Sweet thanks man and I always gotta stay positive in these times my wife just lost her grandmother and I’ve gotta stay strong for her just after her celebration of life and she’s the one who’s been my big support helping me with my Rc hobby and I just try and stay as positive as I can and Rc just helps me get away from everything when I’m working on them love to wrench and work on these little cars.
Thanks I appreciate it man I finally got my video up how to put castor blocks on the sunfire 4wd buggy it’s super basic editing and I think I’m gonna keep it that way for a while but yea once I get my Tmaxx up and going if the funds are good at the end of the summer I’ll get it going and post up new content on the OG Tmaxx keep having fun Rcing man love your videos.
@@bigbristv yeah, that's a good sign! Have extra glow plugs ready, some times after break in the plug will foul out, also that's good fuel. The 2 speed was smacking and lean it out slowly. a little less smoke will come out and less oil! 👌😂😂😂
Nice kit Bigbris, I'm always elated when I see you get a new kit, you need to cut a hole in the front windshield and the back for air flow for your engine head to stay cool and you might have to lean down your engine with the flat head screwdriver on the top end of the carburetor it might be running rich only 1/8 turn clockwise and just listen to the engine. hey have a great time tuning you car and blast baby 😄 Be blessed may brother; another fun video nice.....🤗
You have to cut a hole in the front window for air flow for the head of the motor and a hole in the back window I use my reamer and put holes in the front and the back window and got a header and a tune pipe to open it up
The smoke n sound is why nitro has any market imo. But an electric outperforms in nearly everything performance wise and drivability. And stealth if that's what u like. I had my fill of the noise. And I had carbon pipes that seemed way louder than a stock pipe as well. As much as I would like a 5b ,it's the sounding like a loud dirt bike which annoys everyone around you that keeps me from getting one. U can't drive them whenever like an electric. Seams like nitro is more of a novelty compared to when it was popular. Before brushless and lipo tech
You know, I was waiting for my neighbors to be annoyed with all the noise and whatnot, even considered where I'd break it in before it came, but to my surprise nobody complained. I even gor a few smiles. 😁
@@bigbristv consider yourself lucky considering how much many ppl bitch about everything nowadays. Idk if they make it it anymore, but they used to have something u put in your fuel called nitrosents that makes its exhaust smell like difrent fruit, cotton candy, root beer etc. idk if they make it anymore. Lol
Another cool video and cool car my man, but NO CHANCE in the world I'd ever get into nitro and all. Just got into this and only because after many years my brother told me they run on battery. Gas, noise, smell, mess.....not for me. But I'll still keep with ya because even though I won't go that route, you as I said always make the video entertaining. Keep having fun and enjoying!!
Did you set your fail-safe to brake if the signal is lost. Just hold the brake on when binding the turn off the transmitter and the brake should come on.
@bigbristv fail safe will work with the supplied RX and transmitter. I use the Spektrum DX5 Rugged though I'm thinking of switching to the Radiomaster MT12. The ELRS has amazing range and good prices recivers or you can buy a 4 in 1 it's a multi protocol transmitter give it a look.
Can you recommend some? I was looking for something that would fit but RX battery searches kept landing me nimh or nicad batts. So I bought some rechargeable AAs for now and a charger and they're powering the servos much better than those environmentally friendly joints. 🙃
@@bigbristv you need to see how much servos can take the voltage , with these AA batteries they cant work in full power, and it can cause runaway if the one AA battery disconnect
The rechargeable AA batts I bought are 2000mah NiMH and 4 would be 6v like the servos need. Not sure if these servos can handle 7.2v but I don't want to find out. I'll see what happens. 😊
HSP are great cars cheapskate and plenty of upgrades available. My recommendation is to get the rotor start kit it makes life so much easier. Welcome to nitro life it cam ne frustrating at first but once you get the hang of it the smell and noise makes it for me.
@bigbristv the part number is 70111A its a HSP electric starter kit comes with the rotor starter and back plate. I the rotor start on all my nitro. I have one jumper box but they have to be set up for each car to I find the rotor start is just easier if you have multiple nitro keep enjoying it 👍🏻
Nice man I got the electric one of these just be careful running on the streets like that or your car could end up under neath one I'd recommend hump back battery pack in stead of the box with the 4 batterys my m8 nitro fulx has louds of nitros if you ever get stuck hit him up he probably be able to help I'll put link to his channel 👍
I been running the HSP Rally pro car for about 4 years now. So the brushless version of this one I think. Yeah, hell with that TX... 8 AA?? The chassis is super tough, I beat on this thing.... Only broke a few things. Cheap as chips to replace though. Subbed! Cheers dude!
Enjoy the inevitable nitro headaches that are to come . Try to Keep some extra glow plugs , a clutch assembly and get a good air filter, and keep all the different batteries charged, too many times I had a glow igniter fizzle out while trying to start up car. Such a letdown. If u run nitro a lot you will learn all this stuff eventually regardless. Or it'll be run over before u want it to be. I'll just say I stopped rc probably 15 yrs ago because I couldn't afford to switch all my nitro to electric. And try keeping the pull start in good condition cuzz it sux when those break! Just some imprinted wisdom from my nitro days to help you if u choose to acknowledge. Have fun!. Ps. I'm back into rc as of a few years ago!! Lol electric only . All my old nitro is buried in storage.maybe someday ✌️

A HSP nitro is a cheap way to get in to it. I not sure what's the price there but here in Malaysia there 140usd. I have a 1/8 nitro buggy been going strong for over 12yrs te brand has been around a long time and underrated.
@scaleworksRC its ok parts are the same price. The glow plugs can be expensive but last a long time and buy fuel by the gallon, and it's not as bad. The sounds the smells make it worth it, and no worries about lipo fire's unless you want to use a lipo. I just use a nihm hump pack.
@@bigbristv ya my Traxxas t Maxx I got in 2007 was ok just plug s burned up a lot or flood stall a lot ,but the gotten better for sure, but when electric Rc really came long away as well
