did you replaced and cleaned the airco filter ? and don t forget to put a leather protect on the steering wheel and thin layer on the dash in the heat over time you get cracks
Ranjit, 2 things you need to do immediately: 1. Remove those plastics from the sun visor. Not healthy for anyone. 2. Adjust the seat height.... Your knees are higher than your hip.... Not good for your back
@Harshwardan I do have a driver but he does not drive my Verna car he just cleans it. He drivers my tata Tiago which is driven a lot more in the city. The seat was lowered to shoot some b-rolls.

100% jhuth bol raha hai bhai, Anyone who has some experience will pull this car to 140 on good roads. As he is on UA-cam and it will create issue if says true speed.

Not having any active safety features like hill assist, esp, traction control is a big drawback from a car of this segment, especially when all cars besides city and verna have it, And Creta too, which comes in a similar price range.

I been following your Verna reviews and I also own the top end diesel manual and it's 15months old, till date I have completed 19k kms , historical mileage is 17.2kmpl and faced no issues till date and the annual service was well done and I was charged little over 4500/- the overall experience at the service was very good, I didn't face that foul smell issue or it could be due to the car perfume. I often face issue connecting to Auto Link App, I would have to remove the device and place it back to make it work. I also feel the Hankook tyres are very light and the air pressure reduces very quickly.
Hey I too have Verna sx petrol manual model the best highway I got was 17kmpl an worst is I get is 10kmpl average milage in city an village driving is around 11.7 to 13 kmpl I am happy with the milage my car is already 1y old an I did my annual service which cost me little over 3600rs ac no issues but I am getting some noise near the steering side on the ride side near the dash hyundai people say its stearing coulmn noise an they will replace it under warranty it's an verry tiny sound of vibrations when u go on bad roads
Ranjit ji ...the problem that u r facing of foul smell ... Tht is due to ac air filter(same as that of home ac air filters) that is kept under the glove box .. nxt time when u will give your car for service ask your service advisor to show u how to open it and clean it or go through your owners manual ..there u will find how to clean it. As u r not using your car regularly so some sort of bacteria is formed in that filter thts y those foul smells are coming .... I hope that i help u in this regards.. keep motoring .. drive safely ... Just remove the Cabin Air Filter and wash it with water; let it dry completely before fitting it back. Removing it is a minute job. If you drive around in dusty areas, regular cleaning of the filter is needed.
The solution to remove foul smell from ac is simple ... When you are parking the car do not use ac use the fan for at least 10 mins like when your looking for a space ... Such that the chemical from the ac duct is evaporated ...
Glove box thing is cabin air filter. It shouldn't stink in 6months ideally i think you need to keep your windows down for sometime during driving or park your car in sunlight for some days in a month.
We have a Verna (SX(O)). I actually felt that foul smell thing in our car too. But I found that in auto mode the car sometimes switches to external air intake and hence foul smell comes in if you are in a dirty place
I think heavy steering shift at higher speed is a good thing as it gives feedback while lane changing at highway speeds...so you shouldn't count it as negative
The foul smell is actually due to residual water vapour from the AC evaporator coil. It happens in other cars too. Simple way to solve this is to run the fan at max speed after switching off the AC for 1-2 minutes.
We usually get around 10kmpl in heavy delhi traffic with A/C ON after 1st service and didn't notice that foul smell, we've done 7.5k kms on it, we have same variant , i think this car is nice and simple car, doesn't have any gimmicks
Only downside I would say is the mileage . I get a mileage of hardly 10 in city driving during summers. Things that you can check if you are comfortable with before buying- Steering wheel which is better in other models like creta and I 20 And also rear windows don't open fully(so called feature present in many cars) which is a bit annoying.

Remove those plastic wraps from your car, they become toxic after they get exposed to the heat from sunlight. They can potentially produce that foul smell as well that you talked about in the video.
That thing under the glove box are the filters of Air conditioner. He checked if it was ok. I can also recommend you using the air conditioner cleaners. Its the same with my Hyundai too. but it got ok after a while when i changed AC filters and AC cleaners. Hope it helps..

for AC no it's not problem with your car.. It's a problem with all hyundai cars, because I have i20 Diesel Asta Option facing same issue. At the time of servicing I told them about this problem they fix it and about a month later facing same problem!
@@hairstuff371 City is 1.3 lakhs more expensive than verna. So it doesn't matter to someone who don't drive a lot of kms. Also city cvt won't give any great efficiency figure in Hyderabad traffic. Maybe 1 or 1.5 km/l more than the verna. But consider the initial purchasing cost and 6 month service period of honda. Also the thing to note is that, you can't compare the mileage you get on a trip to this historical mileage figure. When calculating this, fuel used for idling with ac on and stuff is also considered, which will be a lot in city. This is not the same as the efficiency you calculate on a long trip where the car is mostly running at good speeds. That's why I said the mileage from honda city under similar conditions won't be much different. If you look at his trip, he covered 13.4 kms in 51 minutes. So average speed is 15.7 km/h, there could be idling with AC on in that. It's some of the worst scenarios for mileage.

for that foul smell you should not turn off the car with ac on you should turn off ac and on the blower for half a minute then turn off the car it's because of the moisture that us build up in the pipes. Its not the hyundai problem any car can have the problem so try this and maybe it can solve your problem✌️
I bought the diesel Verna automatic around 8 months back and never have I had the problem of outside odour getting into the cabin when in recirculating mode. I think it might be an isolated issue with your car alone.

What do you mean by this comment? He also owns a Tata Tiago which is a cheaper car with multiple engine modes. Existing engines can be programmed with different modes, sports mode doesn't necessarily means a more powerful engine.
Sports mode means delay in gear shifting so the engine will rev at higher rpm. In Verna there is no dedicated sports mode instead they have given manual mode option where we can take control of shifting the gears but driving a traditional manual gear is absolutely fun to drive because we will be more engaged with the car than automatics in my opinion. Old is gold 😊

Not a clutch. It's a torque converter that does the job of a clutch when starting. It's true that it's not hill assist. It's just the engine having enough power in the low end to move the car forward without rolling back even on inclines.
I'm having Verna sx optional diesel , 6 months passed .. mileage always show 13 km, can it be reliable ?? give a detailed review on options in the digital speedometer display, and i also accept the AC issue, its not cooling well and some odours
That's not a common issue. You need to get the AC checked. AC actually cools really well even when it's 37 degrees outside. 13 km/l is normal in city driving conditions. We had a diesel i20 and it gave only about 14 km/l. You should expect 20 or 20+ only on highway drives.

Problem with the Tiago Automatic is I hardly drive it, mostly it's driven by my driver and I am just the passanger in that car.

I'm a relatively new driver, but the steering on this car is way too light for accuracy. After test driving the Yaris, this felt like a video game. And that's when Yaris itself isn't known for it's steering accuracy.

Hi Ranjeet, u said in bad conditions meilage could go as low as 7. Really is it that bad? I was planning to go for the SX plus auto variant but was just worried about the 10 meilage.. and now that I heard it as 7 may be it’s time I give it another thought. He also owns a Tata Tiago which is a cheaper car with multiple engine modes. Existing engines can be programmed with different modes, sports mode doesn't necessarily means a more powerful engine.
You really can get Sports mode along with eco and city mode and that too below 13 lac price- just go for Tata cars

Sports mode means delay in gear shifting so the engine will rev at higher rpm. In Verna there is no dedicated sports mode instead they have given manual mode option where we can take control of shifting the gears but driving a traditional manual gear is absolutely fun to drive because we will be more engaged with the car than automatics in my opinion. Old is gold 😊

its not a creep mode or a hill assist it is the car driving on your clutch whis is very bad for the health of your clutch in the long run
Not a clutch. It's a torque converter that does the job of a clutch when starting. It's true that it's not hill assist. It's just the engine having enough power in the low end to move the car forward without rolling back even on inclines.

I'm having Verna sx optional diesel , 6 months passed .. mileage always show 13 km, can it be reliable ?? give a detailed review on options in the digital speedometer display, and i also accept the AC issue, its not cooling well and some odours
That's not a common issue. You need to get the AC checked. AC actually cools really well even when it's 37 degrees outside. 13 km/l is normal in city driving conditions. We had a diesel i20 and it gave only about 14 km/l. You should expect 20 or 20+ only on highway drives.
