    Yes, I have gone overboard with buying seeds this year. So many pretty flowers to choose from. And so many different varieties of vegetables. I want some of everything! I only order when I can get free shipping. I usually order from MIGardener, Bakercreek and Botanical Interests.

      I agree. There really are so many great varieties of vegetable seeds online that you can't buy from local garden centers. I also love buying from Baker Creek. They have a great variety, fairly low seed packet prices, and free shipping which is nice. 😊🪻

    I usually wait till after Christmas to order and start seeds. I love to look at seed catalogs. That is what gets me through winter. I do not have any indoor seed starting room. Everything I do is outside. I will watch how you start seeds and grow them inside. Happy holidays.

      Looking through seed catalogs is so much fun (and relaxing, too)! That plus growing seeds indoors as well as winter sowing definitely get me through the winter here. Our last average frost date is around the end of May so it can be a very long winter for us here in central New Hampshire. Happy holidays to you as well, friend! 😊🌻

    I’ve been buy from him for years. Waiting on second order since seed launch day. Try his fertilizer if you haven’t before. I gave some to a friend to try and he was able to grow and get fruit from things he never had. Already told me to get him the big bad when I order mine. If you haven’t try the Pink Brandywine tomato.

      Thanks for sharing about the fertilizer. I did get a small sample of the Trifecta fertilizer with my seed order. I'll give it a try and see how it does with my plants. I'll also have to get some of the Pink Brandywine tomato seeds. Thanks for the suggestion! 😊🍅

    Yes, I have bought seeds from swallowtail seeds from California, geranium, white echinacea, binary zinnia’s several colors, Gaura, Basil, Geum, last year I bought from Baker Creek and still have some of those left…I am ready! Seeds have helped me endure winter,

      Those are two great places to buy seeds from! I'd like to buy some "New Look" dusty miller seeds from Swallowtail Gardens. I agree with you in that seed starting and getting my hands dirty during the winter helps make the winter months pass by quicker. 💞🌱

    Ahhh, Calli is such a pretty kitty! Yep, I bought more seeds. I purchased the following from Johnny's Seeds. They have awesome growing information on each pack and as a newbie to seed starting, it's greatly appreciated. I bought three China Asters - Tower Silver, Souffle Light Pink and Tower Violet.

      Awwww. Thanks so much. She's such a sweet kitty! 💞 I looked at that collection of China Asters that you bought. They are all very pretty! I agree with you in that Johnny's Seeds website always has great information. I often refer to their site when sowing seeds (even if the seeds were bought somewhere else). 😊🌸

    Yes I AM like you! And I bought my seeds haul from Migardener at their 30% sale. Still waiting for them to arrive! I heard only good things about Migardener. I am also growing plants from seeds to sell at my new home business called Annie Joe's Plants. I have an acre and a lot of room to grow, although I am only just starting. Had my first sale on Nov. 23rd & 24th. It was slow but people just need to see more of me. I saw what sells here and what people would like to see . I have very little luck growing tomatoes here. I have an Early Girl tomato that made it through my low desert AZ summer and finally has fruits. I grew Litle Sicily tomato. It stays small but came back strong 3 times already. It just doesn't give enough tomatoes on one plant for me. I like the cherry tomatoes here. But I need to buy some seeds if I am going to grow any. I am trying to grow native, herbs and other plants that I grow here and divide. Hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful! Catch you next time!

      Oh wow. You got in on a great sale with MIGardener. That's awesome! I'm so glad that your first plant sale went well. Give it time. You are right in that people just need to find you. Also, word of mouth is a great way for people to get to know you. It sounds like you have a great plan for your nursery. My Thanksgiving was very nice and I hope yours was too, friend! 😊💞

      How did you prevent the squirrels from eating your sunflowers? I tired growing sunflowers but the squirrels bit the heads off and ate them.

      @shantaemoseley2107 I have 10 flower pots and planted one with calendula this past year and had no trouble with squirrels. I have used garlic powder around my tulip bulbs to keep the squirrels away.

      So glad to know someone that had experience with these sunflowers in pots. I was hoping they wouldn't be too tall in a pot. I'm looking forward to trying them out this year! 🥰🌻

    I have not ordered a single seed yet. I still have not gone through all my seeds to see what I need. I like that you are doing many dwarf varieties as I would like to do more of those.

    • @budgetgardeningvita
      @budgetgardeningvita  Місяць тому +1

      I really didn't need any more seeds but I figured since I was ordering some heirloom variety tomatoes for myself and my plant nursery, I might as well order a few other neat seeds. 😅 Dwarf variety vegetables are so cool. Definitely give them a try! I've had a lot of luck with dwarf tomato, pepper and eggplant plants. 😊🌻

      I have three cats but Cali loves to be in the videos the most! 😂 Actually you'll often find Winnie looking out the window where my side walkway garden is. It's Abby that seems to hide the most. 🐈‍⬛🐈
      I'm very pleased with my MIGardener seed haul. I can't wait to start sowing the seeds! 🌱

      Hi there. Thanks so much for Subscribing to my channel! 🥰 I hear you! I too can never have enough seeds. 😅 I love growing in containers because I feel you have so much more control on the water, placement of the pot when it comes to sun or shade, etc. I'll definitely be making videos showing how I grow dwarf plants in pots so be on the lookout for those. Happy gardening, my friend - and welcome! 💗🌻

    I live in Canada , but bought from Willaim Dam and Olive Seed Company. I am embarrassed by all that I bought. I bought alot of annuals, because the only time of year I had colour in my garden was in the fall. i ordered lots of poppies, heliotrope, verbena, etc. But I bought soo many because of my addiction to your channel. Do you have a video on annuals that can be winter sown? PS. You have such a pretty cat.

    • @budgetgardeningvita
      @budgetgardeningvita  Місяць тому

      I just looked up the seed company that you bought your seeds from. They have a wonderful selection of seeds! I feel as gardeners we really can't have too many seeds... 😉💗 I do not currently have a video on winter sowing annual seeds. I plan on making those in the new year. Typically, you want to start winter sowing perennial seeds, then cold hardy annuals, then the plants that need it a little warmer. Did you buy any perennial seeds? Thanks so much. Cali is such a wonderful little kitty! 🐈‍⬛🐾

    • @karenl3454
      @karenl3454 Місяць тому

      @@budgetgardeningvita I guess I only bought 1 perennial, a scabiosa. I love them but they never come back for me in zone 3. But I did collect all the seeds I possibly could, inspired by you. Delphinium, clematis, echinacea and lots of annuals. Plus, I have a lot of propagated baby plants I hope make it through the winter. Gardening season may be over, but I'm still watching alot of gardening videos, addicted.
