stock, garlic. It absorbs all flavors like a sponge. Try it

People eating unseasoned food and asking why it sucks, should take a deep look into a mirror.
So many people think eating healthier means eating flavorless, so I'm glad you're helping to change that!

I'll let my cubed tofu marinate in some corn starch, maple syrup, + GF soy sauce for around 20 minutes. then I put those bad boys in the air fryer on 375 for 15-25 minutes (shaking every 5 minutes or so) + then drown them in some home made sweet + sour sauce. + add some rice, broccoli, + mushrooms. it's bomb! 🙌 thanks for sharing these awesome tofu ideas. also. thanks for being a great vegan fellow. ✨🌿

Re: soy OK? I just consider the cultures that have used it "forever". They are among the healthiest, longest living folks on the planet. Good enough for me. I eat tofu, tempeh and soy curls along with other protein sources (not all in one meal-LOL), 66 years old and pretty dang healthy.
And I'm in the US, and feeling pretty heavy on election eve. So happy to laugh at your friend the mullet guy, and the squishy tofu. This looks so great. Thanks for the laughs, much appreciated! 🙏

I just had my first taste of tofu and I'm 70 years old! I used the tofu crumble recipe (the first one), and it was delicious! The only thing I couldn't find in my local grocery store was fresh cilantro, but I don't think it detracted too much from the original recipe. I was amazed at how much like meat the crumble was, both in taste and texture. A real winner and I have enough left over for a couple more meals. 😊 New subscriber here.

I'm on a 3day food fast and got hungry, so I'm having a belly full without guilt on your channel. I LOVE TOFU. THE SESAME will be my go-to as soon as I can eat again. THANK YOU.
