- New Hyundai Verna 2018 Petrol Review in Hindi - With growing traffic on our roads, demands for automatics have surely increased as they make our daily commute a lot more convenient. As against 1 percent contribution of automatic-transmission equipped models 10 years ago, today it's a healthy 10 percent. The 2018 Hyundai Verna automatic model that we have road tested features a 1.6-litre petrol engine mated to a 6-speed torque converter. It may not be the quickest gearbox units in terms of response, but it does its job pretty well if the priority if driven with the light foot.
And since it's based on top-end SX (O) trim of the model, it's loaded with features. In terms of safety, it has 6 airbags, ABS + EBD. Priced at around Rs 12.50 lakh (ex-showroom), this model returns a decent mileage of around 10kmpl in city and 13kmpl on highways.

Vikas Yogi Hyundai should launch Diesel Automatic in SX(O) trim as well.
It’s injustice to Diesel AT buyers paying maximum price 12.88 ex showroom and still misses out on basic features for a 15 Lac+ on road car such as KEYLESS ENTRY PUSH BUTTON START - 6 AIRBAGS - LEATHER UPHOLSTERY
If you're gonna buy an automatic variant, buying a petrol automatic makes more sense.. I bought one the last Saturday.
But like he said in the video, if you flatten you foot on the accelerator pedal, the engine will roar @6000 rpm and won't shift as you expect it to.. In a nutshell, on the highways, absence of the Sport mode is gonna prick you for certain.
Yes makes sense if you drive within the city limits and need to drive in bumper to bumper traffic! Otherwise AT doesn't make sense

Due to the 10 years limitation on Diesel cars in delhi, we are forced to buy the petrol variants for better resale value. But the all new Verna is really impressive...

It’s disappointing that hyundai didn’t give fully loaded Diesel Automatic.
Why hyundai always mess up with Automatic variants?
A diesel AT buyer should get all the options of a petrol AT variant.
A diesel buyer wants more features as a diesel car it will be running more requires safety and frills.
Why don’t you give feedback to hyundai that launch SX(O) in Diesel Automatic as well.

Sir Baleno zeta petrol or Elite I20 asta petrol. Mileage is not our first priority. As we want Good Safe nd Comfortable Car. Nd our monthly running is not more than 500 Km.

Nothing beats a Vento TSI in petrol ATs. Verna AT would be a good, comfortable commuter. Not a sporty performer like the TSI.

My pick would be the Rapid solely because of the handling attributes and high speed stability. In City, Verna is better and its diesel model is quite refined.
ICN Studio whats the top speed of rapid? N i guess in this price range 8-13 lakh. No other car can meet the standards of verna n rapid. Or i miss something ?

sir i hv recently purchased i20 diesel previously i was using ertiga
in i20 without accelerating(acceletor par pher rake bager/without keeping leg on acceletor pedal)it runs on 20 in 2nd 25 in 3rd 30 in 4th & 35 in fifth which didn't happen in maruti when i asked showroom they told me its normal in i20 for it i hv to frequently use brake &cluth in traffic is these is in every i20 is it really normal

I have Hyundai and Skoda. Took verna new test driVe last week for my friend. Very nice for the driver but somehow we found Skoda Rapid Style plus is much better. ( Though I have both cars ). Pickup of New veena is better than Skoda but Skoda is Skoda. Pleae don't feel am partial as I have both the brands.

It's shift lock release. It's not a button. You need to remove the cap and insert a screwdriver or something to use it. It is to release the shift lever when the car can't be turned on and you're stuck in park. Let's say you're battery is dead and the car is in Park. You can't move the lever to neutral without turning the car on. This shift lock release is to unlock the lever so you can put it into neutral without turning the car on.
