Cool vid but these cars don’t compare at all
C43 coupe next?
The s3 is the more serious and focussed bit of kit from factory. But, the 140i is the far better & more engaging platform even with its naff handling & suspension. However, spend 4k on the m140i with some suspension and a LSD and it runs rings around an S3
More serious? It is a 4 pot with Haldex... and it has 1 exhaust per cyclinder 😂
@@neil5242 yep someone who hasn’t driven a stock m135/40i talking
M140i have amazing B58 engines, and if it's an auto, amazing ZF8 box. But the car is just a 118i m sport underneath.
I had an M140i for 4 years, spent thousands on it.
No matter what you do, it will only improve it to a reasonable amount over a standard car, and it will never be a really good handling thing.
An S3 isn't exactly great either, numb, understeery, FWD haldex until the front wheel lose grip then the rears get brought into the game.
My OG M2 I have now, completely standard, absolutely runs rings around any M140i on a twisty road, no matter how much money the M140i has had spent on it diff, chassis mods, bracing, m3 arms, doesn't matter.
@@DjNikGnasherswith LSD and m4 arms and bushes with lowering kit the m140i would destroy og m2 the b58 is much better engine then n55, and on the straight the m2 would be a small dot on the rear mirror, the m2 competition now that’s a proper m2 with the s55 engine
@@lukeskywalker1666 Did you even read my post ?
I HAD AN M140i FOR 4 YEARS.
I spent thousands on it. My car did not have M3/M4 arms but all that does is allow you to run more camber so you get a better turn in, from the front wheels.
My car was running 455bhp/634nm, so I know how fast they are in a straight line, as I OWNED ONE FOR 4 YEARS you muppet.
Trying to tell me about a car I owned for 4 years, when you have never even owned one yourself you turnip.
Lowering kit does not do anything for handling on an M140i.
Standard M140i is SLOWER than a standard OG M2, 0-60 times 4.6 for an auto M140i, verses 4.2 for a DCT M2.
My tuned M140i would have pulled away from my current OG M2, but not small dot in the mirror, the difference isn't that great.
Also your bullshit about S55 being a proper M engine is comical, you know nothing about cars that is obvious.
The N55 in the OG M2 is not the same as the N55 in other BMW models, it has forged parts (crank, rods, pistons, etc), and other improvements, and it is a great engine in it's own right. Plus the M2C is heavier and in reality the difference is almost nothing, with some very famous car reviewers preferring the OG M2 to the M2C.
You don't know SHIT about cars, so I suggest you keep your childish mouth shut.
Would of been better if you used a pre opf S3 with 310hp
i know, couldn’t get one sadly ☹️
The s3 would’ve embarrassed the m140i on the 0-60
💪💪
140i together
The bmw,
I wants it,
Mi needs it,
My precious 😊
It doesn’t make any sense what u said that BMW is cheaper and you would first invest in xHP even though u mentioned the gearbox is the best on the market 😂
Why not invest in a better suspension (KW or ST)?
It’s the looks of the m140i that I just can’t stand. Looks so boring. So many about too.
Audi S3 is a better car. Fact. I've owned both and the BMW 1 series shouldn't be classed as a BMW. They're a pile of crap,
Which 1 series did u have?
Yeh ea888 is better than the b58 😂😂😂😂 give over s3 is just another crappy 4 pot turbo
M140I is faster than S3 for sure .0-60 in 4.6 seconds, more torque and power. And those tfsi engines in Audi's and vw are not even that reliable
Yeah till it rains
@@stephenpearson8720 in a roll race the BMW will show the S3 who's daddy!💪
Or until you hit a b road then that mint m140 suspension and 1 wheel drive comes into play😂
Not reliable because people don’t service them, rag them out on cold and don’t exclusively put in 99 Ron I’ve had mine for 20k + and never had a problem
I've had both, and the S3, although not as fun, is by far the better motor. The haldex spins up on the S3 occasionally, but cornering performance during poor weather conditions puts the S3 on top. The cockpit on the S3 is insane. BMW didn't even come close
M140i is not on the same level as a45s and rs3s please stop😂
Tell that too the a45 I gapped the other week lol, and countless videos show how much faster it is. Rs3 is a competitor for sure, but the 140i on a rolling start would keep up no issues at all...
@@jamiekirkland8605 not stock for stock 381 in the a45 or 340 in a 140i don't get me wrong B58 is insanely good tuned but stock it's different gravy
