In last 4 years value of rupee has depreciated a lot, steel cost inflation is high, increase in labour costs after covid, silicon shortage costs more money as well, also verna has improved on every single account from much powerful engine, better infotainment, ADAS lvl 2 , larger wheelbase, more space , basically it has nearly all the features of a sedan of a higher segment. So the increase in value is expected. Edit: now 5 star GNCAP.
Thats why competition is important to some instant
The Verna is more powerful, packs more features and has more or less the same space. Same with the slavia and virtus. Not all that hard to understand.

I was ignoring the Verna till now, only because I didn't expect them to get anything above 3 stars. However, after the ratings, I've been very impressed with Hyundai's package.
But how can we believe GNCAP Test?
What if Hyundai paid them.

I took a test of this specific variant the other day, in terms of sheer speed and acceleration it beats the virtus-slavia 1.5s but suspension is very soft, I think Hyundai was going for a Jack of all trades thing. Nevertheless, it's still a sedan and I was confident on it doing triple digit speeds. Given the features, ADAS and Hyundai's after sales, service and vast network, not mention resale value... The verna is a serious competitor!

Anyone who wants to convert a family saloon to a sports saloon should first upsize the tyres and change the suspension. Upsizing the tyres is a no-brainer. stiffer suspension should be re-considered if you have good use of rear seat space.

This is hands down one of the best cars in the 20-50L segment when it comes to to its performance, features, AS&S and Value for money! Currently having a 2019 Verna and I wanted to mover to a higher segment (say the Tucson/Tiguan), but man oh man! This car puts a smile on my face when you floor it.

Ncap 5 stars, this car is now the best in it’s segment.
It has more features than slavia and virtus where the price is also cheap.
The only reason i used to love skoda is cause of safety but now that verna has 5 stars i think it is best choice for someone who wants safety with good bhp as verna is fastest in its segment .

Bro this has a unstable body shell at 64 kmph cant handle sharp turns and virtus/slavis have much more ground clearance
@@kartikeyadhakad1455 agree, i myself love skoda slavia … but thanks to hyundai now skoda, virtus have competition as you can see they reduced their price and also added new features to their interior, skoda even launched new matte black slavia with top end for 21.40 lakh where the price before was 22.10 something.

verna turbo is very good car but not safest as it still scored lesser points with unstable structure with 6 airbags vs 2 in virtus. vw has better dynamics and better control at higher speeds and significantly more fun to drive . alto k10 and creta diesel have similar 0-100 acceleration time doesnt mean k10 is better. but hyundai has improved a lot especially with verna 1.5 turbo and nline series. still hyundai has here has four major advantages aftersales network, acceleration,adas and price.

It is be the segment best in terms of everything except safety and build quality. Germans are simply on another level. Would be awesome if Bharat NCAP tests this car .
Germans built quality is quite poor. It's not like rapid or vento used to be. So verna is actually better at build quality

Tune this engine to 20-30 hp more but they are might think about cost?
Tuning means more stress on engine also have to upgrade gearbox,clutches cause engine producing more power,better cooling system a lot of stuff is to be done to make car drive like stock one.also your car can fail in emission test when you go to take pollution test

Seltos turbo DCT has better handling, less body roll and better steering feedback and also the brakes feel sharper compared to Verna turbo DCT.
But verna is a 5 star rated car vs seltos is 3 star rated
So it depends on priority
@@HarshDangar-br5ze Not really what you think. Seltos facelift feels as solid as Verna in terms of built quality. Pre facelift Seltos feels weak in terms of built quality. The doors, bonnet, tailgate of Seltos feels as heavy as XUV700, although NCAP ratings aren't come so far, I believe it's better than Grand Vitara, Hyryder and Creta.
